EWE. Marriage is not all roses and sunshine, when Nagini's venom proves unexpectedly potent. Angst, angst, and more angst.

Male. Married. Live in Florida. Owned by two Egyptian Maus, a red tabby, and a hairball-emitting pile of fluff.

Ouch! Those two need to do some serious communicating! :)
Response from Doomspark (Author of Discard)
Communication is one of the three legs of any serious relationship. Should I assume that you're joining in the call for me to fix this somehow?
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
Only if you want to. It stands alone just fine.
Oh, after reading what Severus thinks is going on, this is just heartbreaking.
Response from Doomspark (Author of Discard)
This is one of my "student of human nature" stories - how misunderstandings can lead to intolerable situations. Thanks for reviewing!
Oh, dear heaven - you've got to find a way to fix this. Neither of them deserves to be so miserable. Having taken on the role of caretaker, myself, though thank the gods not to such a terrible degree, I can understand fully her struggle between exhaustion, frustration, and lonliness. You've described it so accurately. but fix it - please.... because in fiction you CAN where in life you usually CAN"T.

Hmm. A challenge for my Muse. How to fix a situation that is so intolerable and based on misunderstandings. I'll give it some thought.
So, so upset that this story is most likely abandoned. I was intrigued and touched (Hermione is awesome! Absolutely loyal and faithful to Snape) so it's a let down that there won't be ant update.
Well, this changes everything, doesn't it? Well, doesn't it?

Turned things upsidedown, did I? *grin*

Delky sounds like a cool elf. H&S need to revise their assumptions, big time. :)
Response from Doomspark (Author of Discard)
Glad you're enjoying it. This is turning into something quite different from what was originally intended... and I'm not sure what's going to happen next.
Hmm, no idea where Delky took Severus, but I wonder if they can also cure his physical ailments, or at least alleviate some of them. I suppose I shouldn't be upset at her friends for assuming she will leave Severus, but she shouldn't be so easy to convince. (glares at Hermione) Thank you for updating!!
Response from Doomspark (Author of Discard)
This is turning into a much bigger story than originally intended. And even I don't know where it's going to end up.
Response from June W (Reviewer)
It's going to end up with Severus and Hermione alive and happy ever after together. (looks meaningfully at certain author..... )
Response from Doomspark (Author of Discard)
Hmm... No. Hermione's going to divorce Snape and marry Neville, while Snape falls for the charms of Dolores Umbridge.
Response from June W (Reviewer)
ACK!! *Discard* that thought immediately!!
Amazing how each pov is so very different.
I don't know if this is a good thing or not. If he finds out she was worried about him, that could be a good thing, or he might just think she was worried about Delky, not him. On the other hand, if she is worried about him and then finds he was up to no good, that won't go over well. These two are very counter productive. And just who was Delky taking Snape to see?It certainly isn't a good sign that rather than discuss things, she assumes that he will want to go to St. Mungo's, just as he assumed she would leave him behind, or was out seeing other men. I'd strangle them both, but then there wouldn't be much in the way of characters left for your story. :)
Response from Doomspark (Author of Discard)
While the misunderstanding between them could be cleared up easily enough, both are carrying around a load of resentment which tends to make them assume the worst of each other. That's not something easily mended, as it's built up over several years. I agree with your urge to strangle them; this chapter took FOREVER before they'd cooperate. As for Delky, let's just say that Snape has bit off a bit more than he can chew.
