Epilogue
Chapter 6 of 6
blue artemisA small snippet of happiness.
ReviewedThe wedding was beautiful. No one was surprised when Severus asked Remus Lupin to stand with him, as they had become sort of friends over the years since Remus was the DADA professor.
They were a bit more surprised when Hermione asked Harry to stand with her, but as she explained, he was her best friend, her brother, and he had never once doubted her. Even when he was angry over the Firebolt, he hadn’t doubted that she meant well.
Severus and Hermione pledged their lives to each other, mind, heart, soul, body and magic. And when the Minister wound the binding cords around their wrists, the light was blinding.
They had two children. Their son, Sebastian, was a Ravenclaw. Their daughter, Selene, was a Slytherin.
And when they were asked, many years later, what had called them to each other, they always responded the same way. “It was an essay. About werewolves. And through it, we learned each other’s heart.”

It's so cute of him to comfort her. *smile*
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Very sweet. I know everyone who noticed really saw how much he thought of her. Thank you!
That girl has ever been very clever. And not one to mess up with.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Not at all, and it certainly has made Severus pay attention. Thanks for reviewing!
While cleaning up my mail box I discovered that I forget to read this. And as ever I do something like that (not the first time unfortunately) I deeply regret my lack of organisation.Thank you for being such a wonderful writter.

Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Thank you!
And that's why essay-writing skills are extremely important! You never know what doors they will open for you... Thanks for not only giving Hermione and Severus their happy ending, but also for keeping other important people alive like Remus and Sirius! Very satisfying indeed.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Thanks for sticking with me!
I've killed a snake or two with a garden hoe myself! But they were very little snakes compared to Nagini... I can just see it now, a giant statue of Neville Longbottom standing tall and defiant over the decapitated form of Nagini, a garden hoe in his hand like a spear! Can't wait to see how things go in the aftermath for Severus and Hermione.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Thanks for the review. I've always thought Neville could be heroic even without the Sword of Gryffindor.
Awww. that's so sweet. I've enjoyed this story. Thank you for sharing.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Thank you!
Neville killed Nagini with a garden hoe! Loved that!I also appreciated some of the Slytherins staying to fight and not slythering away like cowards.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Yes, I can't believe ALL the Slytherins would be cowards. And doesn't Neville have a hoe more often than a sword? Thanks for the reviews!
I'm confused by this sentance - "Dumbledore wanted potions to help keep the Death Eaters on their guard while fighting, some for strength, some for mental acuity." Don't you mean the Order members? I mean why brew strenght and mental acutiy potins for the enemy? WOuldn't the Order members be using the potions? And I love the fact Severus was comforting Hermione at the funeral and that Dumbeldore died from his cursed hand - not from being killed.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
I meant that the Death Eaters would be on their guard because the potions were for the Order. I guess the sentence was a bit confusing. Yes, I am writing my wishes with this story.
Glad she heard him. He'd have probably never told her otherwise.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Probably not. But since she did... Thanks for the review!
What a concept... having Dumbles die from complications of the curse. A much better outcome, especially with Hermione letting herself grieve in Severus' arms. I don't quite get the last line, though. Does that mean he's going to start a relationship with her, or is he comparing his relationship with her to a past time? Sorry, I hope I didn't miss something blatantly obvious. it's late and I'm tired. I did enjoy this better version of book six.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
He's been trying to stay professional because she was too young. She is now 17, so in his mind, they can start a friendship with a possibility for more. She is still a student, but he doesn't have to study her from afar. (I said a whole lot with one little ambiguous line, didn't I?)Thanks for the review!
I like this ending to book 6 better.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Me too! Thanks for the review!
was that the end?
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
No. Chapter 5 and an Epilogue are in queue. Thanks for asking!
This is SWEET. Thank you for letting the curse kill Dumbledore.Fizzabella
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Thank you! I'm glad you like it!
LOL:0 I can picture Hufflepuffs scurrying off like the Hedgehogs in "Alice in Wonderland"! What a wonderful image your words have conjured up:)Not that I have anything against Hufflepuffs or anything:) I'm sure they're lovely people, but your words made me giggle:)Warm regards,Fizzabella
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Thanks, Bella! I think Hufflepuffs are lovely people, also, but really, the images are funny.
I'm so glad that in this version of things, Severus never had to give the appearance of betraying everyone by killing Dumbledore. With the Order all working together as one, I'm sure that victory will be assured in any event.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
No, I wanted Severus to be able to be his own man, and killing Dumbledore would totally ruin that. Thank you for your review!
I like the story; however, shouldn't it be that Dumbledore wanted the Order to be on the guard and not the Death Eaters? Why would he want potions for mental acquity for the Death Eaters? Maybe I read the sentence wrong?? Otherwise great story!
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
I re-read that sentence and I see how you could take it. The brewing was entirely for the Order, to keep the Death Eaters on their toes by improving the acuity, strength and wily-ness of the Order. Thanks for the review!
Ah, what a different picture you paint. I like your picture. It's beautiful. Too bad JKR didn't see it that way.
Response from blue artemis (Author of Professor Lupin is a What?)
Thank you! This is definitely my wishful thinking story.
huumm different as it didn't have much interaction with Severus and Hermione, but I'm looking forward to more.
