Albus can not be serious! How much does he expect from Severus? It looks like Hermione and Severus need someone to intervene, Madame Prince, Winky, Scampy anybody! Can't wait to find out about the power behind the Vinculum and what role the nexus will play. Great update.

I'd like to strangle Dumbledore, how could he not realize that Severus and Hermione would end up falling for each other?  meh... he should be beat to death with a stick.

This chapter made me want to cry.  I look forward to the next one...and pray for a happy ending.

Only the promise that we shall have the last two chapters before Halloween keeps me from dissolving in tears at this heartbreaking ending.  PLEASE update very, very soon! 

Nice to know that Hermione really got her chance to shine when she faced down Singer before having to play the invalid again.  And Dumbs' treatment of Severus after all he's been through is despicable.  Making him feel like he's some sort of pervert !  *teeth grinding*.  At least Voldy was honest with Snape.  Lovely touch, his getting rescued by baby-Fawkes.  *awww*  Hoping for a happy ending anyway for my favorite pair.  They've been through so much together and deserve a proper wedding and married happiness together.

this is Brill stuff!  Oh the irony that little Creevey's spell brings the one and only potions master down !  Won't go into an anti-DH rant, but this is how it should've gone down.  With Snape alive.  Period.

as always, another splendid chapter. i loved that you had the dark mark just disappear with voldemort's death. that's always how i've thought it should be: once he's gone, so's his magic. and i loved scampy in this chapter, especially how she could see disillusioned severus; it made me tear up when she took his hand to lead him to hermione. there are no words to express what i felt about dumbledore.

but - you've broken my heart right along with severus's in this chapter. and poor hermione will undoubtedly be wondering soon why he hasn't come to see her. i trust you will be putting all our hearts back together again soon!

Really good battle scene and Voldemort death scene.  I can't wait to have more interaction between Severus and Hermione - it will be the first time in this story that they interact without the curse being active.

This is a fantastic chapter!  Whew!  So much happened in this chapter, I hardly know where to start.Dumbledore is THE most manipulating bastard in the story.  One expected lying and duplicity from Voldemort, and I guess by now we should expect it from the twinkling Headmaster, as well.My heart was broken for Severus when Dumbledore told him he was to let Hermione go back to the life she had before the curse. And honorable sod that he is, Severus acquiesced.Hermione will know that he has been there when she notices that the figurine is missing. Severus has the Merlin & Nimüe, but Hermione still has the Nexus that Severus gave her... and surely she will remember what Madam Prince told her. She will use it to quash all of Dumbledore's (and anyone else's) pronouncements that she "get on with her life."I can't imagine that either Madam Prince or Scampy will take kindly to the Headmaster's interfering ways, and I hope they put him in his place when the opportunity presents itself.I hate for this story to end, but I am manic to read the remaining chapters. This is a magical story that has held me captive from the very beginning. I thank you with all my heart.Beth

Ok, I'll admit to being greedy, I wasn't ready for this chapter to end. How quickly Dumbledore forgets, but for Severus, HE would have been cursed to Hermione. Greater good sounds like a sorry excuse he uses all too often. I have faith things will work out soon for Hermione and Severus. Great chapter in a lovely story, can't wait for the next.

That Dumbledore is also causing issues. Hermione would heal much faster and better if she could just see and talk to Severus herself.

Dumbledore deserves to DIE!!!  Am so angry at him that I can't really process how much I loved the rest of this chapter!  He had better make sure Severus isn't punished for doing his bidding...that little issue is the only thing that can excuse his presence among the living at the moment.  Hope Hermione learns or guesses somehow what Dumbledore said to Severus, so that she doesn't believe he abandoned her on his own.  Looking forward to the next! 

Poor Severus. Poor Hermione. I hope the next two chapters sort out a happy ending for our pair, they deserve it. I have been reading this story for so long it's hard to think about it coming to a close. Bravo, once again Subversa.
