A new scene from Care of Magical Creatures written for the Romancing the Wizard "Bring Out Your Dead" Challenge. A 750-word "outtake" scene, never seen before, from earlier in the story when the angst was less angsty.
Prompt: An incredible orgasm.

Care of Magical Creatures recently received two awards on "Secrets of the Dark Vaults," a Russian fanfic site. Best NC-17 and Best Maxi Translation. The Nine-Year Plan was awarded Best Mini-Fic! I'm delighted to be in translation and to please the readers in Russia!

With the completion of Care of Magical Creatures my fanfic output is going to slow way down, but if you want to be sure to know when new fics post, please follow me on twitter. I don't tweet much, but I'll surely tweet that kind of thing.
About Mia
I came to the world of Harry Potter relatively early, after first resisting it because it just seemed too trendy. But when the first book came out in paperback in the US I picked it up at the airport when I was about to catch a flight, and two chapters in knew I would be ordering the original from amazon.co.uk in hardcover as soon as I landed.
I came to fanfic late, waiting until after I'd read DH. That means I've been totally obsessed with the fanfic world of Harry Potter, and most specifically the SS/HG ship, since August of '07.
I'm helplessly and hopelessly hooked.

Thank you! I'm thrilled that you liked it?
lol this made me giggle
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
I'm so glad it did. I wrote it in a dark period of Care of Magical Creatures, when I felt as if I might never smile again. I needed a reminder of what they'd been like in their early days together!Thank you!
W00t! Of course this was a needed part of the story! I enjoyed it! Thank you again for the steamy sex.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
Thank you, it was written during some of the angstiest parts of CoMC when I realized I had more angst to come, and needed to remember what their relationship was really like!
Well isnt that a nice way to pass a chilly evening?
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
I wouldn't turn the opportunity down.

thanks for that delicious (momentary)break from angst. love the way you write!
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
I desperately needed that break and was glad to have an excuse to write it. Thank you!

"She’d been reading fucking books again."That would be books about fucking, right? hehehhee. Told you I'd read 'em all!
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
LOL! You can take that either way, can't you? Fucking books or books about fucking, and I think he means it both ways!

Had to reread this again when I saw it posted here...COMC-Severus-and-Hermoine are my favorites, and what fun to read them in a light hearted moment. When COMC is completed, I hope you revisit the characters in similar fashion - this was just wonderful.I know it was already mentioned, but “Oh, indeed, they queued up for the privilege,” ....what classic Snape snark. I'm in love with that line.

Thank you so much. Even though I didn't spell it out (not enough words in that challenge and I had other things I'd rather they said) the idea that he'd never been up there with someone to kiss and neither had she really made me feel rather bittersweet, because certainly they both shouldn't have had to wait so long--but then, they waited for each other, I suppose! (Yes, that's soppy.)

Lovely. It's good to have a bit of cheering up in the middle of CoMC. Not that I complain, but it's just being so angsty at the moment and I don't like to see them suffer even if it's necessary sometimes. So thanks for sharing the "cut scene"

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed sharing my litte "break."

oh wonderful little ditty!! I love the way you write them both!!! Thank you so much a very much needed lighter course!

Thank you! The next chapter of CoMC is in the queue and nearing the top of the list so I think it's highly possible we're back to more dramatic fare before the day is over!

This stands alone just perfect. Snort .
Mind? I love. Your take on Severus is very original. He is morose and akward... but he is not as bitter as expected. Again, I salute you in another great fic and another great SS/HG pairing. And one of my favorite authors. Your writing style is so unique; almost poetic.I love you and Ms. Figg, both very different but original potrayals of SS/HG! And amazing works! Can't wait to read more!

Ah the good old days, before everything went to hell in a hand basket. Nice little cut scene, it's seems so long since they had this kind of moment in COMC! Speaking of which, any chance of an update? *poke* ;)

Poor Severus. He always tries to to get Miss Granger to "run the other way" because he doesn't want to risk disappointing anyone (especially HER) and suffer rejection- but he is always glad when he just gives up and goes along for the ride! She knows how to play him like a Stradivarius. She's clever that way!I like this little vignette!Beth
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
Thank you so much! She is doing her best to play him; that's for sure! I'm so glad you liked this little "excerpt/outtake" from CoMC!

oh, dear. i've never read "care of magical creatures" because by the time i started reading fanfiction, there were already so many chapters it seemed quite daunting. but after reading this example of your writing, i find myself reconsidering. just delightful the way you capture the dynamic between the two of them. thanks for this tasty little morsel.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
I would be delighted if this "tasty little morsel" lured you to my story! But even if it doesn't--thank you for letting me know that it works even if you haven't read CoMC. I wondered about that!Thank you for your wonderful review!

I'm not a project or a toy for you to--Of course not. You're my husband. You tell him, Hermione! Don't let him get away with too much Snape-iness.That was a fun outtake.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
She aways manages to take the wind out of his sails, doesn't she? LOL! Thank you!

I'm saving your other story for when it's completed (though I've had to spoil myself a little by admin'ing some chapters), so I'm not sure where this would have fit in either. I enjoy little outtakes from stories though. Kind of adds to them. :) Good writing.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
It would probably repeat a beat without furthuring the story, so that's why it didn't really fit, but it was fun to get to write it for the challenge. Thank you!

Snorts.."she'd been reading fucking books"..I love that line..take it either way and it's still great LOL.Super short, thank you:)
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
He does refer to "those" books the same way every time, and I still don't know which way he means it! LOL! Thank you.
Response from sweetlysevere (Reviewer)
Whichever way he means it, it's just so bang on for the character:)
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
Bang on. Indeed! (LOL!)

Oh dear, it really was not meant as a bad pun!Starting COMC later today. It's such a long one that I've been saving it up to read.
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
Oh, thank you! Let me know what you think! (It started out to be short but grew. What can I say?) And I loved the bad pun.

Poor Severus. He's never sure what his wife will do next. This is a great break from the angst of CoMC. Lovely
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
Ah yes, she does keep him on his toes. Well, not exactly on his toes, perhaps.... LOL! Thank you!

I totally agree with you! As much as I love "Care of Magical Creature", it is a bit angsty at the moment (I admit to be almost scared to read the next chapter in pure terror of what turn your story will take, I kling to my faith in you, but I am scared...:-)). This little glimpse on how well Severus and Hermione works together was absolutely brilliant:-))
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
Thank you! If there was anybody who would appreciate this return to happier days, it would be you! Continue to cling to hope. I do!

Very, very hot! I quite like that Severus was a little distraught by the idea of being married to a young Hermione, but I'm glad he got over that :D
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
Poor Sev. It's a constant struggle for him. Every time he thinks he's shored up his defenses... well, she keeps reading those books. (wink) Thank you!

I'm glad you worked in the original magical device -- helped cement the thing in the Potterverse and was pretty funny and easy to imagine as well. Looking forward to more COMC as well. ;) Thanks for the great stories!
Response from mia madwyn (Author of Stargazing)
Thanks. When I first wrote it there was no magical device. I'd forgotten all about it! Thus, this magical device was a bit of cheat, perhaps, since I figured out how to add one in a handful of words, but it was funny to me that he'd lifted it from Lucius!
