I'm a dabbler in poetry and fiction, and I simply adore Severus Snape and my favorite ship is SS/HG. I love to read and travel and fanfiction is my escape from the mundane!!

Another very nice story from you. Harry `potter is an arse in this fic and Ron not far behind although he came right in the end. Thanks for sharing.

I have always wondered how that horcrux really affected Harry, this was my small attempt at exploring the idea. Thanks for the review!
Lovely and diferent. Refreshing.

Thank you very much... I am glad you enjoyed!
So glad so see this story up. Wish I had a knight in shining armour like Hermione has! Can just hear Severus' silky voice saying that rescue speech!

Thanks so much for all your encouragement and help! And oh, YES, everytime I read Sev dialogue I can hear that voice too!
Thank goodness Severus was there to protect his wife and children. George Santiago is a good name, but I'll bet Hermione comes up with a nickname for him. I think it's in her blood. LOL!I wonder if Arthur and Molly were aware of what Harry was doing when he went to the Burrow? It's good that Arthur and George were there to help when Harry came. It could all very easily have gone wrong. I don't know if Harry can ever be helped. His anger and need to blame Severus seems to be inexhaustible. Being host to a part of the Dark Lord's soul for so long appears to have damaged him.Now I hope Severus, Hermione and their children can live long and happy lives without always having to look over their shoulders. It's time for joy!Thank you for this story and for Where In the World. It's good to see everything come full circle.Hugs you lots,Beth

Thanks so much for reading as I wrote my way through this little tale. No one knew what Harry was thinking. I'm not sure he knew either! But they knew to be prepared and that is all they could do. I think that no one, even JKR, took into consideration that the piece of the Dark Lord was inside harry for years... there had to be some sort of influence. Now it is time for Severus and Hermione to live happily ever after! Hope you will be looking out for my next attempt at SS/HG. Hugs to you, Beth! Thanks for the friendship!
I'm glad that Hermione forgave Ron. Even though I first thought he didn't deserve it, the more I read the more I realized how much he had changed and grown while in Azkaban. Besides, forgiveness is a gift you give yourself... carrying around all that resentment and hate just seems to eat away at whatever joy may come your way. Good call, Shell.I'm tickled pink that Severus and Hermione have a daughter! She has her daddy's hair and eyes– or maybe it's her daddy's hair and her mother's eyes– either way she's joy to them and that's what's important.I'm off to see how you've concluded this lovely story.Beth

Glad you enjoyed! I can just see Severus with a daughter, she would have him wrapped in her tiny fist faster than he could blink! Ron did some soul searching while in prison. Being out from the shadow of his older brothers and Harry let him see how he was being! Hope you enjoy the end!
Quite the dark descent for Harry. I do hope he gets the help he needs. Lovely to see Severus and Hermione happy and moving forward.

Thanks so much for reading! I have often wondered if that little part of the Dark Lord affected Harry more than anyone ever realized... This is just a touch on that subject.
Aww, how sweet this chapter was. I was glad to see Ron ease up and realize all he'd done. I've got high hopes for a full recovery from him. Harry, of course, is another thing. Perhaps Ron can help in some way. Loved the reunion, especially Ginny's part in it.

Thank you! Ron has finally come out of the shadows and realized that he has to be himself. Harry, well Harry is just stubborn. And after 10+ years, it was time for Hermione and Severus to come in out of the cold - so to speak! One more chapter in the queue! Keep watching for it!
I just read all through your whole double-story -- WOW, very well knitted together and so reduced, yet maintaining a clear plotline AND developing some of your characters. You chose all these characters very well. I'm disappointed of Kingsley, but he was disgusted of himself, too. So easy to believe that a hero would not ever fail. Ron was nearly drowning himself in a hatred that wasn't even his own. Finally he has developed a backbone! I hope we'll see a solution fro him. Sadly, Harry is very much in character too. So stubborb and ready to twist the truth while pretending to be defending justice. I do not believe he can be changes at this stadium. What a fate for Ginny and their children! She was entirely right to initially stick to him and work from within, but then it was too much. I admit that I'm missing Hermione's trademark habits here. She would have studied or developed something, would she not? Now I'm anxiously awaiting the next chapter!

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed everything. You certainly grasped everything that I had envisioned. While my Severus uses his potion's expertise to create flavored brandies, Hermione takes charge of the business side of the orchards - that is the reason the office in the house is hers. I will have the last chapter up as soon as I can!
At least Ron seems to have recovered his senses. But that last makes me think that Harry's still determinedly plotting against Severus. BTW, I think I have an inkling about what might happen when Harry is finally released from Azkaban...
Response from sandlapper (Author of Finding a Way Back)
Ron has figured things out - sitting there alone in his cell. Harry just can't let go OR take responsibility. I can't wait to see if your inkling is right!! Last chapter as soon as I can!! Thanks for reading and reviewing!
Poor Ron. I'm glad he is sincerely remorseful and seemingly on a better path. Severus and Hermione are certainly beginning their christmas in a lovely way!Excellent story!
Response from sandlapper (Author of Finding a Way Back)
I'm so glad you like this! I think Ron's main problem was he so wanted to be out of the shadow of his brothers, that he fell into the shadow of Harry. The enforced seperation in Azkaban led him to realize just what they had done and that he needed to be his own man. And even though he wants to work for George, he will do it on his own. Things are certainly on the rise for S/H. They are moving forward AND regaining some of what they had to give up... one more chapter as soon as possible!
JKR pretty much made the same comparisons between Harry and Tom in her books. I'm glad Ron saw the error of his ways. Hopefully, Harry can be helped. Part III? Anytime soon? ^_^
Response from sandlapper (Author of Finding a Way Back)
I don't usually like Ron, but he decided to be a bit of a sweetheart in this one. I was really focused on Harry and the fact that he gets excused so much...imho. I don't know if I am up for a part III, I am working on a new story right now. I will start posting soon, I hope! Thanks for reading and reviewing!!
Thank you for giving us this wonderful story, it has been a wonderful read. Way to seldom Harry is taken to task for his violent temper and confronted with his own prejudices. That done here, sprinkled with a happy ending for Severus and Hermione and the Weasleys on the rigth side in stead of Harrys, made it all a great story .
Response from sandlapper (Author of Finding a Way Back)
Thank you!! I always thought Harry got away with whatever he could... it was nice to give Hermione and Severus a happy ending! I appreciate you reading and reviewing!
Yup, that's pretty much what I figured would happen, an obsessed Harry tracking down the Snapes, resulting in a scene not unlike when Voldemort came for Harry and his parents. Albeit with a much improved ending. Hopefully the healers at St. Mungo's can help Harry see just how far he's fallen and help him find his way back.
Response from sandlapper (Author of Finding a Way Back)
I always thought there was a lot of parallels between Harry and Tom. And, like Dumbledore said, it was all about choices. Harry didn't always make the best choices. One can only hope that St. Mungo's can help! Thank you so much for reading and reviewing!
