A short story about a make-over Muggle style and the effects of close proximity on the mental stability of Hermione and Severus. Disregards all main character death, other than Voldemort and anyone who died prior to his first defeat.

I have had a long absence, but there are new chapters up and more on the way. New Midnight Visitor (trying desperately to finish) and another short fic (Touch).

I think Mama was the furthest thing from Severus' mind. He is creating his own personal hell. One he will need loads of deflating draught to get through. :D
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
I wonder what the side-effects are from overuse of deflating draught? He really does seem to create problems for himself, doesn't he? It's like he can't seem to connect the consequences of an action before he's knee-deep in it!Thanks for your thoughts! And the rating !
Bibliovore!!! I love it. What a great word The Latin passive endings... I'd need to be Obliviated to forget those, too.Great read - thanks so much! More? Soon?
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Bibliovore: It's one of my favorites! I'm glad I could work it into the story somewhere. Now they're stuck in YOUR head, too. Ha. I like to share the pain. I suppose it's my own fault for making up a tune to go with them...Glad you like! Thanks for the review.I will post the next one as soon as I can get Mr Snarkypants to tell me what he's thinking. He's being tight-lipped right now. As he will when I'm operating under the gun, the bastard.

Oh, you didn't put them in there. I just finished a 6-week intensive intermediate Latin class, so they were firmly planted there already. That was the language requirement for my MA in English, which I should finish in May!!!
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Congrats! I haven't taken Latin since my junior year in high school and it's still in there, rattling around.I still catch myself trying to put words into their respective declensions, when they're not even Latin. What ever happened to arbitrarily assigning genders to inanimate objects?
Response from Gardengirl (Reviewer)
Or the indescribable experience of discovering that grammatical gender and physical gender don't match? Like agricola, nauta, poeta... all feminine (or at least feminine-looking) nouns that are masculine occupations (or were, to the Romans).I took 3 years of Latin in High School as well (my 25th reunion is next month!) and when I went back to Latin this past spring, I was AMAZED what all was still in there!
I think that his mother was the furthest thing from his mind as his eyes took in Hermione's bare back. Let's face it, his reaction to her during their first shower together was a tell-tale sign that he feels something, if only on a subconscious level. Other men may have an instictual physical reaction like that and be able to truthfully claim that it was "nothing," but our Severus has much more control than that. He wants her, she wants him. The big question now is how long before they are willing to admit it to themselves (and each other) and DO something about it??Love your characterizations, BTW. Very "in character."

I can only say that if he was thinking of his mom at all, it was more with the bittersweet ache of knowing that she never would have filled out those robes so well or looked so happy in them. When will they finally get to it? Heck, I don't know for sure. I have three or four 'first kiss' scenarios in my head and they're all vying for attention. All of them have prerequisites before they can happen. All of them are kinda hot... But they're both very stubborn people, so whatever they end up doing, it'll be on their own terms and I have very little say in the matter when they put their foot down about something. This is why they are so 'in character', although Hermione's being just a little compliant about giving up her identity for a year for my tastes. And Snape? Too... nice. Heh. Although some days not nice enough. Thanks so much for your thoughts and reactions! It's fun to try to figure out what the Snape is thinking. Sometimes what you guys come up with is even better than what I had in mind.
Oh wow... brilliant update and cliche's or not I still really enjoyed it! And as for his reaction? A raging hard on, perhaps? Or... maybe he fell in love, just a bit?
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
I am thinking more along the lines of the second one... yes just a little bit of "lourve" (That's love for those who can't bring themselves to say the word)I will try to update this soon! Thank you for your review!
Severus is an artist, is he not? Whether it's potions, or spying, or helping Hermione to hide in plain site, he is a master.Hermione's erotic dream was well written, and her moans disturbing her protector's sleep have turned the next three weeks into such sweet torture for Severus. This keeps getting better and better.Beth

I'm thrilled you like it so far! Next stop is shopping, but I need to do a little research before I write the next chapter.

Her eyes blazed with a tiny rebellion and it called to something dark in him. His hand moved out almost before he could check it, and he knew that he would have to be more careful with this one in the future. She knew that his given name had power when she uttered it, but he was not about to start this game. Not with her, not any time soon. He flexed his fingers but made no comment. "...not any time soon..." is the operative phrase here. I think there is much more in store for their relationship down the line. Good! Good!I'm really enjoying your story and look forward to all the chapters to come.Beth

This has been a challenging write for me. I'm really happy you like the story so far. Severus is a very complicated man and there's a lot about where I want to take this that I don't know. I was lucky that inspiration hit with the force of lightning during my most recent dye-sessions, hopefully my next chapter won't disappoint!

Shower time with somebody else should always be erotic, don't you think?

I belive in your plan! I do! I do! When will you post the next chapter?
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
I'll write as often as I can, what with work and wedding plans. Sometimes I stay up all night just to finish a single chapter!I will try to make it soon.
Great story so far - you have a wonderful flair for atmosphere. I'm looking forward to reading more!

Thanks so much! I really appreciate the review.
this is great so far. i love their interactions you write in a perfect amount of humor and sexual tension. i am also glad that we will get to see a lot of just the two of them alone; great plot! anyways, i can't wait to see where you take this.
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Thank you! Humor usually isn't my thing, so I'm glad to have gotten some right. Thanks for your great review.
