I adore the world of HP.
Thanks for stopping by. I'm off to stir my cauldron.
Reviews for Dark Desecration
I feel I have to say something about this story, but I don't know how to put it. So I will just say that it made me sit up and take notice of something that happens every day - and always in the dark. Thank you for having the strength to write this story. I feel dirty and elated at having read it, so I can only imagine what it must have taken to put it to paper. LOL Kathryn

Thanks for the comments. I appreciate them. It was hard to form the words the right way indeed.
*shiver* poor Hermione and her traitorious body... the HORROR! anyway... on to the next one!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Thanks. :)
I have finally gotten around to reading the last chapter. I am glad Hermione was set 'free' in a sense. It is difficult to feel sorry (or anything) for Snape in this story. I am sure it was hard to write. OK, now I must go read some fluff.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
It was hard to write and really sent me off on a "mood" after. Dwelling on things, I guess. But Snape has really harmed her for a long time. Hopefully she'll tell harry the truth sooner or later.
Absolutly a wonderful illustration of the fact that rape is never about sex. I hope Hermione gets hers. I hope she hexes his bollocks into his rectum, and then uses a permanent sticking charm... but I digress. The chapter before was disturbing, but this one explains why she can't tell anyone. What would Minverva do... spit on him? Big threat. I'm sure our little know-it-all will come out on top. Bruised and battered but hopefully not broken. Great job, dearie! This is a hard tale to tell, but you've done it really well. GG
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
lol... Good hex planning (writes down in spell book!) She'll definitely get out of this. Thank you very much.
It's all about control. I wonder whether Hermione can turn the tables on him and wrest the control away from him? Brilliant writing as always.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
That's a good thought. I might have to do that one day (write a little something along those lines).
This is the first bad-Snape story I have read post HBP. What a horrible thing to do to her! It's very well written though.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Thank you.
This chapter helped explain alot of the first and as I said before m'lady not your usual style but still brillant. I look forward to more of your talents.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
I do appreciate that. :) HOpe the next chapter is easier for you.
I will probably be crucified for saying so, but this is one of the most erotic pieces of writing I have ever had the pleasure to read. I would love to know Snape's motivation as well.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Someone sent an email to me and said the same thing. She didn't want to post that publicly. There is always something sort of "erotic" about stuff that's forbidden or "wrong" in my opinion. Thank you. I'll have Snape's up in a few minutes.
Well, I can't say I liked it, but it was captivating, and very well written. I am interested in reading Snape's POV on this.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
I'll upload the next one in a few minutes. I hope his Pov explains everything.
Great story, dark and compelling. I like that this chapter asks more questions than it answers, it compliments Hermione's questions as to how and why he can do this. Am really looking forwards to the next chapter.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Thank you so much. I hope the next chapters answer everything. :P
I would like Snape's POV - I'm quite confused as to what situation they're in. Is Hermione still a student? Or... It doesn't really make sense in that regard.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
The next chapter will have those answers. Hermione is no longer a student and is living in the same "home" as Snape. After you read the next chapter, it'll be a little clearer. Thanks for reading.
Not your normal style but still very well written and I admit I am curious as to why he is doing it.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
thanks, doll. more up soon. he has some explaining to do!
not pleasant but well written. And I think I need Severus' point of view to understand what's going on.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
It's purposely confusing (no background info), but I promise to clear things up with Snape's pov. Thanks.
Wow Southern_Witch! Great story...it left me wondering what was going to happen next...I'd love to see the story from Snape's point of view...I have always believed Snape has a dark side, what with his fascination with the Dark Arts and being a Death Eater.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Thanks. I'll have something up soon. I appreciate the review. I, too, believe he's capable of some dark things.
I also think it takes a lot of courage to tell us about that. I would never have that courage.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Lots of courage, but now that it's written, I feel better.
When I was a child, I had a similar thing happen to me. It was and still is the worst memory of my life. Luckely, I was able to get help and didn't suffer alone. I know how horrible it can feel.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
I'm glad you were able to get help. It really sux to experience something like this, and what makes it worse is that it stays with you for a long time after.
Betrayal upon betrayal, how totally cold. I found Poppy's reaction such a shock. I still think Hermione is very strong inside however many self doubts she may be having. I hope she turns the tables of control on him. Brilliantly written characterisations and gripping story line.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Hermione is still very strong. It's been nearly two years at this point, so she is wearing down a bit. Poppy is based on my aunt. GRRR... How horrible, huh?
I'm glad you'll free Hermione from her ordeal although I wonder how you'll do it : will she stay with Snape finally accepting her situation or will she be rid of him ? How will the three women react to Snape's betrayal, when they find out they have been unknowingly working to help Voldemort ? I love this story however sordid it is. Can't say I feel indifference.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
She'll be rid of him--physically. I have some plans for the reactions when they find out what he's really been up to. Thank you for reading. I'll have the conclusion up soon!
Well written again not my favorite subject but you do a wonderful job showing us a deeper side of everyone involved.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Thanks! One chapter left after this one, and Hermione will finally have some "peace" in her life.
Wow - this was a compelling chapter. How terribly sad that Hermione has no support in her awful situation, and that Poppy's comments would make her second guess whether it is her fault or not. Unfortunately, it is a all-too-common occurrence in real-life as well, that all too many of us have encountered in one way, or another.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
It's very sad that Poppy is now making her wonder and suspicious of her own actions. I think it's sad how some things are brushed over as unimportant or excused. Thank you.
Thank You for writing this story. I lived Hermione's life when I was young. I pretended to be asleep just to avoid the humiliation. I have never told anyone about my night visits and reading this forced me to face those memories in ways I probably should have a long time ago. I also want to tell you that I have read several of your stories and have enjoyed them all very much. I may not review each one but I thought you should know.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Well, I'm glad this has "helped" you in some way. I've been there as well. Horrible experiences. Thank you for the comments. I appreciate it. ~hugs~
That was a difficult read, I almost wish that Harry had continued to read. I wonder how a post war Harry, Hermione's partner would have dealt with the truth. I'd like to think I would have fought back, but no one really knows, and maybe it takes more strngth just to lie there. Did Poppy have some version of stolkholme syndrome (in love with one's captor) or just a thing for death eaters? Keep writing.Janet
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Poppy didn't have a thing for Death Eaters or a version of Stolkholme. She was attacked herself and was dealing with it in her own way. I'd like to think she was a bitter woman who was more worried about having their "safe" home removed than what it was costing Hermione. Some people deal with things differently. While you might have done something, someone else might lie there and pretend that it's not happening, which is the case here. Either way, the pain and inner turmoil is the same, I would think--from my experience anyway.I'm glad Harry didn't keep reading personally. It's Hermione's business, and she'll explain it to him when she's ready. It wouldn't pay for him to open a can of worms that she's still having difficulty dealing with.I hope that explains all of your questions and redeems it somewhat. I've the feeling you didn't really like it, not that it's a likable story (you know what I mean). Such a low rating makes me think I've not explained things well enough, but I feel that I have explained it as much as I set out to. I don't mind that someone interprets it in her own way.
Response from bluebell_flames (Reviewer)
I'm a bad fanfic reader, I probably only leave a review on one in ten stories I read. I should at least start rating more often. It was a good piece of writing, but it wasn't for me. I try to rate stories within reason, because rating every story 100 throws off everything. I've had fits of uncontrollable laughter over some of your other stories. Give me a couple of days and I'll re-read and rate. Thanks for taking the time to respond, it did clear up my questions.
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
No, that's all right. If you think it was fair, that's fine by me. Usually, when something's low, it has bad grammar or something, but that's how I rate. I understand completely. :) Cheers.
While this isn't a happy story by any means, it's well-written and (IMHO) realistic. Good job, SW!
Response from Southern_Witch_69 (Author of Dark Desecration)
Thanks, doom. I appreciate it. Speaking of writing, have you stopped for a while and are planning to come back? I've not seen you in so long.
This was lovely, Southern. I'm not much of a darkfic type but I really liked how slow and sad it was, and the first person perspective was done really well. I also understand where it stems from, having had a very similar experience from the one you mentioned, and I've never talked to anyone about it. Reading this healed it somewhat. Well done.
