"Ah, music. A magic beyond all we do here!" Hermione had long forgotten the fateful words Dumbledore had uttered at the end of her first Welcoming Feast when they proved true beyond the shadow of a doubt.

That was another wonderful chapter, though I must admit I am growing impatient to see more of Severus :)
Response from karelia (Author of Harmonic Resolution)
Thank you! We will see a lot more of Severus in the near future. :D
Another great update, I really like this story. I look forward to when Hermione find Severus, not to mention who connects the dots first, Hermione or Narcissa/Lucius for who they are looking for to save Severus. Brilliant plot!
Response from karelia (Author of Harmonic Resolution)
Thank you very much! There will be lots of dot-connecting soon, I'd expect. :)
I was definitely not expecting Gilderoy Lockhart to be the next beneficiary of the Music, much less for it to transform him from the vain peacock of old into a man ready to become a force for good in the world. If Hermione and the Music can bring about miracles such as that, I can only imagine what she can do for Severus. Oh, I do hope she finds him soon!
Response from karelia (Author of Harmonic Resolution)
Thank you!Oh, yes, she'll find him... eventually. :P
I am really enjoying this story so far, cannot wait to read more :) I love the way Narcissa is willing to befriend Hermione, and the dynamics in the relationship between Narcissa and Lucius :) I never expected to see Lockheart cured, I wonder if he will play a role in the future of the story? hehe Anxiously awaiting more :)
Response from karelia (Author of Harmonic Resolution)
Thank you! Yes, Lockhart will play a role. *grins*

Go for it, Herms! :)
Response from karelia (Author of Harmonic Resolution)
*grins*Oh, she will...
Well, you didn't change my mind about the nature of the relationship (actually quite the opposite), but I'm glad I read this.
You have such a lovely flow to your writing that comes out here in much more of its full beauty than in the shorter works I've read.
I'm not sure I understand why she was quite so depleted. I wasn't expecting it based on the previous experiences. However, it was nice to see everyone running around to help her and take care of her.
The relationship between the hag and the giant should not have been as unexpected as it was. It provided an additional sweetness to the story.
She seems to be poised to re-enter the world and to take her biggest test to date. Now for the final push to see whether she's learned what she needs to learn.
Aren't you the tease, with Narcissa nearly spilling the beans but not quite! Hermione doesn't quite fully believe in what she's doing yet, or something tells me the giant would have summoned her to Severus's bedside by now. Her reaction to the newspaper shows that, too. She's getting much closer, though.
The addition of the piano is pretty momentus. Her skill should develop considerably after this. I love how she isn't sure to trust her ability but then throws in and trusts to instinct.
Aw, that's so sweet between Hermione and Narcissa. I think they would naturally become friends under the right circumstances, too. It all seems to happen a bit quickly, but describing how they got past the prickliness would take up time that's better spent on the music and the cooking.
Now she's starting to realize more of the strength of her gift. I really enjoy the flow of the language. Everything fits together so well. It's a pleasure.
Hermione is being brought closer to the purpose of her musical gift, it appears. I do like the Lucius/Narcissa interactions here, and even the way that getting a female opinion transcends Mudblood/Pure-blood politics.
We really settle into the story in this chapter. Your writing softens to be as delicate and lyrical as the music itself. Narcissa's concern for Severus is just as lyrical. I can tell that the Malfoy sections of the story may well be some of my favorites.
Somehow I think that clock will be important. I love the way the music is mixed into this, as well as the Shakespeare.
Interesting quandry Hermione finds herself in, and one many students have at the end of their education. I already love Lucius and Narcissa.

OMG! You're reading an SSHG fic! <3 <3 <3
Very nicely done. I look forward to more of this. :) Quite original and lyrical

Ah, cool that Lockhart does something useful and is painted in a better light now. :) WB, Hermione.

Yes. I figured everyone should be given a chance to change for the better. ;)

Response from karelia (Author of Harmonic Resolution)
*snickers* Yes, everyone! :D
The music in my head at this point says "dun, dun, dun, dun"
Response from karelia (Author of Harmonic Resolution)
Oh? That isn't what I tried to get across, but if you like it that way...
I'm anxious for Hermione to find out where Snape is at this point. :)
Response from karelia (Author of Harmonic Resolution)
:) Did you think I'd let him die? LOL
I'm way behind! Catching up now. This was a good chapter. Poor ol' Lockhart. :)
Response from karelia (Author of Harmonic Resolution)
Thank you! :D
As if any appearance of that tragically underrepresented Slytherin beauty ever could be inconvenient.Naww, Cissy, fear not! And tell dear Lucius, he might not be able to act unselfishly, or come to think of it, at all had he turned down Voldemort's 'invitation' to the graveyard. What else? Oh yes - I'm completely captivated and on tenterhooks again.

You are fast becoming my favourite reviewer! I just love your take on the Malfoys, always so very spot on. :D
