Seventeen years ago, the Head Girl took Snape's rejection of her personally and exacted a long-lasting revenge--one that Dumbledore was not above using for his own end.

Sometimes writing, nearly always beta reading, I love to unwind after work by reading fanfiction.

This was a great chapter. I loved how she was able to go to his dream world and experience what his dreams are like. I'm looking forward to more. Keep up the awesome work! ~Brena

Thanks! It will be a challenge in later chapters to keep the dreams looking fresh and different.

I like her being able to enter his dreams, too - gives them a bit more equal standing at least in that sense.

Yeah, he holds so many of the cards that I could see Hermione determined to change that. Thanks!

So a Death Eater's dreams are not too unlike Hermione's. Interesting.

Well, I think no one has nightmares like Severus, him being in a unique position in the war. But I intrigued myself with the idea of seeing the battle over Little Winging from his perspective.

Thanks! The idea of writing my own classic-style bonding scenario was too good to pass up.

Interesting bond idea.

Thanks. It's been fun coming up with a bond that kind of harkens back to the old days.

Thanks. Well, anything remotely citrus is going to have to wait quite a while. I hope you stay along for the ride!

It sounds like someone cares a bit more than they're willing to admit. I'm glad she spoke with Dumbledore. He actually helped (!) her to trust Severus. Miracles never cease, do they? And now she knows not to get involved with Ron. (Yay)
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Severus Snape and the Head Girl Curse)
Yeah, poor Severus doesn't quite know what to do yet. And I'm enjoying reinventing Dumbledore a bit. Thanks!

Nice use of canon. I'm always interested to read canon events from a slightly AU perspective. Good chapter, you've still got me intrigued.

i know Snape is acting the way he is to maintain the bond with Hermione, but how long until he starts to feel things for real? if he does, will he admit it? Great Story.

Well, I hope you keep reading to see where the line starts to blurr.

Directed dreaming... I have read of it, but never experienced it myself. It seems that Dumbledore gave Hermione the encouragement she needed to be able to cooperate with Severus in their shared dreaming.Right now, she feels secure in Severus' embrace as they dream themselves in the backyard of the The Burrow. This is a very interesting and different story, and I can't wait to find out what will happen next.Beth

I can usually direct my dreams to some extent at least once a week. Hermione is trying a lot harder than I do ;) I'm working on remaking Dumbledore a bit, yeah. Thanks!

The tie ins between DH and this are well done. :)

Love the whole concept of the story and it is so very well written. I like how you've woven some of the DH elements into your story but I would be just as happy that events do not play out the same way. In fact I know I would rather not see events happen the same way. For example, I would rather Hermione went back to school, definitely don't want the epilogue to come to pass, etc. But, however your story unfolds, can't wait for the next chapter. Great job.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Severus Snape and the Head Girl Curse)
Thanks so much! I'm planning to stick pretty close to DH for the general outline, at least for a while...

It is very sweet that they interact so tenderly in their dreams. The lust spell makes it believable, but I miss Snape's bark.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Severus Snape and the Head Girl Curse)
Thanks. I've tried to make sure that Snape barks at least once in every scene after getting this review.

An excellent chapter! I really like how you are using the dreams. And the incidents in DH. You are reeling me into this story!

Thanks. It's been neat rereading DH with the view of making it SSHG

Excellent. Though I hope there aren't too many nods to 'Unfinished Business' - lovely story but *sniffle*! Snape's relative honesty about what is happening is very interesting.
Response from WriterMerrin (Author of Severus Snape and the Head Girl Curse)
Aww, I am pretty sure that was the only nod. I hope it stays interesting for you. Thanks!
