Jealous. Possessive. Endlessly devoted. Such words could easily describe a man like Severus Snape, especially in regards to his wife. Unfortunately, Snape finds himself in the position of shielding Hermione from the temptation of a hot-blooded and much younger man—himself.
Silently and patiently beta'ed by the wonderful Madbrilliant!

I enjoy writing simple poetry about love, life, and betrayal; either about myself or those closest to me.
Notice! December 2, 2010:
This site is amazing. The numerous reviews and reads I have received here has been beyond humbling. However as I have gotten older, RL has taken main priority to reading and writing fanfic. Any tiny fraction of personal time I am able to indulge myself has been spent in the fandom, but I must admit it had been dwindling more and more. I will NEVER abandon anything I have begun, and attempt to finish my WIPs every day. However, like many authors, I have made the mistake of submitting my work to more archives than I am capable of maintaining with the care that is due them. If I am able and time willing, I might continue to update my fics here, but my main priority lies elsewhere. MODERATED ARCHIVES ARE A BLESSING AND NECESSARY FOR QUALITY FIC. I stand by that. Unfortunately submitting my fics to various moderated archives means more time necessary to edit the various mistakes each individual archives will find in my work. My fics will continue to be updated at Ashwinder and Potter Place Archives, anywhere else will have to take a back seat. This is my problem and I take full responsibility. Thank you for reading, reccing, voting, and reviewing my fics on The Petulant Poetess!
Reviews for Bound to Happen
Wow. Amazing. I love the fatalistic view you've taken. How intriguing. Can't wait for more!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Very happy you enjoyed it!
At the begining i thought you were using 'Severus' for one and 'Snape' for the other. but it turned out it was from younger Snape's POV and you used both names for him in a short time, confusing me a bit.other than that bit, I had no difficulty in keeping them straight.very interesting. I don't have time to write about theories of time travel right now, but it is interesting. in stoping things from happening they way they did 'before', who knows what older Snape has done to the time line?Old fart must’ve added an inch to his boots… hysterical
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
I've had a few reviews point out their difficulty in telling which Snape is which, so that's very telling in what I need to improve. But I am pleased that you are enjoying it so far. Thanks for the read and review!
O love this! I enjoy time travel stories when they are well thought out, and this looks like a brilliant one! Oh, I am so happy there is another chapter to read!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Well... I HOPE this will be well thought out. I am living in fear of the possible plot holes that might pop up, but I hope this story will pan out as I am intending it. Don't be afraid to point out any; I enjoy criticism. Thank you for the read and review!

Sequel is up!
I guess things in history do not change that much. This time the older Severus hurts Hermione. Uh Oh that might be hard to explain. Good job and I will await the update.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thank you! Next chapter on its way.
Different but the same -- interesting take on time travel. I like what you have done so far and look forward to seeing how this is all resolved. Thanks for posting, JoAnne

This is absolutely brilliant. Thank you so very much for directing me here. I could cry in happiness. This chapter is stunning. Graceful and articulate, razor's edge of dangerous and the perfect combination of peaceful bliss and devilish sexuality.Thank you, again. I wish I had your way with words and could express exactly and how much this thing makes me feel. The closest I can come is that it makes my heart pound and my breath catch and my stomach to clench and my sentences to run on.~Mia (

Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
The next chapter is complete! I'm a bit between beta's ATM so sorry for the delay. As soon as I get the next chaptered edited it will be up! Thanks for reading!
It's "Dual" meaning two, not "duel" meaning fight between two, in Paragraph 2. And the comma in paragraph 3 is misplaced and not even necessary.Aside from that, great chapter!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thanks for catching that! My original document has been edited. As soon as the challenge is complete I'll have a massive re-edit of all these chapters for overall content. Do you beta by any chance? Thank you for reading and reviewing!
Response from KarenDetroit (Reviewer)
Better yet, I was paid for it--I've been a tech writer in the past.I would be delighted to provide beta services for such a good author.....
I had this story bookmarked, but when an update arrived I couldn't get around to reading it. Once I did, though, it recaptivated me completely - again. It's so different from my usual fare, but so, so good!-~*~-Whenever Junior opens his mouth to put foot in it, Hermione should remind herself that he'll live to confront his assumptions with reality and is going to be thoroughly mortified by his previous actions. Can't imagine a better revenge.Of course that will only work for Hermione. Senior can't derive any pleasure from that thought, as he was the one living trough that very mortification himself. One more reason Junior gets on his nerves so much, I guess.

Wonderful review! Addressed many topics which are touched upon next chapter. Update in a couple of days. Thank you for your read and review!
Wow, this is so clever and well written. Love it!

Next chapter should be up shortly! Thank you for the reads and reviews!
The scenes in this chapter I could see so clearly in my mind's eye. Well written.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thank you so much!
This is good - I am getting a bit confused as to who is who but that is okay. LOL
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thanks. Yeah, I've been trying to improve on that seeing as a number of reviewers said the same thing. Next chapter is in queue so let me know if I'm still making it confusing! Thanks for the read and review!
Oh ho, I loves that Sev(Junior) had a hard time listening in on his older self making love to Hermione. Poor boy. They are so diferent. I'm so amazed that you are able to keep them so different and in character. Ron's little stunt was obscene - well written and funny - but the S.O.B. yuck! I loved how Sev came in and 'assisted' Hermione. Young Sev is going to learn a lot wether Severus wants him to or not.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Very excited you enjoyed it!! Thank you for the read and review!
One would have to wonder if with the younger doing something like this at the end of the chapter, that the elder does not suddenly become aware that it is happening ... like remembering something that hadn't been before. It would tend to be confusing at first, until he figured out why there was a sudden memory in his head. [Did that make sense?]
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Perfect sense! There's a number of ways I figured I could go about the time paradox, but I wanted to leave it very open ended. Changing memories, but it still felt natural and probable. Anywho, thank you so much for your reads and wonderful reviews!
'The apprehension that you might never recover from your sick addiction to Hogwarts’ populace of Muggle-born seventh-year girls...'Is this just an insinuation by elder Sev that this younger one might crave his Muggle-born seventh-years, or is it a revelation that elder Severus himself used to have this addiction??Either way - wicked! And would the Mrs know this about her husband?
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
The later. And what Hermione knows or doesn't know is yet to be revealed.
