Spoilers for DH!!! Hermione has problems of her own, but she can't resist trying to track down the man she saw in a small cafe just down the street from her new flat. He couldn't possibly be Severus Snape, could he?

I'm a 26-year-old Accounts Payable manager for a construction company. Basically, I'm paid to write checks and intimidate the menfolk around here. I live with my boyfriend and our dog. I wasn't sucked into the HP fandom until just after the release of HBP. So, I'm a newbie compared to most of the fans out there. I've written in several other fandoms (under different pennames) - Anita Blake, Buffy, X-Files, etc.

I can't imagine that Snape will be showing up at that cafe any more so it'll be interesting to see how she tracks him down. As for Harry and Ron thinking Sanpe is dead they've obviously forgot his first year speach. :)

Harry is in denial, and Ron is just plain dense sometimes. Hermione will have a bit of help in tracking Snape down, but she'll do so in the next chapter.
I hate the epilogue too. Great job hope you update soon. Is Hermione crazy? Will the man ever return to the cafe? Dum, dum, dum! Love it!

Um... what DH epilogue? Oh, you mean that weird chapter that was inserted at the end of some books as a sick prank? Yeah, best ignored.Anyway, I'm enjoying your story very much and interested to see where it goes. Thanks for your work!

Denial is such a great place to live. I've spent many days there since I finished DH.
The epilogue sucked, (Hermione could never live happily ever after with someone like Ron.), so thank you for ignoring it. Great story, I can´t wait for the next chapter!

Thank you! I'm glad everyone has decided to ignore the epilogue with me. If we work hard enough, then maybe we can think it out of existence.

Well, I´ve pretty much thought the whole DH-book out of existence, so ignoring the epilogue is no problem for me. Lol.

I accept the epilogue - grudgingly - as part of canon, but I'm more than happy to do without it in the fanon universe! Anyway, I enjoyed this chapter, and am trusting that while Snape seems (understandably) to try and avoid that café for now, Hermione will meet up with him again soon.

Hermione will stumble across someone who can help her find Snape, and she'll pay him a visit very soon. I make no promises that the visit goes well, but we all know Hermione's persistence pays off in the end.
Thank you for ignoring the epilogue. I don't believe there are many fans out there who like it. At least there are very few that I have spoken with. Besides, we all know that Snape needs to end up with Hermione. He deserves to be happy and she deserves someone who can carry on a conversation that does not include Quidditch.

I briefly entertained the idea of tearing the epilogue out of my copy of DH, but I decided it would be so much better to just ignore its existence. ;-)
Ack! She let him get away! Well, I do hope they get a full pardon for him so that he won't be arrested when they find him. Does he have the ability to use wandless magic in your story? Poor guy, the one place he has for a refuge and now it's gone. Thanks for the new chapter!

There won't be any wandless magic in this fic, but you know I have to bring him back to the magical world in some way or another. Hermione's persistence will pay off in the end. Plus, she knows exactly where Snape's wand is.
I heartily agree with you about that horrid epilogue. I was downright furious about it. I love that you are ignoring it and contiuning in this vein. You've thoroughly piqued my interest. Adore the fic so far!

I'm cool with writing with the canon info from DH as long as I don't have to deal with the epilogue. It seriously screws up my happy endings.

That was one satisfying read (even if slightly abrupt by the end)! I really loved the way their friendship and relationship developed and Severus`s reaction when he knew of Hermione`s health condition. Thank you very much for such a wonderful story.

Thank you! I couldn't sleep at night if I hadn't written at least one story in which Sev returns to us.
the end? well I'm hoping for a sequel or 2!! Ya know, the Grangers' reactions, the wedding, the honeymoon, etc.

Thank you! I'm crap at sequels, but I'm not going to say that I won't write another story (unrelated) in the future. I've got the writing itch back, but I haven't come up with anything solid yet.
omg i freakin LOVED LOVED LOVED your story. it was bloody fantastic , so realistic, beautifully written, perfect in every way. it made tears form in my eyes, it was so good. you deserve a bloody medal for writing this story. one of the best sshg stories eva. only that i wish it was longer!
