Jealous. Possessive. Endlessly devoted. Such words could easily describe a man like Severus Snape, especially in regards to his wife. Unfortunately, Snape finds himself in the position of shielding Hermione from the temptation of a hot-blooded and much younger man—himself.
Silently and patiently beta'ed by the wonderful Madbrilliant!

I enjoy writing simple poetry about love, life, and betrayal; either about myself or those closest to me.
Notice! December 2, 2010:
This site is amazing. The numerous reviews and reads I have received here has been beyond humbling. However as I have gotten older, RL has taken main priority to reading and writing fanfic. Any tiny fraction of personal time I am able to indulge myself has been spent in the fandom, but I must admit it had been dwindling more and more. I will NEVER abandon anything I have begun, and attempt to finish my WIPs every day. However, like many authors, I have made the mistake of submitting my work to more archives than I am capable of maintaining with the care that is due them. If I am able and time willing, I might continue to update my fics here, but my main priority lies elsewhere. MODERATED ARCHIVES ARE A BLESSING AND NECESSARY FOR QUALITY FIC. I stand by that. Unfortunately submitting my fics to various moderated archives means more time necessary to edit the various mistakes each individual archives will find in my work. My fics will continue to be updated at Ashwinder and Potter Place Archives, anywhere else will have to take a back seat. This is my problem and I take full responsibility. Thank you for reading, reccing, voting, and reviewing my fics on The Petulant Poetess!
Reviews for Bound to Happen
Hahahaha I love how Hermione gets all bossy with the little shite even when she hasn't even properly met him yet. This is way too fun :)

Its been fun to write, so I'm happy you're enjoying it. Thank you for the review!
Oh my goodness, this is getting convoluted. That younger Sev needs a good kick where it hurts the most! :)
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
He certainly does! Thanks for reading!
Old fart Snape is having a difficult time of it now that he has told Hermione what had happened. And young Snape had better be careful... Hermione is out for answers, and he'd better have the right ones. This is so different from anything I've read, and it's a hoot to try to keep up with both Snapes!Looking forward to the next chapter!!!Beth

I've never written anything like this, but it is fun trying. Happy you enjoyed it. Thank you for the read and review!
Another great chapter. I like the part about muggle-borns being a fetish for him. Different and strangely sexy :)
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thank you! Very excited you liked that part. Thank you for the review!
Thank goodness Severus had changed for the better over time. The memories of Lily in this chapter made me very sad - sad for Lily. How he’d relish the enjoyment of breaking such a girl if she were his. Good grief, what a misguided young man. Like said, thankfully time changed him for the better.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Misguided, indeed. More on this very soon. Thank you for the read and review!

Thank you! The next chapter shouldn't be long in coming, but I do want to make it longer in word length. Thanks for the read and review!
I'm enjoying it. I like the young v. old Snape and am looking forward to more.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
They are fun to write, so I'm very glad you like it!
OMG! History repeats itself with minor changes. Poor Hermione. I hope she isn't too badly injured this time.• Broken jaw? CHECK• Caused by a young Severus Snape running into her? CHECK• Falling into the glass door of the bookstore? NOPE Glass door of the china cabinet.Elder!Snape can't kill Younger!Snape, but I'll bet at this point he would if he could!Brilliant! I can't wait to find out where you take this next!Beth
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Oh I bet Old Snape would love to seriously hurt his former self! haha. Next chapter on its way. Thank you for the review!
A very ingenious plot. Severus having to protect his wife from his younger Snape-self is a total hoot! I don't imagine that it seems like such a lark to Severus though. Bloody hell! He was ready to kill the young wizard... until he was reminded that if he did, he wouldn't live to get married.Woohoo! This is going to be fun! Beth
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
So far is has been very fun to write. I can only hope to portray that to the readers. Glad you liked it. Thank you for the review!
I don't think you want to use "virulent". You want "vigourous" or "virile".Virulent means: poisonous, lethal, injurious, lethal, toxic, etc.I am in great and painful suspense!
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Virulent does indeed mean variations of poisonous, but I guess depending on which Thesaurus one uses (which I cannot live without, haha) it can also mean 'strong', 'dangerous', and 'powerful'. Much more to come. Thank you for the read and review!
I love the banter between the younger-self and the older-self! They really are tow different Severus Snapes! Good job! Too bad for Hermione though, she just doesn't get a break. *snort* sorry.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Haha, it is funny writing Snape vs Snape. Much more of that next chapter. And poor Hermione indeed, more of her next chapter. Thank you for the read, review, and Potter Place pimp!
You managed the dialogue between the older and the younger Severus rather well. I had no troubles following who said what. *applauds*I can only imagine the trouble the two of them have given you while writing the scenes.Oh dear, it seems fate is harder to deflect than Severus thought. At least you said originally he nearly killed her, so a happy end is still possible.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Both Snapes are nothing but trouble, I'm telling you. Much more to come next chapter. Thank you for the read and review!
Wow. So history is repeating itself, just with very slight differences. I think that's a very interesting tidbit. It seems history would replay, but since young Severus hadn't slammed into Hermione when he'd first realized his situation I wondered if each time things would be totally different (which seemed a little odd) and instead, now seeing the subtle differences that can happen, it seems this fic will have a lot of foreshadowing, yet surprises, all at the same time - really cool! I admit, it was still a little hard for me to differentiate between the two men at the beginning of this chapter. I wasn't quite sure who was who and who was doing what to whom. At first I thought maybe one was going by "Snape" and the other, "Severus", which may make it a little easier, but once they got to the house, I got my stride and understood exactly which man was which so excellent job there because I'd imagine having two of the same character is very hard to write. I know I couldn't do it without utter confusion for the readers. LOL Continuing to look forward to new chapters and I'm really anticipating the twists and turns of 'repeating history'.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Yeah, I've had multiple reviewers point out the difficulty in knowing which Snape is speaking. I'm going to try to make that more clear in chapters to come. But yes, it is very difficult to write two of the same character! Happy you enjoyed it. Thank you for the review!
Again?
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Yup! Poor Hermione. Thanks for the read and review!
OMG he manages to do this to her twice. He's going to beat himself for that. Poor Hermione.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
He has much explaining to do! Thank you for the read and review!
I like how you're having history repeat itself, yet be a tiny bit different.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thank you! Very happy you enjoyed it.
Oh dear. It seems there are some things that won't be changed after all. Looking forward to your next update :)
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Next chapter on its way. Thank you for the read and review!
I love it! What a fabulous premise :)
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
Thank you! And thanks for the review!
Oh, good God, this is amazing. I love time-travel fics, but would never be brave enough to plot one, with all the head-spinning potential that implies -- and you're crafting a *total* head-spinner here. Very excited to see what transpires next.
Response from Battle of Lissa (Author of Bound to Happen)
This should be a fun ride, but definitely a 'head-spinner' as you say. Time travel fics are tough. Thank you for the review!
