Reviews for The Daily Prophet
Hooray! McDonald's is coming! I wonder... will they customize their menu and be offering Big Wizards, a Quarter-Wizard with cheese, or perhaps... McWizard Nuggets? Ahhhhhhhhh... delicious.I see that Weasley's Wizarding Wheezes has gone big time with advertisements offering a discount if the customer mentions the ad. A very adroit way to determine where their advertising Galleons are best spent. McGibbon's Wonder Shampoo will likely be a great hit with Potions Masters and Mistresses and students far and wide. There is nothing quite so apt to spoil the appearance of one's hair as slaving over a hot cauldron all day. Could this little wonder have come to the Wizarding world via my esteemed and favorite Potions Master, Severus Snape? The one whom Minister of Magic Shacklebolt insists did not survive the war? Hummmmm... this bears watching. But then, everything about Severus bears watching... and I do mean everything!Millicent's Magical Menagerie Pet Shop is THE place to go for Familiars. While she does offer the cutest kittens and fiercest snakes, I personally am interested in the "every kind of magical creature in between." Don't you find that having an unusual or unique Familiar to be quite the conversation starter? I think they are very handy on the occasional blind date one gets pressed into by one's friends (who truly mean well). After all, if one finds their blind date to be interesting and engaging, then there is no need to mention that one's Familiar is prone to nibble on bits and pieces of folk who tend to be irritating to their masters. If, however, the date is a total arse, then speaking about the endearing habits of one's Familiar can be an effective deterrent to the over eager but unwanted attentions of the boor. I remain your loyal reader,Beth

hehe I have it written upto chapter ten. Next is the classifieds and some fun things. Nine is Dear Helga, I think you will like that, and last is the comics and other fun stuff. But I promise that I have a sequel that will be more story and explainations. Thanks for keeping with me on this. Until next time.

Another colorful and entertaining chapter. I love how you are hitting every section of the paper. I wondered if this was yours, as you have a great talent with media and have been branching out in the writing area. Nicely done once again.

OMG! I cannot believe she is a traitor!! I am taking everything in this Daily Prophet with a grain of salt. LOL, I would be afraid for my life if Minerva caught me calling her Minni! She would probably hex first and ask questions later.Great chapter, er... section? Anyway, I am going on.Cheers,Stef =o)
Response from Arabella Bloodgood (Author of The Daily Prophet)
I believe only those who are truly close to her get away without being hexed myself. Thanks again for reviewing.

Wow! This is AWESOME! I really think you hit Rita spot on. And it rings true along the lines of the JKR books, too. The Daily Prophet could never be trusted then either. That Skeeter woman seems to be up to her usual tricks.(And I am wondering how true the Dudley Dursley thing is. I wonder what would happen if Rita got a lead on Hermione with a certain potions master and what might happen to her. <eg>)I can't wait to read more!Cheers,Stef

"Figures, all hype and no information! Well, Arthur, what have you to say about this?" Molly said, throwing the Prophet on the table.Arthur looked up as he finished his eggs and hash. "What, oh come off your broom! We both know Minerva is innocent! She's probably being wanted for questioning about Severus," he replied calmy. "Well, wish me luck, I'm off to work.""ARTHUR!" Molly schreeched."Yes," he said, poking his head out of the Floo."It's Saturday! We're going to Shell Cottage to see our grandbaby!""OH, yes, right." Arthur stepped from the Floo. "All this business about Minerva, and us being such close friends, I just thought...""Fine. Go. If you think it will help," Molly relented."I'll let you know what Kingsley says. I suppose you still want me to invite Harry and Hermione to dinner?" he asked, quickly kissing her cheek, hearing her, "yes..." as the green flames whisked him off to the Ministry.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Not a typical review - but you inspired me!*hugs* Hope you don't mind. I think I agree with Arthur! Nice picture of her though.

What a wonderfully original idea! (The idea to use 'news stories' as a narrative is a wonderfully original idea. Pairing Hermione with the 'Big D' while original is hardly wonderful!) But, since this is The Daily Prophet, and the author of the article is Rita Skeeter, who is not noted for her journalistic integrity, I'm willing to make a leap of faith and say that not all is as it seems.I'm looking forward to reading more of this delightful piece.
Response from Arabella Bloodgood (Author of The Daily Prophet)

I have oppsosite feeling towards this chapter. On one hand I find the idea very original but on the other hand I'd like to scream WHAT'S THAT CRAP. As If Hermione would want anything to do with Dudley. The very image of it... yuk *very disguted, close to vomiting*.
Response from Arabella Bloodgood (Author of The Daily Prophet)
LOL I'm glad this chapter got a reaction from you. Sorry it was that reaction but am glad it got one. Just remember this is Skeeter and the Daily Prophet. Don't believe everything you see. There is more to this story in the rest of the chapters.

A lovely take on the prompts. Minni? LOL Can you imagine anyone calling Professor McGonagall, Minni? You gotta wonder if this is as acurate as most of what the DP prints!I'm so happy there will be more chapters coming! I mean pages, pages of the daily Prophet with more news inspired by the prompts. Thanks for sharing this!

Lol. Is she really in love with Dudley? Now that would be Scandalous (said in a sing song, high pitched voice.) Ah, that Skeeter woman is always good for a great story, isn't she?
Response from Arabella Bloodgood (Author of The Daily Prophet)
Yes she is but don't believe everything you read. More will become clearer as the paper continues. Thank you so much for reviewing.
