Agoraphobia – The abnormal fear of being helpless in a situation from which escape may be difficult that is characterized initially by panic or anxiety and finally by avoidance of open or public places. As a result, severe suffers of agoraphobia may become confined to their homes, experiencing difficulty traveling from this “safe place.”

I am just a fan who likes to tell stories.I don't pretend to be an author and I may not even be very good at it, but I enjoy it. It gives me a break from real life.
Reviews for Agoraphobia
An interesting beginning, certainly. I find myself questioning the implied assumption in the story that the events in Harry's life are merely part of Hermione's fantasies about how she wishes things had happened. Is it possible that the newspaper articles have been faked? Since there are companies in the Muggle world which will create fake copies of newspapers, it seems plausible to imagine that there might be such a company in the Magical world. After all, she's receiving the articles...but why not the whole paper? I think it's very significant that there's a block of time of unspecified length apparently missing from her memory which includes the final battle and everything else leading up to her arrival at the apartment -- the result of an Obliviate, most likely. It's fairly obvious that Perdita is Hermione's daughter and that Severus is her father...but is she real, or is she also only part of Hermione's elaborate fantasies?

Wow, so many questions, none of which I can answer without giving away the story. I will tell you, most of them will be answered by chapter 3. Thank you for reading and reviewing.
Very intense and mysterious. I have a bad feeling about all this. Poor Hermione!Livvy

Thanks. I don't want to give to much away but it will get darker.
I read the first chapter of this years ago, and going through my account today I found it again and was hooked!
Would love to know how it ends, even though you probably abandoned it =(
Great story so far. Can't wait for more. Fanfic is like a drug for me :)

Does that make me a dealer? I hope to have you 'fix' ready soon.

Checking the reviews here, I'll try my best to also be pushy! You've got a genuine plotline, and your style pulled me into the story until I arrived here! Please do continue! There are two desperate people to save and an unborn as well. Please release them from the agony they're in!

I have no intention of leaving this story. RL is just in the way and it doesn't look like it will let up any time soon. I will not make promises about when it will be updated next. I will tell you that the next two chapters are both partially written. I just need time to finish and edit them. Thank you for reviewing and feel free to push me once in a while. I don't mind.
Response from Bettina (Reviewer)
I'm very happy to read that you've not given up. your situation sounds so familiar! Looking forward to the next chapters. Hm, but if you don't mind at all, then what does pushing help ?
Hi, that excellent "Random story" button brought me here, and I do believe I'm in for a long stay! What a genuine setup! A pity that you ticked Potions under Duress, but then I assume it brought you a good deal of readers ;-)
Response from silverdoe (Author of Agoraphobia)
Thank you. I placed this story in Potion Under Duress because there will be more to the relationship between Hermione and Snape.
OMG! Where to start???Okay, very surprised that the child is not Severus, so why WOULD he let her have Sevs child the first time... hrm... At first, I was very shocked when Draco said he killed Mot, but then the reason behind it... well, it was okay then.
I just LOVED the exchange between Draco and Lucius. “What did you do?”“I have no idea what you are talking about? What is wrong?” Lucius replied.“Harry Potter and a team of Aurors have just come through the gates. I ask you again, what did you do?”Excellent. I love the role reversal that they have, and how Lucius is having a hard time... adjusting. And when Draco calls his father by his first name--omg... If this wasn't such a pyschologically deep story, I would be laughing my arse off, because I can really see Draco doing that and the look on Lucius face! hahahah. I wish this chapter would have been longer, because I could read it all night. Looking foward to more!

I just read through your first ten chapters and am enjoying your story very much. Your plot build up has good layering. It really makes the reader want to know more -- to know what you know. I look forward to the healing process for both Hermione and Severus as well as the disintegration of Lucius. I am worried that the damage to both Hermione and Severus may to too great to ever truely be healed, but I am sure you will handle it well whatever comes. Thanks for posting, JoAnne
Response from silverdoe (Author of Agoraphobia)
It will be hard to be completely healed from that amount of damage. They will have some healing. I am glad you liked it. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Great update! It looks like Lucius might just finally get his! This is an appropriately named chapter, I worry if Lucius is the father of Hermione's baby that the apple won't fall far from the tree. However, thank goodness it seems that Darco's apple managed to roll out from under his family tree.A very exciting update I hope we won't have to wait to long for the next.

I just starteed reading this story today. I am so interested and intrigued. I haven't read a story like this since "Objects of Desire". Its sometimes hard to get through, but your concept is very interesting and handled extremely well. I sincerely thank you for this piece and look foreward to following this to completion. ~

It seems Lucius' little world is beginning to crumble. Good. I suspect the baby Hermione now carries is his. Though I do not condone it as a normal practice I almost hope the baby aborts spontaneously. Well done Irish

Draco should take advantage of his father leaving without permission to have him placed in Azkaban. The man is completely raving. The visual of his hair coming undone and throwing the desk ... I can picture this normally imposing and aloof man turning into a maniacal brute. This is what happens when the control spring has been wound too tight for too long and pops!
The logical selection for father of HG’s current pregnancy would be the Lucius … though there’s no telling what he might have done or had done to Hermione as a form of punishment. The waiting for new chapters is murder!

Oh yes, I just love to see the deranged Lucius having to watch all his crazy projects falling like a house of cards in a winter storm. While I am sure that he wont come quietly, I sure hope they will catch him alive so he will have to endure the humiliation of being exposed. I most also compliment you on your Draco, I really liked him: Not only because he killed Mot, though that action alone should grant him an Order of Merlin, first class, but because he isn't fooled by his father, he made actions to protect his mother, child and wife, all without Lucius noticing (shows also how deeply Lucius madness goes). Yes, I really liked him and I hope you will let us see more of him and a bit of the friendship he and Harry has built through the years. Not because it is a major part of the plot, but because with all the madness and horror this story holds, such things give me hope that everything will be ok, and that they didn't figth for nothing, something good actually happens. Perdita being Hermione and Severus daugther comes as no surprise, but I am sad that the child she is carrying now probably belongs to Lucius. Sad because of the trauma this will cause Hermione, how can she handle that knowlegde? I am also sad for the child, what a faith, your father is a crazy maniac who raped your mother and you are a living proof of the horrors she went through. Again, an intence and well written chapter, you are doing a wonderful job with this story and I will look forward to read more!!!!

This chapter gave me a few chills. I can't wait till Draco finds out just what his father has been up to. Hopefully he will have at least some vengeance on his father. I doubt if Draco cares about Hermione, however I'm sure Severus and his mother are a totally different kettle of fish.
Response from silverdoe (Author of Agoraphobia)
Draco cares deeply about his family. he may surprise you. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Oh good.So . . . Hermione's gaoler is apparently Rodolphus or Lucius? i don't think it's the Dark Lord. And he's coerced Severus into it? Interesting!

I've got it! Severus is Peri's dad, but he's also a victim. It would appear as though he is more aware, if not fully aware, of what is being done to him. This is what I have gathered from this chapter. I hope that's what you intended. Looking forward to the next installment of a wonderfully unfolding tale.
Response from silverdoe (Author of Agoraphobia)
10 points to you. That is what I had intended. Thank you for reviewing :)

I am at a lost for words. I did not expect the end... so, someone is using SS and HG... I get it... I think! lol..But all the things he does to her--I love that you didn't shy away from explaining it, very well done. And kill his wife? Hmmm... now, I'm starting to think about that.I can't wait for more!

Well, at least it isn't Snape-Turned-Evil, but he is likely to cop the blame. Is it Lucius, or some other character your devious mind has chosen? I will wait with bated breath!
Response from silverdoe (Author of Agoraphobia)
it almost was Evil-Snape. But the man was so unhappy at that, I decided to change the story. I am glad you like it.
