this was a FABULOUS story. really clever, the way you integrated the music with the story throughout. as i'm sure we all did, i loved the image of snape at her door with his robe open, etc. (damn students for interrupting!) and the recurring theme of the ravenclaws bopping their heads to the music. (i did wonder why particularly the ravenclaws?) thoroughly delightful, and a lovely ending. but - i read this story at work since it's slow this morning, and fyi, it's very difficult to listen to "werewolves of london" without howling along. at least for me! ; )

Thanks so much for your fabulous review!! I am so glad you mentioned the Ravenclaws bopping their heads. That was one of my favorite ideas. I had a group of friends, in high school, who went to a magnet school and they were all brilliant and LOVED their music. So I guess I just chose that group because Ravenclaws always remind me of my emo, punk, genius friends! (fyi...I did NOT go to a magnet school!!) XD Oh, yes I always have to howl along with that! Hope I didn't get you into trouble at work! LOL
I have never laughed so hard as the mental image of Snape walking through the halls to Stayin' Alive. I was giggling for a good 10 minutes after!! I love your choice of songs! And finally, someone else who knows who Depeche Mode is! (my favorite band :D ) Definitely original - great idea! Thanks for your hard work!

Ah, HG 'shakes her booty' (guess that dates me, huh?) Nice beginning!FYI: Your author note says the story is eleven chapters long, but it is marked complete at five chapters.

Yeah, I amended that in a later chapter. My beta and I discussed condensing the chapters since they were already pretty short. I will go back and amend that first A/N too. Thanks for reminding me! And thanks for the review!!

I love that the teachers don't bother supervising the Hogsmeade visits b/c they are belly up to the bar!

I'd love to know what she was listening to. Sex Pistols? Metalica? N*Sync? Spice Girls? Garbage? Soundtrack to Grease? Of course, you can't really head-bang to Go Greased Lightning, can you?Anyway, it's a great start. I can't wait to see where this goes.

Thanks a lot! The song that inspired this was actually Santana's (featuring Chad Kroeger from Nickelback) Into the Night. I imagine you could head bang to just about anything if you tried hard enough! :) Thanks so much for the review!!! The music will be interactive from here on out!

I'm glad your beta reader (Charmed Force) kept you writing. This should be a very interesting story. Could you do a favor. I love music so when Hermoine is playing her music could you tell us what song it is? I know this isn't a songfic but I have gigabits of music and like to play the song while I'm reading. Just a stupid suggestion. Thanks

Oh yes, that is the Severus we love and adore:-) Snarky, impolite and with defense mechanism anyone could envy him (or not:-)). Hopefully it won't take Hermione to long to shake his world upside down. Update again soon!

Short and to the point. I'm curious what she was listening to, because frankly, the Portal theme started playing just as I started reading this fic. Ironically, the song is called Still Alive. Good start, let's see what you can give us next chapter.
