I am a 20-something-year-old who admits to not knowing or having everything figured out, beta, foodie, bibliophile, and dabble in art. Most days I may be found in the kitchen indulging in the culinary arts.
I adore a multitude of pairings in the fandom, though I am partial to: SS/HG, DM/HP, NT/HG, PP/MB, SS/HG/LM, Snupin, and LL/HG.

O_o a nice twist to the canon account. I wanted to smack Bella for her outburst, but then she was so jealous of Severus, wasn't she? I liked how even 'dying' Severus denied him the 'joy' of watching him die, of keeping quiet with his dignity intact and denying Voldie his pleasure of hearign pleading/screams/fear in his victim. Nicely protrayed.

Thanks, dear. I always imagined Bella and some of the other Death Eaters would be very jealous of Severus being Voldemort's right hand man, but she just fit the part the best, as she would have done nearly anything to have a little of the Dark Lord's attention, if not power. In my mind, I do not see Severus begging for his life, asking for another chance. He knew what was coming, and thus would not give Voldemort any more joy out of his death than what he already would have. Severus deserved to 'die' with the only thing he had left: his dignity.

I agree.
Great update, I like this kind of timeturner fics, those who sets out to fix what is wrong in the past, like Hermione marrying Ron...:-) I really like your Albus Severus.
Response from luvsev (Author of Amending Time)
Thanks! Hermione marrying Ron may not be the worst thing, but it certainly would not be the best thing for her to do with the kind of potential she has. In my opinion, she needs someone like Severus who can support her in her intellectual pursuits and understand why. In this, Albus Severus shares some of my personality characteristics, but I like to think he is sort of like his father and Severus, too.
Another intriguing chapter! Good work!

Aww, thanks!
I 'll admit to a fondness for time-turner fics....Yours is very different to any I have read so far - In a delightful way. I'm enjoying your story and look forward to future updates!

I'm very pleased you're enjoying my twist on the classic Time-Turner story. :)
That will have a big impact on the future, hopefully for the positive! :)
Response from luvsev (Author of Amending Time)
I'm sure it will be positive. :)
A good story so far, and I look forward to more...

Thanks!
That is a lovely thing he did for Hermione.

It was. Now let's hope she listens to him.
Wow, it took a trip back in time to set Hermione straight! I love Albus severus!

Something had to happen in order to keep her away from Ron. He's not a bad guy; he's just not suited for her, and Albus knows that. I'm glad you love Albus Severus - right now, he's my favourite character. There's not much about Albus in canon, so I feel free to infuse a little of my own personality into him.
I was beginning to despair of a third chapter ever appearing, and now here it is! It sounds to me as though Albus isn't entirely sure that what he plans will succeed. I am also interested to find out how he will keep those memories he just showed Hermione secure if he successfully changes the timeline and those events then never happen. How will he know to use the Time-Turner once things change and he no longer knows that he changed them to begin with? Leaving notes for yourself to find in the future can be a tricky business...Looking forward to more, more, more!

Never fear, I wouldn't just abandon a story, especially one as much fun to write as this. Albus Severus is sure of himself; he's a great researcher and has to make sure others go along with what he thinks is best - remind you of anyone?
i just adore tt stories and this starts off excellently! thanks muchly

Aww, thanks!
That last bit was very good advice.

Yup, it was.
Crazy Bella always ruins everything. I like the subtle changes you made to his death scene. It still accomplishes the goal of his death, without the pleas and what I saw as weakness and loss of dignity his final moments in JKR's book.
Response from luvsev (Author of Amending Time)
Yes, she does. Good thing she ultimately gets taken out by Molly. Severus played such a strong, noble role in his everyday life, spying for both Light and Dark and never really having what he needed. It's hard to imagine him pleading with Voldemort, Harry, whoever, to give him anything; he knew his fate and probably looked forward to the day when he could finally be free. He would have wanted to die with dignity, which JKR did not give him.
My favorite stories are ones that point out how wrong Dumbledore is. DD was not the great man doing great things for the greater good like he is so often described; he was a military general who sacrificed individuals for what he felt was the larger group. Unfortunately, he sacrificed people like Severus, who didn't need to be. I look forward to seeing the development of this story!
Response from luvsev (Author of Amending Time)
I see dumbledore as someone who wanted things just so, and when people like Severus couldn't give him what he wanted, he cast them aside, which is sad. Severus and Harry, among others, were just pawns in his war with Riddle. Thanks for reading; there will be more along soon.
I'm still intrigued by this story and its refreshing twist on Canon. Very well done. It's hard to imagine any young female other than Hermione who would a) be willing to save the hated Headmaster and b) know he needed saving. I suppose Luna could be lurking around but my money's on Granger here. I can't wait to read the next update!
Response from luvsev (Author of Amending Time)
Well, thank you! The next chapter will reveal who went to save Severus.
I love it. I can't wait to read what happens next.
