Pan, the Greek god of passion and lust, does not often manifest directly. But when Hermione Granger makes an offering at his fountain (and touches his granite flank just so), he makes an exception. Or his daughter said pretty please. This is Pan, after all. Either one – or all or none – are possible.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, married to a wonderful man who makes me laugh, thinks I'm beautiful and surprises me with roses for no bad reason.
If it's words on paper (or on the computer screen), I'll read it. Visions plague me, so I write them down. Occasionally, I even share them with others.
My personal goals include taking over the world and achieving immortality, but I'm willing to start small.
Other fics of mine can be found on my LiveJournal.

oh, my, Hermione, what did you activate now?
A Galleon well spent Severus. Now back to London, where they can hold on to each other to their hearts content.

I'm glad you liked Thank you for reading!
Marvelous beginning -- and a very unique take on Pan, I must say! . I very much look forward to future installments?
P.S. Will this be a novella, do you think? If so, I will put it on my "watch list". Many thanks for, thus far, an intriguing read!
Absolutely loved the first three chapters. I do hope the satyr doesn't have to come back to often, not that I don't like her, but since her return will be because Hermione and Severus hasn't given eachother some joy......:-))
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
Thank you for staying with me this far.I'm afraid to tell you that she will show up again, but I promise it's not all bad...
Well, he knows she is interested... one he just needs to DO something about it!
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
I know, right? He will. Probably.Thank you!
(Bangs her head in frustration, repeatedly ...) I despair of these two, they are hopeless! Not even intervention from a demi-goddess will get it into their heads (or elsewhere). Wonderfully written, thank you!
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
Ah, if it was easy, it wouldn't be any fun. Thank you!
Ah... PLEASE don't tell him I called him a fool, I don't much feel like being turned into a frog.
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
Sometimes gods think things are so simple and straightforward while for us humans they are not.Let's hope Hermione's wish will be fulfilled before the night has end though.
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
Well, if it's not, they're in for another visit... Thank you for reading!
Don't just sit there you fool!! go after her!!!!!
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
LOL! I love your reaction!Thank you for reading.
Lovely! I'm looking forward to what happens next! I love Severus and Hermione working together in fics.If I may make one suggestion: Brits don't use the word 'ass' to describe someone's backside. They use the word 'arse'. It's not a critique, just a Britpick.
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
I appreciate the Britpick. I am American and, as I don't have a dedicated Britpicker, I don't use British slang and terminology if I can help it. I know it can be jarring to suddenly come across a 'foreign' term in a fic - I feel the same way when I'm reading a fic that is clearly from an American writer and suddenly starts using 'arse' for ass. To me, it's the lesser of two evils to use the terms I'm familiar with.Thank you!
Intriguing. Mythology and Hogwarts; I hope it will be a long tale - Pan is such a wonderous God - and both HG and SS need his blessings. As for the Greek lilt - didn't the Romans worship whichever God took their fancy and answered a need??- looking forward to the next unfolding.Thank you for not giving SS a sadistic bent - those variations of his character both sadden and squick me.

I used Pan because I'm much more familiar with Greek mythology than I am Roman. Faunus is usually the Roman analogue to Pan, but I found his normal perception as a younger woodland demigod didn't work for for this. The older set of Pan myths - the idea of him as a more primal agricultural deity, the eldest of the gods - fits much better with a Green Man \ Horned God motif. Which is perfect for this story. :)Thank you for reading.

Hawt! If only they didn't need the help of a wish in order to see what the other wants... But then if that happened, there wouldn't be a story! xD
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
Very, very true :)Thank you!
Oh, dear! This is *great*! Although if she thinks Hermione is suspicious and asks a lot of questions, she's going to have to raise the bar when she meets Severus. Thanks for continuing this.
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
Thank you for reading!
Pan's daughter should be able to sort out our couple.
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
I'm sure she will. Of course, she'd probably have more fun if they were stubborn about it...
Looking forward to more! Love this start.

I am curious as to how a Greek god came to end up in England. But so far, you are convincing me that you can pull off an explanation, and I look forward to reading more!
Response from deianaera (Author of A Wish For Severus Snape)
Thank you. The explanation comes in the next chapter.
