Two little wizards and one little witch meet in the Hogwarts Express on their way to their first school term. This story can stand alone, with no reference to any other fanfiction; however, it has acquired a bit of a universe of its own :)

Mostly Harmless! Though I have to admit, I'm even stranger than I appear. ;-) There's a pile of unbeta'd stuff on my LJ (dracfic) if you're interested in Raw, Untamed, fanfic.
Believe it or not, "How Argus Filch Got Wild, Got Laid, and Got His Magic" has been rec'ed by Know It Alls! It's true! They gave me this pretty lil' ribbon and everything! And in March 2007, they saw fit to likewise reccommend (as an antidote to angst) the story that started it all, 'Courtesy of Your Fairy God-Jarvey'--just in time for the first anniversary of that story's posting! *hugs Harm*
(I also have to admit that 'mostly harmless' may not be the most apt description of a member of the Mad Chatters...)
Finally, I just have to say... Storyville. If you were there, you know what I mean.Reviews for A Credit to Their Houses
Family is more important! ^_^

Thank you most kindly! There's a bit of a RL update on dracfic (my livejournal) for all those who offered good wishes.
Yea, another chapter.... more more moreLove this one so much. Thank you for more!

Thank you very much! All that will be written of this story has now been posted, though there are a few side stories awaiting completion on the old hard drive. As to the continuing RL interruption to my writing, there's a bit of an update on dracfic (my livejournal) for all those who offered their good wishes.
Oh, dear. I'm sorry to hear such bad news. I hope your family member will get well soon. Take care!

I'll be waiting for the updates. Please take care and look after yourself. Hope your family emergency situation improves soon and lots of prayers and love.

Thanks very much! I've got the end out, and will be working on all the side bits during down times. It's less of an 'emergency' now and more an indefinite, chronic cituation. One learns to cope, and look forward to bright spots--like reviews.

Under the circumstances, I will wait patiently, and wish you and your family well. Remember to take care of yourself, as well as the person who is ill, you won't make anyone else better, if you make yourself ill.

Thank you kindly! Knowing that someone is waiting for the story helps brighten up the more tedious times. (Looking on the bright side, I may even learn to write longhand again, having to jot story ideas down in a notebook instead of being able to type them right into the document.)

Poor Rose, parents sometimes say foolish things, that children take to heart, I'm sure that scorpius' kind offer won't be needed.
It is good to see that being dead for so long, has not slowed Severus down, too much.
Now that our new little Slytherins are settling in, it only remains to see how te news is recived at home.

Severus is sulking behind his curtain and telling me that I have undermined his privacy by making his identity too obvious. The finer details will have to await side stories, a couple of which are already in progress. A gist of things past will appear in the epilogue as soon as I can polish it, but for now, this is it. I'll post the one tiny, finished bit that I have tonight, and hope that circumstances will allow me to work on the rest soon.As always, thank you very much for reviewing!
Fred would be so ashamed, to have such a bully named after him.
Three young hearts, bound together in friendship is a beautiful thing. The sorting is going to be interesting.

Hopefully, when the current crisis is over, I can get the adults in Young Fred's life together to undo some of the mistakes they have inadvertently made with him. He's young enough that there's hope!Thank you very much for reviewing
love it.. loove severus was added to this chapiee. update real soon.. lovethe friendship between rose, al, and scorpius!!!
Response from dracontia (Author of A Credit to Their Houses)
Shhh... no one is supposed to know about the man behind the curtain. There will be only one more tiny drabble and an epilogue to this story; the tiny bit is going up tonight. I do have a couple of one-shot side stories with the children and/or the adults in their lives. I can't give any time frame for when it will all see daylight, since life will not permit me much writing time for the foreseeable future. Thank you very knidly for taking time to review!
