this chapter was so much fun! i just adore drunken, loopy severus and you wrote him very well. but then - oh, dear. well, if they could get past the tartan nightdress on their way to their night of passion, i'm sure they will make it past this little misunderstanding. ; )

This is one of the funniest scenes ever!'Don't just stand there!' she yelled angrily. 'Get your wand out and do something!'He let out a strangled snort that sounded suspiciously like a giggle. 'Oh, Professor Granger. I didn't know you cared!' I hope Hermione and Severus are able to get past this awkward moment without too much loss of pride.Great chapter!Beth

Purdy definitely better stay away from Snape for awhile. I'm looking forward to seeing how Severus and Hermione interact with each other now, and if they'll get past the awkwardness to actually give each other a chance.

This has incredible depth for a drabble series. I like the way you're intertwining all of the different relationships people have with Severus.

Wow, I've been seeing this on LJ and waiting for it to end, but this first chapter is like two punches in the gut. First, the Charity one, then the Albus one. Fascinating characterization!

That is heartbreakingly beautiful... but I'm curious why Severus says he doesn't know what was in the wine when he seemed to know in the previous chapter.

Thank you. Vinoveritas has tongue-loosening properties but doesn't make the drinker dissolve into fits of giggles - which is why they suspect Purdy may have put something else in it.

So lovely. Purdy is a free house-elf with good intentions who isn't terribly bright ... she's created quite a mess! I can't see lemons coming at this moment (even if you were inclined to write them, but the rating tells me you aren't); Severus and Hermione are too smart and prudent for that. But the evening's events will certainly get them thinking about each other, won't they?Still worried about what Burbage is doing. I like the rapport Severus and Betty have with each other.

Purdy is no fool, and she has a plan... and I completely concur with her machinations.I laughed my tail off at the ending of this chapter.
