I'm a twenty-something lurker of unbelievable proportions. Slytherin is my house; I don't have time for stupidity, ignorance, laziness or unimaginative people.
I enjoy all things Harry Potter, and though Hermione is my favourite character to read and write about, I refuse to read anything with Ron/Hermione as the main pairing. The thought of them together makes me weep.
That said, I hope you enjoy my stories. They won't bite. Much. Okay, maybe a little...

Go, Hermione! Don't let him get to you!

She's definitely got confidence to put him in his place :D
Severus is such an expressive man. *snort*

I know -_-. That should change :D Thanks for reviewing!
Now, did she do that on purpose, do you think?
Contraception? She's taking a contraceptive? Hummmm... let me think. Could this have anything to do with when she didn't come around for a whole month? And she had dark circles under her eyes? I keep reminding myself that a woman does not have to be having sex with someone to be taking a contraceptive. Dear Gussie! please let Severus not go off the deep end until he actually KNOWS what's going on with Hermione.
Congrats on another wonderful chapter! I love it.

Love this series, and I enjoy coming across more parts. Keep up the good work!
Well that's unexpected! But I expect you have a good explanation for us - sometime. Does it have to do with why she looked so awful some episodes back?
He's going to completely misread that whole thing. Hee.
I'm a bit confused here. What does birth control pills has to do with the story? I suppose I'll discover soon.
Oh, good Lord! I hope Hermione doesn't stay gone. I can only imagine her disappointment in finding Lily's picture under his pillow. She would probably suspect that he would have hid it there himself and that he had not told her how much he had improved. But she would have no way to know that the reason he had not told her is because he did not want her to stop coming to see him. So, of course, she would have to go take care of something important so he wouldn't see her cry.
Congratulations! I'm happy for you that you've got an offer to study at university! I hope you also get an offer from your first choice school! I went back to university as a mature student, and I know how time consuming this can be.
Being the selfish person that I am, I hope that you will also have the time to post a new chapter every so often because this lovely and loving story has its hooks in my heart and won't let go. It is really beautifully written.

I loved the sly smile the flitted across his face when he told her he's used Magic.
It seems that trying out his newly returning strengths was worth the risk of falling out of bed! I hope he continues to improve!!!

Who could our Miss Granger have been arguing with outside Severus' hospital room? A Healer who thought she was wasting her time, his time, and Snape's time?
I'm glad that she was able to smile at Severus when he inquired, “Male war groupie, Miss Granger?”
What do you have in store for our couple next? This drabble series has really captured my attention and my heart!
Beth
YES!!! Tingling, burning, and he is aware of the first feeling he's had in his hands in SEVEN months!
She had given him a smile as brilliant as the sun, and most important of all, she has given him HOPE which has filled him to the core!
YES!!!
Beth
Researching and brewing a potion to help him... so that's what she had been up to for that month! I'm glad he couldn't bare to disappoint her and agreed to take the potion, "a teaspoon, three times a day for the next few months… Please?”
I hope it works!
Beth
A month! OMG, she stayed away a month. Severus must have been beside himself. She had obviously been hard at work or something similar... she looked like she's had no rest... dark circles under her eyes. “It took me long, painful hours to achieve ‘awful’, I’ll have you know.”
But she's back, and it is all he can do not to smile. I'm glad she told him it was “good to see you again, too, sir.”
LOL! And then he smiled. How sweet is that!
Beth
Giving Severus a couple of weeks to realize how much he missed her visits was a good move on Hermione's part. He thought he would be satisfied that he had, perhaps, scare her away, but he is finding that he misses her too much to feel any satisfaction... at all.
I hope she returns soon.

Severus is starting to give into an acceptance of his life as it is, giving up. But determination is what Hermione does best, and she will not allow him to feel sorry for himself for too long before she begins doing whatever it takes to make him react.
Good for her!

It would be so hard to watch someone you cared about struggling to overcome a handicap. To see the tears on his lashes, and to know there were tears on her own, she determined to do what ever she can to help him. Where will this take our intrepid couple? I hope he will be all right at some time in the future.
Beth
Awwww, he was so disappointed that she didn't come to see him the previous week... and she must not have sent a message that she would not be there... and I think he began to doubt the easy camaraderie they had built. Why else would he have told her she didn't have to come back?
But she said just the right thing: “It is a pleasure, sir, not an obligation.” And he blushed. Sweet!
Beth
This made me laugh out loud! I loved that she made him a Slytherin (green) birthday cake. LOL! I love that she didn't give him a chance to "not eat" his cake... and of course he would scowl while he enjoyed its sugary goodness.
"Happy Birthday, sir!"
Beth
Now the teasing and friendly banter is very much evident, and this is a very good thing. I think it means that they aren't as lonely as they were before, and that he is beginning to believe that she truly is interested in being with him... not out of some obligation she might feel, but because she really just wants to be. with. him.
Nicely done!
Beth
This was so poignant, but I think is was a step forward for her to admit that she was lonely, too, and to tell him that they could be lonely together... than perhaps they will begin to feel not so alone. Well done!
