Due to the often controversial nature of my fics, I've decided I will no longer be posting here (this not NOT include my WIPs--Princes in Exile and Caged Bird Sings will continue to be updated here. This is regarding only my oneshots and future long fics). You can find all my stories at my Livejournal, under the name literaryspell. None of the fics are, as yet, friendslocked, so you can read at your leisure, and friend me, or not, as you like. :D Be sure to check out my master list, which is the first post on my LJ page. Thank you!
If anyone would prefer to send comments to me personally, or would just like to talk plot or make suggestions, please contact me at literaryspell@live.com. I'm happy to hear from anyone!
Reviews for Back for Good
I love that Sirius and Harry have this time that they can be together and Sirius can get to know the man Harry has become. Please tell me this interlude is not the calm before the storm!!?? I just have the sneaky feeling all is not well with Hermione back home.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
I loved writing this chapter. Harry is so much fun to write.Well, there's a little more calm... but the storm is definitely brewing!
I loved the scene between Teddy and Sirius. Even though he has losty both his best friends, he still has a part of them in their children. I also loved the description of Hermione sitting reading with a goofy frin on her face.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Thank you, I loved writing that scene. It's harder for Sirius to feel left behind when he has so much family now.
Ohhhh, gods, I hope I never have to experience that. Ever ever ever. Never want to fight so badly with my loved one that I forget why we fought in the first place when I see him next. X_X Heartwrenching and beautifully and tactfully done, sweets. Loved it. Can't wait for the next chapter. =)
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Thank you so much for the sweet review. I'm really glad you liked the reunion. It was tough to decide how I wanted to handle it, but I think it went well.
It seems Sirius is growing up a little. He may be physically years older than Hermione, but he is behaving like a spoilt teenager who doesn't want to share his possessions.
I can't wait to find out what Hermione finds in the diaries.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Yes, he definitely has some growing up to do, but I think he's getting there.
Well, definately still a conection between the two of the then. It seems to me that Renworth is trying to let Hermione know something important, but her tired, depressed brain is not quite getting it. I hope she goes back to talk to him again without the reporter
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Yep, the connection is alive and well! And thank you for reviewing!
Finally he's got some sense. I hope the idiot makes up for it. And will she forgive him for cheating on her? The very think he kicked her out for? Jerk. I really want to know what the journals say. I have a feeling that things aren't as in the clear as we think. Looking forward to another update.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Well... he didn't really cheat. I mean, it's a bit of a grey area, but nothing happened.I hope you enjoy the update, and thanks very much for reviewing!
I love the part when Sirius decides he would have killed Snape only if it meant not going back to prison.
I also love how Harry and Ginny rally around Hermione, giving her support, even if they don't understand what's going on.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
I think Sirius is more bark than bite, but don't tell him that! And I do love to have Harry be a good friend.
No, no,no. Sirius is getting all worked up over her seeing Snape secretly. I can see how his hatred of Snape may cloud his judgement, but he really should have more faith in Hermione.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
A lot of things are clouding his judgement. Sirius really is just a teenager, what with all the years that have been stolen from him.
Hmmmm. The hissing voices sounds a lot like the dreams Hermione was having. This whole bonding is getting more and more complex!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Dun dun dun! Good eye! :)
How wonderfully accepting the Weasleys are. They all loved Sirius and are just so glad he is back with them. I think it may take a bit more adjustment for them to accept Sirius and Hermione though.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
I haven't decided if the Weasleys will cause trouble. I have the feeling Molly hasn't said all she wants to on the subject.
I can imagine Hermione rolling her eyes at the sight of an extremely drunk Harry and Sirius. It seems some of Sirius' deeper feelings come out when he has had a few, like his previously unknown possessiveness!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Possessive Sirius is awesome, and so very easy to write. As is drunk Sirius. I wonder if that says something?
Does the sacrifice of her virgin's blood mean that the parts of their souls have returned to their own bodies? It would be interesting if this sacrifice finally seperated them instead of bonding them closer together.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
That is the mystery! All I'll say is that the entire premise of the fic is based around the bond. It wouldn't behove the plot to abandon it so soon.
Phew! That was amaizing. I can still only wonder at Sirius' reactio when he discovers just ow innocent Hermione is.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Thank you! Yes, Sirius has quite the shock in store.
Oh dear. All Hermione's effort to save Sirius had led them both into another kind of prison. I hope they can find a way to fix or live with it without coming to resent each other.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Perfect analogy. And the true underlying theme of the fic.
I am still giggling at the image of Sirius' face as he imagines Snape having brought him back!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Sirius has quite the imagination! Honestly, it could have been worse than Snape! LOL
Hmmmm, a healthy, normal, (usually) sexually active male being told he HAS to have sex so that he can live? Nope, don't see there being any problems there!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Every man's dream, really! Can't see him disagreeing.
I loved the part about Snape watching out for their obituaries in the paper.
Is it just my slightly wishful imagination, but is there a bit of a connection between Snape and Hermione? And if there is, how will the hatred between him and Sirius work out?
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
It's not really wishful thinking. In my undying love for Snape, I let a little one-sided unrequited love sneak through. I've realized the error of my ways (from all the readers who want Snape to get in on the action!) and plan to tamp that down a little, unfortunately. Hermione definitely does not reciprocate.
What a surprise Sirius is going to get when he realises she has had no other seducers besides him. I wonder if that is why the bond between them is so strong: the potion needed virgin's blood, but Hermione used her own. That could cause quite a strong link.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Sirius is just too jaded for his own good, really. The blood is explained more later, as I'm sure you've read. :)
It must be so frustrating not knowing if the cravings they feel for each other are inspired by the bond, or would have happened anyway between a desirable witch and a wizard.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Exactly. This is really the crux of the story: are they guided by destiny/fate/the veil, or their own desires?
At least Sirius does not remember any of the time he spent beyond the veil.
I wonder what Sirius's reaction will be when he learns of all that Snape did to save Harry? Would the ever be able to put aside past animosity?
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
That's a good point and not something I'd explored in detail. Thank you for bringing that up! I have the perfect place to introduce how Snape saved Harry.
I would imagine her giving up a part of her soul to bring him back would be what links them. What I am wondering is that if his need for her is getting weaker, will her need for him lessen too?
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
All good questions! It's so cool to get reviews on older chapters, makes me want to read them again. :)
Poor Hermione. She had thought that Sirus was never coming back, and the next thing he is in the house, alive but not the same. I don't blame her for being a little overwhelmed!
I am so glad for Harry that he has part of his family back. I just hope Sirius recovers and goes back to being his old self.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Yes, it must have come as quite the shock! And yes, Harry finally has a relative.
As much as Snape may berate her on her choices, he still seems to have a need to understand why she is willing to give up so much, and to help her in some way, even if it is saving her life.
I wonder why her wounds won't heal straight away? Is it because they were used for blood magic?
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Part of the reason Snape understands and chooses to help is because Hermione saved his life. Now she is bestowing that gift on someone else and he can't begrudge her for that. As for the rest... *grins*
I love how Sirius is soooo bloody irrational. It just seems like such a Sirius thing. At the same time, it's really, really frustrating. I'm glad that Harry and Ginny are taking care of her, even if no one understands. I look forward to finding out what's up with the other couple. Thank youse~!
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
Yep, Sirius definitely acts without thought. There's certainly enough canon evidence to make that facet of his personality believable. And yes, she always has a home with Harry--he's a true friend.
Interesting that Snape is willing to help her bring back his mortal enemy. I hope the Sacrifice is not too big on her part, and that Sirius appreciates the enormity of what she is doing for him.
Response from LiteraryBeauty (Author of Back for Good)
It does take time for him to realize exactly what she has sacrificed, but to be fair, she isn't all that certain, either!
