I think Harry was right to be mad at Snape, he took advantage of Hermione and only her love for him helped him in the end...well, his actions as a spy too, but I think Harry would have found a way to make Snape disappear if not for Hermione's obvious love for him.

Remus was right, it matters how the love story ends and at the end Hermione was happy.

Thank you so much for this great story. This must be the best "Voldemort won" story I have read thus far. The characters felt real, Snape was believable, a happy realistic-not-too-fluffy ending... I'm sold! :)

 I have read it once before, and now happened upon it again. I read it in one evening straight through. You are a great writer, I'd love to read another lengthy SS/HG story from your pen.

Only a couple of points that I would have wished had been explained a bit more fully. One was Snape's brewing of illegal potions - I suppose contraceptives were for the resistance, but what about abortive potions? For hand-witches..? And what good is it, because after an abortion, the hand-witch is probably required to become pregnant again?

The other was Hermione's not wanting to meet with Snape until the very end of the pregnancy, I suppose that was because she needed time, but I still would have liked to hear more about her reasons (and why she didn't let Snape to write her). Also, why she didn't want to testify in Snape's trial? Perhaps it was because she didn't wish to discriminate him in some way for taking advantage of her..?

All in all, this was an awesome story! I especially liked the twist with Dumbledore's letter being actually from Snape, never saw that one coming! You have a real talent with words, characters and plot. Thank you ever so much.

I hope you find out that I left this review. I realize that this story has been finished for a while. I found it by hitting "random story" and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Quite a twist in the AU catagory. The bit about Neville's sacrifice made my heart wrench in pain. But I can see him doing it. At least Snape made sure he didn't really know what was going on when the end came.Thanks for sharing your imagination and talent with us. Well done.
