Reviews for Golden Gain
Has Hermione lost her mind? I'm afraid that's exactly what will happen – or worse – if she goes through with her plan to have McGaven to Soulstrike her.Severus cannot be happy about this! Why can't they just allow the attraction between them to remain? (Note to self: "Well, silly girl, because then the story the author has planned can't be written!" LOL!)The puzzle is SO intriguing, and I can't wait to find out the solution. Makes me wonder what Ollivander has to do with it?I'm glad you're posting this sequel to Invictus. I just read the final chapter of that story, and here I am to find out what happens next!Thank you for continuing this tale. Beth

Snape doesn't like being compelled to do anything, even if it's something he enjoys doing. I'm glad you liked Invictus and I hope you continue to enjoy Golden Gain.
Oh my! I was absolutely thrilled to see you had decided to write a sequel to Invictus. I love that story and am chopping at the bit for more. Please tell me you are one of those authors that writes many chapters before they begin posting so we will have frequent updates! Irish

Actually I'm a very slow writer. But Golden Gain *will* be completed eventually.
Can only repeat what I said in the review I left for The Varlet. The Celtic happy dance continues.
Response from Doomspark (Author of Golden Gain)
I'm glad you're dancing happily... I hope you continue to enjoy the tales I spin.

I'm really glad that you're continuing this and sincerely hope for an answer to the open questions left behind in Invictus.
Good too see that Severus is finally acquitted.
Does Albus has lost his magic, by the way? Him having resigned his post could be an indicator, but then his ordeal could also simply have helped him decide he's due for retirement.
Now let's see what this new puzzle is about, and wether Snape and Hermione really do want to have this potion induced bond released or not...
Alcina vom Steinsberg's response: Darn, pressed "send" too early.. I wanted to say, too, that Hermione must be out of her mind to even think of doing somehting so... stupid? Gryffindor? Whatever?
Dear God! Well that was unexpected! I am thrilled that you are following up Invictus, a story I enjoyed when I was first reading fan fiction.

I'm so glad you enjoyed Invictus, and I hope you continue to enjoy Golden Gain. 10 points to the House of your choice if you recognize the source of the title (without googling it).

I have to admit i do not recognise Golden Gain. Of course, I recognized Invictus immediatley isn't eveyone required to read that in 7th grade? when most of them can't understand it.
Is she nuts?
Response from Doomspark (Author of Golden Gain)
No - it's just her Gryffindor enthusiasm running away with her.
I was just planning to re-read Invictus when I saw that you were starting a sequel - brilliant! The scene where Snape reveals himself to be re-souled to Professor McGonagall is one of my favourites in fanfiction. Is something going to go horribly wrong with Hermione's plan? And is that a prophesy, rather than a puzzle?
Response from Doomspark (Author of Golden Gain)
"horribly wrong" is something of an understatement. And that's all I'm going to say about it. *grin*
I wonder if the riddle contains the answer they are looking for?
Response from Doomspark (Author of Golden Gain)
*whistles innocently*

Innocent? Yeah... right!
Now, not only will Snape not like that idea, I don't like it either! I suppose that because they know how to counteract that, everything will be fine, but... it's just eerie.
So, will Hermione taking her body out of the equation, or her mind, be what will break the Amorata? Sounds risky anyway.
I'm so glad you decided to do a sequel to this story. Can't wait for more.
Excellent start. I loved Invictus, this looks to be just as good.
(faints) now why does Hermione's "solution" sound too dangerous?? as always, I have no idea what the parchment really means, although I suspect it will be too obvious only after you explain it in full detail. looking forward to the rest of this ride!
Response from Doomspark (Author of Golden Gain)
Snape is *not* going to be happy about that solution either... about the only thing that would make him madder is if she'd suggested having Aberon Soulstrike *him* instead.
wow! what a begining and a (dare i say it) evil cliffie? great stuff. thanks so much
~dun dun dun dun~Wow. It's so good to see you back again, and this story being continued? I love it. Good work as always. I look forward to what you have planned! :)
Response from Doomspark (Author of Golden Gain)
Yep, I'm planning to finish Golden Gain. And Future Perfect. And the Varlet.
