Hi all!
Currently, I am off work to take care of my son who is ill. I read, write and draw Harry Potter fanfiction to distract myself.
Thanks for taking a peek at my stories! :) Comments are much appreciated and eventhough I have moved on to a different fandom (for now) I come here often to read your kind words.
Reviews for Snow Day
"You must be quick, my dear. It’s a bit like musical chairs.” Hummmm... musical sex? This sounds like it could turn into a frantic but fun night.
“No—I was called away before... never mind.” Godz, Voldemort could fuck up a mayonaise sandwich.
The Proffessor was in dire need of new wanking material, and here was a young, attractive witch fairly throwing herself into his bed. HIS bed! Granger, on the other hand, had definite potential. To finally silence that mouth with his cock... For once it looks like Severus will be able to call the shots and get a little trim into the bargin.
I love the plot and the very funny way you have written their negotiations. Top marks!Beth

Thank you so much for your wonderful review, Beth! You always point out the most interesting details! :DI really appreciate the 'top marks'!Hugs and Kisses,OJ
That was wonderful - I love the way they bargained while trying not to give too much away, and Severus's wondering if she would still sit with him afterwards. Both Severus thinking it would never snow now and Hermione blurting out her hope it would made me laugh Roll on the snow storm!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
Oh, thank you so much for your perceptive review. I'm glad it made you laugh,
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
!!Yes, now we just need the snow!
Are they going to pin up a copy of the agreement on the headboard so they don't forget anything? :)
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
LOL! You're too funny! :DThanks for reading and reviewing sunny!
this is really fun - let it snow! let it snow!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)

Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
I'm glad you really like this
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
! I'll try to post the next chapter soon! :D(((hugs))))
Loving this story ! I think that having H&S planning out their 'encounter' on paper is both hilarious and totally in-character. I can definitely see H bargaining with oral sex in exchange for library access, and S preferring no Gryffindor-colored knickers. Looking forward to the next chapter!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
*grins* I'm thrilled that you find Snape and Hermione in character! Thanks so much for your kind words!xoOJ
That was a lot of fun actually, I can see them getting all hot and bothered writing up a contract for sex. Hee.
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
Yes, you're right, things were getting a bit tense in there!I'm glad this was a fun read for you. Thanks for commenting! :D
I love it. Two control freaks come together to plan out, in the tiniest detail, how they're going to go at it like wild things IF it snows soon. Blue undies. Trimmed fingernails. Woo hoo! I can hardly wait until it starts snowing!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
LOL! Yes, some of the details were a bit too controlled, but at least they asked for what they liked! ;DI'm very happy that you're enjoying this fic, gardengirl!
Oh, this was great! With all of Severus' "conditions", it was like reading a sexual version of the protocols of the Geneva Convention! And that line of Hermione casually brought up the topic of positioning, and Snape immediately made clear that he was not an acrobat in the circus and would not be expected to perform as one just had me rolling! I'm not sure what I want to have happen more--for it to snow and the two of them to experience the Charm, or for it not to snow and they decide to "honor the terms of the agreement" anyway! Either one will be great to read, I'm sure.Looking forward to the next chapter, snow or no snow!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
LOL! I must admit to finding that line amusing as well! *giggles at Snape the circus acrobat*Will the charm be triggered or not? Yeah, I explored the two options you listed with my betas... and, well, that's all I can say! ;DThank you so much for your wonderful review,
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
. It is much appreciated!
As long as it doesn't snow again here, then you've written a wonderful chapter. I loved the bargaining and the fact that she was going to be thinking about it while her students were calculating. ^_^
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
LOL! As long as it doesn't snow again here...Wish there was something I could do about that!I'm so glad that you enjoyed this
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
!Thank you for reviewing! :D
'God, what does Snape's face look like when he comes?'This is a question we have been pondering and trying to describe for years! And I spat my fizzy wine out and nearly chocked... lol!'They would take care of their own undressing, and there would be no cuddling post-coitus.'Oh holy mother... this line damn near killed me... No Cuddling. That's Severus for you, bless his cotton socks!'Snape admitted to being extremely ticklish at the waist area and insisted that she not touch him there..'lol... shouldn't have said that! hehehe... oh, please, make her do that!'He felt her heartbeat in his palm. Or was it his?'My heart literally flipped at this... way to go, making me laugh and go all warm and fuzzy at the same time.I hope you don't mind but I'm going to Recommend your story on my LJ page, because I haven't read anything so bloody funny and so... well, brilliant, in so long.MORE! Right now!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
I'm so touched by your review Neelix. Thank you so much for your kind words! :DSorry about the fizzy wine mess and the chocking! ;DYou're so right about the tickling... wouldn't you just want to test it out? "God, what does Snape's face look like when he's being tickled?" *grins*I would be flattered if you rec'd this on your LJ. *blush*Thanks again, OJ
Yeah, right, Severus. You keep on telling yourself that. They are marvelous together. I can just imagine how those conditions served like the foreplay he insisted they omit. Now, they will think about it for two days, heat up infinitely and jump each other snow storm or not. I can't wait. For the show storm, and deviously for the hour that precede the post-snow-storm night. They will suffer waiting. *grins*
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
*grins* You're so perceptive Nata! Yes, there is two days between their agreement and the potential snow storm! They will have to wait... a bit! ;DThnak you so much for your support, my dear!xoOJ
Wonderful start and what a great original bit of magic. A snow day charm. Wish we had one of those here. *grumbles a bit*. We've certainly had enough snow to activate it several times already! ;)
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
LOL! We've certainly had enough snow to activate it several times already! ;)Wouldn't it be nice? :DI'm thrilled that you found the magic creative! That makes me so happy. *smiles*Thanks for your lovely review,
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
!
Oh, great chapter, loved the negotiations. Hope that storm front gets a move on.
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
I'm so glad the negotiations worked for you
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
!(Very pretty username btw)Yes, the storm is slowly approaching! Thanks for taking the time to leave a review! :D
How funny.....Hermione making a list. That is so her.....now all I have to say is let it snow! let it snow! let it snow!God I hope it snows as well.
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
*Grins* 'Let it snow' indeed!I'm glad you found this funny kimbee! Thanks for reading and reviewing! :D
"God, I hope it snows!" Right there with you, Miss Granger! The listing of conditions on a chart is sooooo Hermione. Now, will they be propositioned by others prior to meteorological events? Will others become aware of their building anticipation? As for post coital cuddling...Snape really needs a cuddle.
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
Snow is still forecasted for the Highlands! :DI'm thrilled that you found Hermione to be in character. And, yes, Snape needs a cuddle, doesn't he? ;DThanks for reviewing!
Leave it to the know-it-all and the control freak to create a list of conditions for their potential snow night encounter. Both left the negotiations with great anticipation, even if Snape didn't show it. If this storm doesn't happen as expected, I wouldn't put it past him to fly into the clouds himself and seeded them. He is in dire need of release!I love the thoroughness of the conditions (blue knickers?) and the rising tension. I'm praying for snow in the Highlands!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
Thanks again for another insightful review
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
!Snow is still on the forecast! ;D((hugs))OJ
Whoohoo, I hope it snows too! I hope afterwards Severus will want to cuddle...Poor man!! he needs a good cuddle!! I love it, well done..Looking forward to another chapter.
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
Thank you for your enthusiastic review
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
! I'm so happy that you liked this chapter. :DAnd I agree, Snape does need a cuddle!
Oh, oh, oh! I bet if it doesn't snow they will get together anyway. Perhaps they will dance around the issue for a month or two, then realize that they really do find each other attractive and copulate because they care about each other, not because of a snow storm. Then the snowstorm will descend upon the castle, and their genuine affection for each other will make it an even more satisfying experience.Sorry for rambling.I am really enjoying this story.
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
Your review made me laugh! Your 'Oh, oh, oh!' reminded me of Hermione. *g*You know, those are all plot options I discussed with Lulabelle72 and Lariope... and that's all I can tell you! ;D I'm so thrilled that you're enjoying this story and I didn't find you were rambling at all! :D
Response from ClayPotter (Reviewer)
Do you live in the mid-Atlantic region of the US? I do, and although we got hit with the white stuff enough for the kids to miss a couple of days of school, DC and north of there were paralyzed for at least a week! If you live in this region of the US, I thought it might have sparked your story idea.
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
I live in Canada! Does that answer your question? *grins*Oh, wow, yeah, I heard about the massive amounts of snow you folks have received. It could've triggered the charm twice! ;DSeriously, we usually get tons of snow here too, but it's very rare that we get 'snow days' (or else school would be closed 2-3x/week.) I used to be a teacher, and I swear the staff got more excited about a potential 'snow day' than the students! ;D
let it snow! let it snow!! let it snow!!!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
LOL! Yes, 'Let it snow', indeed! *winks*
Wow, gotta love those conditions. I have a feeling thou with these two that sometime during the night those conditions will fly out the door. Can't wait for the next chapter.
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
Thanks for your review
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
! I'm happy to know those 'conditions' worked for you! ;D(You might be right about the second part of your comment! *grins*)
lol, would love to have been a fly on the wall for that conversation. Bring on the snow!!!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
*grins* Yes, now we just need the snow! Thanks for reviewing
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
! :D
ZOMG I have added you as a favorite. You cannot escape now!!! I made a list of things I adore about this chapter. Brace yourself. 1. “She also said that I was the perfect addition to the staff to average out the surliness level.” And take that Snape! Zing! Hermione wins2. Minerva's discomfort with having to explain charmed sex and then calling the pairing up "musical chairs" you had me in stiches! 3. Hermione's perky efforts. That is such a great adjective for her. 4. Oh yes I can see exactly how Hermione triggered the not-so-dormant slytherin neurons. Mawhahahah!
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
Awww, thanks for the fave. You're a favorite of mine too! :DI love when you make your lists because you're always so perceptive of the little details and you always have good insight into the story. I can't tell you how thrilled I am that you liked this
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
! I already knew how much you liked 'real' snow days, but it's nice to know you like the magical ones as well!(((hugs you)))Sandie
LMAO! This is too funny. Now of course Severus would have conditions... I can only imagine what his warped mind will design. Can't wait for the next chapter!Livvy
Response from OpalJade (Author of Snow Day)
Thank you SO much for reading and reviewing Livvy!I'm thrilled that you found this funny! *big grin*Next chapter should post real soon. :D
