I read and write fanfiction as a means of procrastination - it's usually much more interesting than anything that comes my way from uni.
At OWL I'm mw8, but on Ashwinder or Fanfiction.net and now here I'm Paisley Snail.
Reviews for The P-Word
Glad to see they got there in the end. Too funny to see Melinda getting her nose in still after everything else. But then again, Severus and Hermione can't be too upset with her, as she was the one responsible for getting them together to begin with. Nice little epilogue. Thanks for sharing!
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
Thank you so much for all your reviews - I really appreciate them. Despite her good work, I think Melinda will remain a rather distant acquaintance of the Snapes if Severus and Hermione can keep it that way! :D
Stupid, the pair of them letting each other walk away from this!
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~pats you~ There, there.
Gah! Idiots the pair of them each saying goodbye in their own way and emotionally pulling away from one another when they clearly don't want to. Muppets!
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
I couldn't agree more, actually.
It was bound to be a tumultuous aftermath, but after the night before he got the end of the day right at least.
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~nodsnods~ Definitely - it's not a natural situation at all.
great story and i loved the ending. thanks and mucho smoochies
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
"Now, lying here with him, she could pretend for a night that she wasn’t alone."How sad! This seems to be the case for each of them. Hopefully it won't stay that way after the quarantine is over.
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~nods~ Indeed.
Lovely to see them becoming more comfortable with each other in a steady and believable rythm.
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
I'm glad you found it believable :)
"In fact, the active ingredients in fertility and impotence potions are similar, but combined with different ingredients, the compounds formed produce opposite results."Why do I think this is going to come back to bite him in the arse?
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
Again, well spotted. ;-)
Poor Severus! I don't think he quite knows what to make of the matter at hand. ;)
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
Awww, yeah - he is definitely out of his element!
"It was going to be a hard night."Loved the double-entendre.
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~smirks~ Thank you.
"Hermione Granger was already turning out to be absolutely pants at healing."It is irony that their roles are reversing, isn't it?
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~nods~ I quite enjoyed the balancing act in this fic - between him being uncomfortable and her being uncomfortable and looking after one another.
"Hermione was just glad that he hadn’t popped a blood vessel instead." *snigger* Or something else he could've popped. Poor Severus.
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~giggles~ Poor Severus, indeed! :)
Oh dear. I bet he'll just love that it was Minerva that found him in that state. Sounds quite ominous on the 'carer' front.
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~nods~ I'm glad that you picked up on that, actually. I'm not sure that anyone else really did. But yes, although I can't say I explored it too much, there was definitely a darker side to the virus and the way it was dealt with.
Response from Jinxie (Reviewer)
Well, that can always lead to little side fics if the muse ever gets bored. ;)
Now, lying here with him, she could pretend for a night that she wasn’t alone.Oh, that is sad. But fortunately, I think Severus is as attached to her as she to him. And while she may decide that she really needs to be more professional, or he decide that he doesn't want her to be with him romantically, just out of obligation, they can only push each other so far away while quarantined. I do hope there are no regrets in the morning because what they have going on here is just lovely.
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
Aww, thanks. As you know - it wasn't always smooth sailing, but they got there in the end. :)
Men, penises, and large needles don't mix regardless of the situation. Ever. They are all babies when it comes to this sort of thing.I loved the bedroom conversation at the end. It was really intimate and confortable, like they'd been married for years and this was their nightly ritual before going to sleep.I suppose Hermione's penance for allowing a House-elf to actually do his job should be to provide Scampy with lots of babies to care for :)
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
Thank you so much! I can't say I really blame the men for being a bit squeamish, and ~grins~ that last is not a bad idea at all...
‘How is your penis this morning, Professor?’ A vein began to throb in Severus’ temple. ‘What did I say about that word?’ he hissed. ‘Penis?’ ‘Your obsession with male anatomy aside, I distinctly remember telling you not to call me “Professor”,’ he spat. You make me laugh probably more than necessary at least once each chapter. Will be interested to see if they can regroup following that disastrous exam.
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~beams~ It's wonderful to know that I made someone laugh. Thank you!
Why do I know this is not just a cold ...
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~giggles~ This threw a lot of people off...
‘You could have made yourself sterile. Or, for all you know, it could have turned black and fallen off ... ... ‘And how exactly would it have affected you if any of those things had happened? I knew –’ ‘I would have been the one trying to re-attach it!’Ha! Now she has his attention. These two quarantined are either going to kill each other, or end up having a very good time.
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
;-) As you know by now, I completely agree with your assessment.
What an interesting start. I couldn't possibly add one more story to my overflowing list of WIP's. Now that this is complete, there is nothing holding me back. Onward and upward ...
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
I can totally sympathise with you waiting until the story was completed. :)
This story was great fun to read. Thanks so much for the giggles!!!
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
Thank you for the comment! I'm glad you enjoyed it. :)
This was beautiful, wonderful, perfect. It just can't end when he is given a clean bill of health. Although he will probably assume that she wants to be rid of him, yada, yada, yada, the usual Snape self hatred stuff. I just know Hermione will set him straight. This story is so much fun!
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
~grins~ Of course she will/did set him straight! Glad you enjoyed it. :)
aw! sweety pie! i like the way you made a noticable difference between the sex and the LoveMaking. great chapter as always :D
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it.
The contrast between the lovemaking and the sex was well done. :)
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
I'm glad you thought so - I did really try to bring out that contrast. :)
that was beautiful. Oh if they'd only get it together and realize they BOTH want more. Silly children!I look forward to more!
Response from Paisley Snail (Author of The P-Word)
I'm glad you liked it :)
I loved this. Very droll but very intriguing as well. I laughed, I cried and I was thoroughly entertained.
