I don't know if I ever reviewed this, but I was re-reading it today on my lunch hour, and just wanted to say thanks for brightening my day.  This is simply charming.

Thank you for this witty, hilarious, and all in all delightful story. I cannot believe I had entirely missed this gem of humour and lightheartedness.
The association between billowing robes and multitude of puddings will stay with me for a while :D

P.S.: I'll let you know that I've just had to give my face a massage to stop the grin I'd been sporting for too long :)

Oh, adorable! I love what they call a man 'with a little meat on his bones!' They're soft and hard at the same time, like a teddy bear. They can protect you and feel good cuddling you. As long as he's got wide shoulders to go with the weight - to balance out his frame, mmmm....heavenly!

Just read this for the SSHG Food Pr0n quiz.  Loved it!

Swoon!Mangy Siamese=perfect epithet! Whee!Men SHOULD be rather like pillows - what am I to snuggle up to otherwise??

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

Exactly - we need a little of the teddy-bear in our men, don't we?And thanks for the lovely review!

"Those robes really did hide a multitude of sins. Or rather, a multitude of puddings."You made me laugh out loud -- I'm still laughing. This was real "feel good" story. I like pudding and happy endings!Beth

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

Gotcha!And thank you!

Truly one perfect Valentine!  I particularly love the recitation of the differing scents of the professors.  Your writing is delicious...and now I must go get something chocolate (since I have no Love Handled Potions Master at hand).  Thanks for the tasty treat!

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

You're welcome - and thank you!

Oh, he enjoys eating and enjoyed having similar meals with her. What a shame, really, that she felt she needed to have a perfect body to be attractive. Or, I could give her the benefit of the doubt and think that Hermione just felt uncomfortable heavier and didn't want the expense of a new larger-sized wardrobe. I do think that enjoying the varied flavors of food can be one of the many joys in life. I am glad Hermione accepted Severus just the way he is.

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

My feeling was that she was just more comfortable with less flab, that's all.  Just as he was with more.

"She had never seen Severus pass the butter to anyone ever before."  This made me laugh.  It so prefectly described Severus Snape, in my opinion. Well done!

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

Thanks!

I think my favorite part in this story is "If love wasn't in the air, then she was a mangy Siamese. She had never seen Severus pass the butter to anyone ever before. It was a bit churlish of Miss Granger to turn it down, but then she probably didn't read passion into dairy produce. It was different for cats."   Although 'As far as the rest of the staff were concerned, arguing over the correct interpretation of an ancient Sumerian potions text while eating from the same dessert bowl until their spoons clashed, pretty much counted as full-on hanky-panky,' is really excellent too.

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

Thanks!

Awww...cute story. Great job.

Now...I need to find myself some billowing robes and perhaps a chocolate truffle (or two).

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

I could do with a little billow, too...Thanks for the review!

Remus smelled like dog biscuits... oh yuck!

Nothing like a shared dessert passion, bet they would do chocolate body paint justice!

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

I think that's in the next act....

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

Naughty girl!  How can you think of depriving Severus of his cake?

Response from ladyofthemasque (Reviewer)

...I'm on a diet?  And it's virtual cake calories, the only kind I'm supposed to have?~Lotm

Oh, I feel all warm and fuzzy inside after reading this!  Being perilously close to 40 myself, I know all too well about the expanding effects of aging and good food.  Despite everything, my husband and I still think we're each as wonderful as when we still had those younger nicer bodies...  And I loved the line about cats and dairy products!  We've got three, and you simply can't leave butter unattended around them.

Response from richardgloucester (Author of One Perfect Valentine)

Thank you!  And yes, I know all about expansion, and cats and butter!
