A short story about a make-over Muggle style and the effects of close proximity on the mental stability of Hermione and Severus. Disregards all main character death, other than Voldemort and anyone who died prior to his first defeat.

I have had a long absence, but there are new chapters up and more on the way. New Midnight Visitor (trying desperately to finish) and another short fic (Touch).
Reviews for How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince
I hope more is coming soon, that was great so far!
Hmm, maybe I should have my hubby help me with dying my hair next time I do it.I just wish I had the magically-enhanced shower :D
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
You really should, especially since it's likely you'll get some after.I want a magically enhanced shower, too. Preferrably one that's like a monsoon from the ceiling.
You would think he would have thought of what might happen if they were both wearing skimpy clothing in the shower!
Just found this fic and am really enjoying it! An intriguing premise for sure.
I really am enjoying this. And I can't wait to see what her hair looks like!
I just had to reread this chapter. It really is lovely. It makes me wonder very much how they're going to deal with Draco and how long it was to be before Sev lets Olivia know of his attraction to her. I do hope all is well with you.
Uh oh. I hope it wasn't a lack of reviews that made you stop. This story has been on my mind lately, and I wanted to remind you that there are people waiting to know what happens.
You go, Draco. Make Severus see that he cares for her and can't live without her! (Yes, that's where my wicked mind goes with this little development.)
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Then great minds think alike.(I feel bad for Draco sometimes, being used as a shameless plot device with the intent of pairing Hermione and Severus off.)
I'm thinking he forgot he even had a mother when he saw her. Lovely reactions and dance. These two need to indulge in some Legilimency. Everyone else can see they're crazy about each other! Dunderheads.
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
So right you are!!! ... teehee... dunderheads....ah, you made me smile. Thanks!
I love that Draco won't take 'No' for an answer, so to speak. There is nothing like a little jealousy to make a catalyst. Plus, it's fun, sometimes, to watch Hermione get annoyed with him and put him in his place. Though, I don't think pureblood Olivia will do that. I vote for 'Olivia' when she's in anyone else's company but Severus's. Cheers!
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Well, it's not like he hears 'No' very often. And you are impeccably correct with your suggestion that she must be Olivia with everyone else but Sev, something that I hope furthers the development of their fledgeling relationship.Great review! Thanks so much!
Glad to see you put in some input on Severus' reaction to doing the buttons on his mother's robes (and the background)! Looks like Hermione / Olivia's got a lovely admirer in Draco and will this push Severus to act sooner rather than later?
Good job, can't wait for more!
The turquoise sounds divine! :)
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
It shall be shiny turquoise....
I want to read more! Lol. Can't wait to read his reaction! Really good so far:)
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Really dig the name, there. More is coming... Thanks for the review!
Your imagery and use of senses in this is just beautiful. And I love the tension between them. I'm looking forward to when it spills over and becomes evident to them both.
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Omigosh!@Thank you so much! I am a big fan of the tension, too. Stay tuned, the next chapter is in the hands of my beta.
All right, exploitation! Great start. I've been wanting to click on this story for a bit now. Glad I finally did.
This is such an entertaining story. Using a ritualized transformation of Hermione's exterior to signify the transition between childhood and adulthood, regardless of age? Check. Unexplained and involuntary physical attraction on both sides? Check. Forced confinement and cooperations outside of the traditional teacher/student relationship? Check. Participation in Victorian-era romantic activities? Check!Hilarious! :-)
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
YAY you got it!You even got the secret word! "ritualized"Another one of my faves. Thanks for the review!!!!
Can't wait to see how shopping goes in Diagon Alley!I think it was a bit obvious his mother was the furthest thing from his mind when he saw her in those robes and the dancing was a nice suprise too!
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Shopping gave me a bit of trouble, because, let's face it, no woman really ENJOYS being measured for clothes... but I had fun writing the next chapter.Hope you like what's coming... it will be queued soon, I think :0)Thanks for your review!
If you want a little correction on your italian, just let me knowThe first frase is a little off.Maybe something like 'Non vedo motivo per non andare oggi' o'E' possibile non si sia motivo per non andare oggi?'But maybe I don't understand what the frase is supposed to mean ;)Nice story anyway
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
It was supposed to mean:"I can see no reason why not."or "I can see no reason why it should not be."I forget what I put in babelfish allready... haha
Response from Angenieta (Reviewer)
In that case I would go for :'Non vedo motivo perche' no'
don't stop! please don't stop, I need to know what happens next!
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Ok. I won't stop. I'm working on what happens next... so stay tuned
When I read the french portion, I thought - must have used a translator. when I came to the Italian portion, I realized, I've really let that go. In any case if I remember correctly, saying "I need to get new clothes" is more like: "Je besoin aller obtiens les vêtement nouveau. I was always taught clothing to be vetement.
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
I did mention the internet translations of languages I don't speak in the author's note...The only one I did have any schooling in was Latin. Somehow, I don't think that rudimentary Mandarin and Spanish would feature in a Euro-centric magical education, so I went with what felt right for the story.Very laughable, I know. But I think it works for a crash-course result.I hope you don't mind if I snag the correct translation and put it in place of my poor, poor attempt... do you? Thanks for the input. I always appreciate a helping hand from those who know more about something than I do!
Love it! More more more please
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Thanks! I'll do my best :-)
I just breesed thought the six chapters. Delightful! I'll be looking for updates.
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Thanks!Next chapter is in production!
Hmm. Don't think his mother featured at all. :)
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Are you sure?(Evil chuckle)Umm, I guess that kinda came out wrong. Thanks for the comment, though!
I love it so far and can't wait to see where you take it. Quite frankly I think his mother was the furthest thing from his mind. :)
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
Thank you! And as far as thinking about his mum, I think it will only be a comparison where Hermione comes out the definite winner. Let's face it, he has some 'Mommy' issues and who can blame him? But I wish to explore his scars a tiny bit... Heehee I know I pretty much demanded at wandpoint, but thank you for the review!
Love it. Just divine. Please update more often. When will we see resolution of UST?
Response from Ravensblood (Author of How Hermione Granger became Olivia Prince)
I'm horrible, I know. I'll try to wrap it up before I start school.I like UST... but, soon? I think?Glad you love! Thanks for the review!
