Thirty-something Welsh woman with a job, two kids, a dog and increasingly neglected housework due to my new-found obsession with the world of HP fanfic. Dusting just slipped even lower down my list of priorities ...
Oh, and "bleddyn" is a Welsh name meaning "little wolf", in case you were wondering!

*Snort* Bach's output of children was also suspiciously high for a mere mortal! But we digress...Loved the name you chose for the tempermental horse. Was that a nod to Sweeney Todd? This fic rocks my world. Love the banter, love the tension, love the mystery. Can't wait until the next update! Thanks for posting--hm88

No, the horse was named after Dick Turpin, the highwayman. I've not seen Sweeney Todd - now I've Googled it I've realised the totally coincidental Rickman link!I'm so glad you're enjoying the ride!

You shocked me. Shocked, I say. I had NO idea that Douglas Adams had died, and I had to go off on a little internet rabbit trail of his life and times. And back now. Review the story. Your writing continues to be excellent. I love your settings; they make me feel as if I am there, and your characters are lovely, at least so far. I have hope that your villains will be lovely in their nastiness, and look forward to reading about them when they show up in this story. As someone who has owned and driven many British cars, your automotive analogies and references were a happy addition. I also liked your little back story of Snape's horse experience. Especially since the unbroken colts that I work with have all taken more time and effort on my part to achieve that level of trust with me!

I'm so sorry - I'd have broken the news of his death more gently if I'd realised I was actually, you know, breaking the news!Glad you enjoyed the British cars. Though I live here and drive a Ford and a Toyota.... You can borrow Snape to help with the horses, if you'd like.

This is such a pleasure to read. I love the way you're developing the characters - their banter is perfect - as well as the plot, as they use both deception and a truth hidden beneath... Alongside the mystery of Markov, the story is, overall, captivating. I'm sorry for Helen, too :(

Jaguars are my favorite fantasy cars! Hermione is soooo lucky! Markov sounds too sneaky. That Muggle-repelled door leads to something big, I suspect. And I wonder what would happen if they removed the Ashwinder eggs from Helen's migraine pills? Would she start detesting Markov? I loved the comment from Snape about Hermione's butt being deformed from all those years of sitting in the library! I howled!

Howling is good! I'm with you on the Jag - if my employer turned round to me and said "You're posing as a high-powered business woman - go and hire yourself a car", that particular model would be first on my list. Unfortunately I don't think that's a terribly likely scenario for me! Thanks for reviewing!

A super conclusion to the story. And very fine that Paradise By the Dashboard Light was the title :)
I hope Snape does tell her. Someday.
Thank you for a lovely story. :)
Falling out of bed indeed. *giggle* Oh, but he is a Slytherin.
Also I suspect that the Call Of Love is going to be proven in a later chapter? I'd love it if Hermione got to say "I told you so."
Also I must add, that I really love that Snape is so at ease with himself and his new life.
I really like your take on the world around the story. Molly's success with her meals, Hermione's training with muggles and wizards, her thing with Charly. It adds depth and strength to Hermione.
Oooh. I love Meat Loaf (especially the Steinman lyrics). Love your idea. I'm looking forward to several chapters. And I'm humming "Pulled the word's right out of my mouth".
I think I might be in love with this. Unique premise, fluidly executed. I love your characterisations - they ring true to canon whilst having a refreshing twist. Sort of like adding lemon to the ol' cuppa.

Or possibly lime to a gin and tonic? Thank you so much for your lovely review - I hope you enjoy the rest of the story as well!

Brilliant! I absolutely love this premise, and the natural banter between Severus and Hermione has left me giggling like a little school girl, on more than one occasion. Wonderful narrative, and I can't wait to see where this develops! Thanks so much for sharing! ♥♥

I was absolutely delighted to see this third chapter up! I am enjoying the humour that enhances the story, and the very evocative descriptions. And the cyclist that darted out into traffic! I look forward to your next chapter! And now I am off to listen to Meatloaf.

Thanks so much for your lovely review. Please don't be influenced by my questionable taste in music, though! (I blame my father!)

I'm wondering if we are going to see a successful demonstration of the Vocant Amoris? Somehow, even though they protest too much, I think they could call to one another.I am so curious who Markov could be if he didn't recognize Hermione already. I don't think he is Malfoy. You haven't said who specifically is still at large. Wasn't Dolohov Russian? Won't he recognize Snape on sight? Why doesn't Snape wear a disguise?Great Story.

Now I'm sure you don't really want me to answer your questions yet! All will be revealed ....

Thanks for updating. Have I told you yet I love this story because of the very original storyline?I am glad Hermione took all kind of safety precautions for this mission, and after their testdrive I am more than convinced that our lovely couple really can act as a lovey couple - without knowing yet that they are indeed a couple, LOL. However, I am slightly concerned they'll worry more about being convincing as a couple than being convincing as muggles while the latter might become a bigger problem than the former. So please share with us soon how everything works out..

I'm glad you've found the storyline original, and I hope it continues that way!

What a wonderful first foray into the genre! I look forward to the next chapters and whatever other plot might come to you. And an original idea, too!

This is delightful! Severus and Hermione's banter reminds me a little of the old Katharine Hepburn/Cary Grant movies.

That's exactly the sort of feel I was going for, so thanks for that!

Great conversations/flirting. Looking forward to more. Thanks for writing!

loved this chapter too, wonderful banter and a lot for your imagination. A handcuffed Severus and a busy Hermione with Charles must have been a sight to remember. I love the way you portrait Severus and Hermione, in character but both have loosened up a bit

Thank you so much, and I'm glad I've fuelled your imagination!
I don't really like to take a chance on a WIP, but I realize that feed back can be important to the writer in order to continue with a story, and to improve their work, so I break my own rule sometimes. Now my fingers are crossed that you will finish this one, as I have really enjoyed what you have written so far! Your story seems very original so far, and I am also enjoying the sound track, having pulled up some of Meatloaf's songs on YouTube to listen to while reading. Molly's Millisecond Meals, Hermione's training with the FBI, the books and the cottage that came with them, all very compelling and nicely thought out. Not to mention a Hermione who doesn't need rescuing from a dismal dead end job, like so many (albeit well written) fics that I have read lately, and I think you have a winner here! Nicely crafted, and I hope to enjoy this through to the end and then many more from you as well!Thank you so much!
Response from bleddyn (Author of Bat Out of Hell)
And thank you for taking a chance on my story! You're right - the feedback is really important. Rest assured, it will be finished - the other chapters are either complete or sketched out in detail. Introducing someone to Meatloaf is an unintended side-effect. I apologise for inflicting my questionable musical taste on you! I hope you carry on enjyoing the story.
Response from Who (Reviewer)
Oh, you didn't inflict your musical taste on me; I know almost all the lyrics to Paradise by the Dashboard Lights off by heart! I can wait all nightWhat's it gonna be, boy? Yes or noI am glad to hear that you have so much done with other chapters and I look forward to them!
Okay, now I'm getting the image of a threesome of Severus, Charlie and Hermione. Ewww! Of course, the image of Filius and Minerva working over a naked Snape probably takes a close second. Very entertaining. ^_^
Response from bleddyn (Author of Bat Out of Hell)
Glad you've been entertained! I would like to reassure you (spoiler alert!) that a Severus / Charlie / Hermione threesome will not be making an apperance in this story, so you can keep reading in comfort!!
Naked, handcuffed Snape? Gives me chills!! (the good kind)Why do I get the feeling that their walking into a trap at Markov's?
Response from bleddyn (Author of Bat Out of Hell)
Glad you enjoyed the image!
