Personally I haven't forgiven Molly for any of her crimes either. Particularly for trying to keep the Trio in complete ignorance because she wanted them to remain children. Lucky for her Hermione is a forgiving sort, although maybe the Slytherins have plotted a subtle revenge...

Hell hath no fury, like a Slytherin scorned, and Severus has been well scorned.

Hm, good point. I admit that I don't really think Hermione and Ron were suited to each other; he wanted a family and when he knew that he couldn't have one with Hermione, he was looking for a way out. He wanted an earth-mother type more like his own mother. Hermione wanted someone to match her brain...

She knew that Harry met Voldemort on an almost annual basis, yet insisted that the Trio were kept in ignorance because 'they're just children' and she didn't want them to grow up, then she used the killing curse on Bellatrix. Obviously that's not Unforgiveable if you use it on a baddie. Even Harry didn't use it on Voldie...

I dislike Molly intensely and I think someone who prevented the Trio from being taught what they needed to defend themselves because they were 'just children' and who was capable of casting the killing curse (that even Harry didn't use on Voldemort) was not a nice person. She also blamed Hermione when Rita Skeeter wrote that Hermione was two-timing Harry with Krum. Really? Molly preferred to believe a muck-raking journalist rather than the girl who was Harry's best friend? A girl who was 14 years old? We're not talking about an adult here but an adolescent girl.Although Hermione and Ron didn't ask her to interfere, she was aware that they were trying for a baby. It still was no excuse.

I never did like Molly, so I fear that I use her as a scapegoat in my fics rather a lot. She was the adult who, despite knowing that Harry and his friends had fought Voldemort almost every single year, still insisted that they were told nothing, kept in ignorance, given few weapons to fight with and treated as kids, simply because she didn't want them to grow up too fast. She didn't actually do anything to keep them safe. However, I don't think that she would actually curse Hermione, that would go against everything she had done. Try to ensure that Hermione had children (without actually checking if she wanted them - Molly knew Ron wanted them but she didn't actually ask Hermione herself) is a very Molly thing to do - Mother knows best, after all. I think that actually Hermione might have been cursed, not by a Death Eater, but by someone sneaky with a grudge; another student, perhaps, such as Marietta? Or maybe it was a result of a couple of different curses colliding. And someone may tell Molly what they think of her...
