I am in my 40s and I recently had two books published - Mike and the Deaf Student and Crayons - Color My World. They are both on Amazon and Barnes & Noble.
Reviews for Reversing the Veil
Ha. I love how confused Ron got at a girl hitting on Hermione. At least she found a subtle way to let her down. I wonder what is in that store that drew Harry to it?
No! I ran out of chapters! This was getting good, can't wait for more!
Poor Ron. I think he just has way too much pride to take handouts and be paid for. Great story so far.
Typical of Hermione to be interested in studying on her holiday. I wouldn't put it past her to still try and rope the boys in too.
Wow. Ron is really stepping out of himself. No more unrequited pining.
Interesting that Harry would have been recognised for something other than his scar. This trip will probably be quite beneficial to him.
Same old Ron. Stomach always first. I love the interactin between the three of them. They are finally able to act like three regular teenagers.
Mrs Weasley - the perpetual fusser. They are lucky she didn't insist on going with them!
Amaizing beginning. I can see how Harry would be struggling to cope with his survivors guilt after everything he had been through.
Poor Ron. Loosing a brother can be one of the hardest things to deal with. The person you grew up with, who you thought would always be there no longer is. It makes you grow up really quickly.
Yip. Just like the old days. That would be good for Ron if he can get some commission out of the chocolate frog deal.
I am glad Hermione has outgrown her House elf obsession. I can only wonder if Ron feels the same for Hermione?
Something is up! :)
oohh...what kind of change?!? great update. thanks muchly
I'm glad they'll have to resolve a new mystery. Else they might have been bored with all this vacation. *wink*
Hmmmm.....what kind of change?????
Nice chapter....
I think the pacing is beginning to drag a wee bit. Still an enjoyable chapter, but I would not like to see the pace get any slower.
Personally, I think that a couple of years of playing quidditch could do a world of good for Harry. He can always work in Law Enforcement later.
An interesting chapter. I have often thought professional Quidditch would be a good possibility for a post-war Harry. I think you handled the Ron/Hermione romance well.
I may not be a big fan of Ron and Hermione as a couple, but since they are not objecting, who am I to complain? :-)
Glad to see them taking in the sights. I suppose the house-elves in the Inn don’t mind mending pillows. Easier with magic!
I like this chapter for poor Ron. He so often gets left behind in fanfiction, made into a buffoon or a petulant child. Here you have him a simply a bloke on the cusp of adulthood.
A nice touch at the end, you bring all the lightness of the chapter down to earth with a crash.
I like your Wizarding Inn and Enchanters’ way. I must say that Hermione putting on make-up for sightseeing seems a bit OOC to me, but others will disagree. I wouldn’t think less of a story for a little thing like that, merely a matter of taste or opinion.
I like that you had them all laughing, perhaps even a bit hysterically. I am sure they need to unwind (for a few years) and that’s a start.
I love Molly’s voicing concerns over a dark American wizard and hotels in the same breath!
It reminds me of a conversation I had with my own daughter when her boyfreind visited her college. She called to tell me that he had arrived safely, and I said, “Good. Don’t have sex.”
When she protested my saying such a thing, I told her I was only saying what every parent thinks and I was honest enough to say.
Chocolate frog card is a good touch. Harry doesn’t realize that the loss of his parents is old and Ron’s loss is fresh and sharp. Also, Harry doesn’t even remember his parents. But they have all suffered horrible losses of friends and loved ones. I am glad to see that you are considering this, not just glossing over bereavement.
Glad to see Harry and Ron going back to finish school. So many stories have them moving on without it.
