Jealous. Possessive. Endlessly devoted. Such words could easily describe a man like Severus Snape, especially in regards to his wife. Unfortunately, Snape finds himself in the position of shielding Hermione from the temptation of a hot-blooded and much younger man—himself.
Silently and patiently beta'ed by the wonderful Madbrilliant!

I enjoy writing simple poetry about love, life, and betrayal; either about myself or those closest to me.
Notice! December 2, 2010:
This site is amazing. The numerous reviews and reads I have received here has been beyond humbling. However as I have gotten older, RL has taken main priority to reading and writing fanfic. Any tiny fraction of personal time I am able to indulge myself has been spent in the fandom, but I must admit it had been dwindling more and more. I will NEVER abandon anything I have begun, and attempt to finish my WIPs every day. However, like many authors, I have made the mistake of submitting my work to more archives than I am capable of maintaining with the care that is due them. If I am able and time willing, I might continue to update my fics here, but my main priority lies elsewhere. MODERATED ARCHIVES ARE A BLESSING AND NECESSARY FOR QUALITY FIC. I stand by that. Unfortunately submitting my fics to various moderated archives means more time necessary to edit the various mistakes each individual archives will find in my work. My fics will continue to be updated at Ashwinder and Potter Place Archives, anywhere else will have to take a back seat. This is my problem and I take full responsibility. Thank you for reading, reccing, voting, and reviewing my fics on The Petulant Poetess!
Reviews for Bound to Happen
I was getting a great chuckle out of elder Sev treating the younger like a misbehaving younger brother. It was all rather funny until --- Ow - didn't see that coming! Hermione getting slammed with the door, or the glass; that's gonna hurt.

Thank you! I had fun writing Snape versus Snape, lol.
Lissa - just found an update notice for this story at Wicked and could not resist since I was just about to read a story by the same name about Sirius! Your first chapter - absolutely fascinating!! The possibilities for this prompt stagger the imagination and I can't wait to read the rest, and catch up to the sequel, to see what you've done with it.

! I'm so pleased that you enjoyed the opening premise!
I really enjoyed this story! Having Junior and Senior interacting was so unique and smart. Thanks for sharing!!
Oh this just gets better and better. adult/Severus really has a bur up his when it comes to his younger/sev-self. Oh, you do show the differences in their character and personalities. Oh, and I loved Hermione's reaction.

Thank you! Chapter 2 is up!
this is so much fun.I'm glad one took this promt and gave it a start.it is so funny to read this mind hopping from Snape to Snape from past to future. he can't even threaten his younger self, as it just dawned on him.But why did he have to warn him not to meddle with Hermione of the past? And now we know why Hermione could warn Harry, and knew how important it was not to be seen by the other self!! because there was one nosy teacher who had done this already.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Snape's reasons for meddling and threats are explained a bit next chapter (which is in queue!).
This prompt jumped out and attacked me! I don't know who originally wrote it but I send all my thanks to them for the wonderful plot bunny.
Thank you for the read and review!

Now, this is a premise par excellance. You certainly have me hooked firmly, and your story has secured a place in my bookmark folder. I hope this will continue in this highly entertaining way in future chapters. Good luck with the challenge.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
That's certainly exciting to hear! Happy you like it so far. And thanks for the read and review!
Too funny, past Severus has current Severus over a barrel. Maybe he should remind himself ~laughs~ that if doesn't want another to touch HIS wife in the future, he'll keep his hands to himself. Nah, past Severus would prolly do it for spite. ~Now, I'm confused~ Look forward to the next chapter, well done.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
You're confused! Writing a conversation between Snape and himself is much more difficult than I thought, lol but fun! Thanks for the review.
OOO great start! I can't wait to read more. Please update soon.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Next chapter complete. Thanks for the review!
Heheee – gotcha!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Exactly! Thanks for the review!
This love-triangle is every girl's fantasy, I tell you. In between a Snape, and more Snape? Yes please!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Two Snapes are better than one! haha Thanks for the review!
This better be only the first chapter....and you've got a lot of explaining to do!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
The first of many chapters. Thanks for the review!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Sequel is up!
Oh, wow. good start. This could really turn into a mess. Or really work in his favor.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
haha yes it can! Thank you for the read and review!
Interesting begining. looking forward to reading more.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
And more you shall have. Thanks for the review!
This has such an interesting twist. Now I am eagerly waiting to see what will happen next. Obviously, Snape knows something he doesn't want to happen again or would have never intercepted himself.Very good way to drag the reader in... hold them down... tie them up. tee hee.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thank you! Very happy you enjoyed it.
Oh, I love that Snape is jealous ... of himself! It seems you've got the prompt spot-on, and it's an interesting and unique use of the time-turner. Looking forward to more!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
The prompt was a great one. This story is writing itself. Thanks for the review!
Very good start. Can't wait to see what the two Snapes get up to. Two thumbs up for a good start.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thank you! More to come very soon.
Oh I love it!However this didn't work for me: "...You hate waiting for me when I shop for books.” "...I don’t hate anything you do… You can certainly become insufferably irritating at times…”Because the subject of the first sentence is SS, not H. The way the sentence reads it is he who hates waiting, not her book shopping. It just took me out of the story for a moment while I tried to figure out what you meant. And the idea of a an older S who's jealous of his younger self is just too wonderful! Can't wait to read more.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Ah, I can see where that would be confusing. But glad you liked it regardless, next chapter on its way. Thanks for the review!
ooooooohh...neat-o!! excellent start! i look forward to the next chapter. thanks so much
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thanks! Happy you enjoyed it. Next chapter on its way.
Oh, wow! I'm chuckling at the younger Snape's shrewdness. It sounds like his trip to the future did not go well, and I'm looking forward to seeing what happened and how the older Snape tries to change whatever it is. Okay, it's hard to say much of anything knowing so little right now.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Yup, still many unanswered questions. Some are addressed next chapter. Thanks for the review!
I really like what youj've done here! I can't wait to see what goes on next. Bwahahahaha!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thank you! Very happy you enjoyed it.
Oh, what a promising start not only to your story, but to the whole challenge! The premise is very original - I don't think I've read a time-turner story where someone was stranded in the future. I'm very curious about what's going to happen.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
I've never read one either, but I'm sure there are some out there. Thanks for the review!
Oh holy crap on a cracker. No, he wouldn't be able to have a wife, would he? Yikes! Severus invented the time-turner? Oh my.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Much more to come. Thanks for the read and review!
