The Department of Mysteries has its own set of entrance criteria, but as Hermione is about to discover, it's not slaying a dragon. It's not even wrestling a troll. It's something far, far worse.

Not much of my fic is archived here, but I've proved that I do like to review!

Reviews for Falling
So it's more about Severus learning to trust, than someone trusting him, or maybe it's both.
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
You're there!
Hm...I've been certain all along that Severus's task would require him to make a friend or to fall in love again, anything that would get him to come out of the self-imposed shell that he's used to keep himself safe in for the last thirty years! "Trust" is a very elegant and succinct way of summarizing what Severus needs -- and I find it very apropos that what he really needed in order to fulfill this particular task was a Gryffindor (since most of them don't seem to have a single subtle or deceitful bone in their bodies) since Gryffindors played a decisive role in the formation of that shell of his.

Thank you for this review - you've got to the heart of it far more quickly than I did! Those are exactly the things I wanted for him
Aww. This is so sweet. Smoking and getting rid of two of the more challenging bosses seems to have softened him up a bit. I can hardly picture him toweling someone dry while at Hogwarts... at least not in any sort of nice way.And the part about the trust? So spot on. But who can blame him?
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
I'm glad you liked this chapter
(two of the more challenging bosses *snort*)
When Severus pulled TRUST out of the machine, it did get me thinking that it must be him who has to trust. Hermione already told him she trusted him, and if she said she did, then she does. I bet his next trip to the Ministry will be much better.

Yep, you got it!
Awwwww, so sweet! I want to be a fly on the wall and see what will happen... wait, you can tell me, right?
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
Sure, I'll tell you! It's like this...
What is snape afraid of? The tension is great, well told story! Thanks for writing.
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
Thank you for reviewing! I love building the tension in stories but wasn't sure if i'd managed it in this one as it is a bit squished together, so that's good to hear!
Thank you so much for the update, I loved it. I would love to know what Severus task is, will you let us know soon? Does it have anything to do with Harry?
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
I'll keep you guessing for a bit, I'm afraid. Although I'd love to hear your guesses :)
very promising. Looking forward to more...
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
Thank you :) I hope you enjoy the rest.
Your take on Severus' situation post-war was original and refreshing - and, may I say, rather realistic? This first chapter is very promising, and I'm looking forward to the next one. :)(The custard was hilarious! Genious!)
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
I much prefer this post war existence to Azkaban... or worse, what happened in canon!
Enjoy the custard while it lasts :)
Just great! Especially once I reached the end of chapter one and re-read the title of the fic x) Can't wait ;)Enjoyed your Department of Mysteries and character descriptions very much.

I think I'd like to write more about the DoM - it's a world within a world :)
More to follow...
Hey this looks like fun! Hermione might need a cup of tea as well after having her ears chattered off. I wonder who would be the best person to help her out with flying...?I haven't had Rich Tea biscuits in ages!! Now I'll have to buy some :o)
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
A cup of tea... or a large brandy!
Enjoy your biscuits!
What a intriguing first chapter, I really liked it and I look forward to read more.
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
Thank you very much - more is on its way!
Severus' plight is an unusable but very welcome different start and I am looking forward to more of your story. Thank you!
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
A lot of post war stories see him either locked up in Azkaban or a celebrated war hero... I looked for a middle ground, which unfortunately for the poor man, was him being mostly ignored.
Thank you for your review :)
Oh my, this is a great story, different and so far just full of excitement!
Response from anoesis (Author of Falling)
Thank you! I have a wonderful prompt to work with :)
Enjoyed your Story very much, thank you!
I really enjoyed your story... such a pity it wasn't longer! I'm really looking forward reading some more of your stories
I really enjoyed this first chapter, especially the Departament of Mysteries interview. Looking forward reading the next one!
