Working mom. Cute but time-consuming kids. Too many hobbies. You know the drill.

Considering that he asked the Weasley twins for advice, I'd say he got off light. But his apology was cute - self-sacrifice is such a very Snape thing to do.

Aww .. At least it was butterflies.  And a happy ending.  Still, he should have known better than to ask the Weasley twins and expect to come out unscathed. :)

That was so sweet, I'm glad Hermione forgave him, the two " old" rose's every year is the cheery on top.

Response from Owlbait (Author of Valentine Roses Deaux)

There's something about the hormonally driven life of a butterfly that is so less complicated than human love. Plus, they are so cheerful :o)

Awwwww, bug porn.  Sevvie did the right thing.

Response from Owlbait (Author of Valentine Roses Deaux)

Thank you, Sevvie was smart for once in his life, and it paid off.

LOL..   The 'apology' was positively adorable!

Response from Owlbait (Author of Valentine Roses Deaux)

I'm glad that went over well, I love me some butterflies.

"What could possibly go wrong?"  Famous last words, if there ever were any!  Is it safe to assume that the effects simply wore off after a while (as with most of the other Weasley Wheezes creations) instead of requiring drastic intervention?

Response from Owlbait (Author of Valentine Roses Deaux)

Oh yes, the effects are temporary. Rather longer lasting than the Canary Cremes, and with a somewhat random duration. The twins would mind it less if they had designed them deliberately that way, but it is a side effect they hadn't been able to get rid of.

Response from MlleGigi (Reviewer)

Hm...I just had another thought.  Is it also safe to assume that Hermione was the one whose "delicate insect foot" stroked Severus's wing rather than vice versa?  I imagine that Hermione might have been a bit put out -- more than a bit, actually! -- if Severus had chosen to take a liberty after making such a colossal blunder, even if only in apology

Response from Owlbait (Author of Valentine Roses Deaux)

Hard to say which was which - butterflies are pretty strongly hormone driven. I have a feeling that let both of them let down their gaurd a bit and is why they remember it fondly ;-)

Still so sweetly funny, owlie. And again, I have to tell you how much I love (the idea of) Severus's and Hermione's new-found Valentine's Day tradition!

Response from Owlbait (Author of Valentine Roses Deaux)

Thank you, Tea, and thank you for all your help and inspiration!

Owlie, this is adorable!  Such a Weasley twins sort of happening, and sweet how Severus made it work out all right in the end! :)

Thank you, and thank Tea for helping me with the brainstorming.

Thank goodness Hermione had a good sense of humor. And Severus really should have known better than trusting Fred and George, but it worked out in the end.

Response from Owlbait (Author of Valentine Roses Deaux)

Yes, well, Severus was a bit off the deep end by the time he got to their shop. Normally he'd have known better :o)

That was surprisingly inventive! I absolutely love that Severus and Hermione have an annual tradition that's so uniquely their own, and it all came from a prank.
