I'm a twenty-something lurker of unbelievable proportions. Slytherin is my house; I don't have time for stupidity, ignorance, laziness or unimaginative people.
I enjoy all things Harry Potter, and though Hermione is my favourite character to read and write about, I refuse to read anything with Ron/Hermione as the main pairing. The thought of them together makes me weep.
That said, I hope you enjoy my stories. They won't bite. Much. Okay, maybe a little...

Things are moving a long very nicely.
It's like a gift to discover another chapter to this wonderful fic. Thank you,
A kiss! OMG frogs are going to fall from the sky!
Awww how sad. He wants to go out, you can tell. I hope he gets better soon. Its sad to see him layed up like this for soooo long.
A year is a very long time. I hope Hermione can summon the courage to cuddle and soothe him, and perhaps, convince him that a few minutes is a quiet, secluded garden would be just the right thing.

Aww, poor guy. :)
LOL. He's a bad loser. :)

Oh my - I would want that too, I think... *sighs* ;o)
He'd probably like it if she climbed in bed with him, after his shock.
*Sniff* Is it because he can't move well or something else that makes him reticent to go out?
Awwww, Bless her heart, I wish he could go outside, perhaps she can suggest someplace that is private on the grounds that is away from prying eyes...where he would feel safe....I love it, can't wait to see more...Well done!
So...so...
Whatever it was, it made her want to climb into bed with him, hold him, and never let go.
Sniffle. So few words, but such longing, such compassion...and such sweetness. I am longing for more. Each time you update I get this ridiculous grin.
She can do that and while there she can kiss him. It may help him out of his miserable state.
i'm with severus on this one! thanks and smoochies

Thank you! *hugs*
*grins* I can see the look on Severus' face when Hermione said, "Checkmate!" Perhaps he would enjoy a bit of another sort of "game." Does she have the courage? Would he allow it? There are silencing charms, after all.I'm really looking forward to the next chapter. 8^)Beth

Hermione definitely has the courage! It's whether or not Severus will allow her to Thank you for reviewing!
There is always checkers? Poker? Chinese checkers? or ...er, Poker? - GO FISH!! or Hearts!
Response from FicklePen (Author of The Heart of Things)
Hee! Poker with a gradual loss of clothing sounds more like Severus' modus operandi! Not sure about Hermione... I think with her blunt outlook, she'd rather just get to the heart of things I know, I'm awful, right?Thank you for reviewing! As always, I bow to your greatness: Consequences is a fic made of win!! and has my eternal love.
Well, if she doesn't want to play chess there are other games two adults can play... I'm sure Sev' won't complain that much in a change of action.
Response from FicklePen (Author of The Heart of Things)
I'm sure he won't *wiggles eyebrows*
lovely and playful! thanks and mucho smoochies
Ooooooooooooooo, I love it...and can't wait to see what happens next...Well done.....Of course, she would never call Severus emotional to his face...LOL she better not! I love this story so much....

Thank you
Sounds like my father's logic about losing games. He actually said to my aunt once "How could I win, with your dumb luck beating my superior playing?"
Response from FicklePen (Author of The Heart of Things)
My father's the same, too! Ah, the joy of family goading

I suppose that's a very wise descision! :o)
Author's Response: Certainly is!
Grumpy Severus. I know he secretly enjoys the funny little things she does so he can have his daily grumble. She knows him like a book.
I'm looking forward to your next update.

Boy howdy! He may not be used to voicing apologies, but the sure nailed that one! Yay!
One of these days Severus will learn to talk about what's bothering him... until then, I guess Hermione will have to learn to read between the lines... or not.
It's taken me a while to find my way back to this story, and I'm delighted to be back. It's a joy to read!
