Plot? What plot? Hermione's annoyed at Ron and Severus offers an opportunity for some seriously pleasurable payback.

Reviews for Naughty Professor
Oh Buzzy you got me! I have never heard of "yoni" before!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Its from the Hindi, used in tantric texts. I like the implication that Severus is ... knowledgable.
...One more thing. I know it's listed as completed, but I don't suppose you'd be willing to write some more? I mean, there is so much more to see! Ron's reaction, for instance. And there's Hermione taking Sev at his word that she may spread all the juicy detail of their sex as far and as wide as she likes. And of course, what fantasy she might have in return...
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
I don't have any ideas for a sequel at the moment, though you never know when inspiration may strike. I'm thrilled that you would want to see more, that's very flattering.
Oh, a_bees! This was brilliant. It was sexy and intelligent - the story, I mean. I loved your take on truth as seen from Sev's point of view. I loved the instant play of possible scenarios in Hermione's mind when she realizes she's been overheard with Ron. I love Ron as a foil here - I don't dislike Ron, mind, but it's a very real take on one of the possibilities. Sev was suave and sexy, (and deliciously calculating), and Hermione was perfect. The sex was beautiful. Thank you so much for writing!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Thank you so much for reviewing, and with such a lovely, detailed review. BTW, I go by Buzzy around here.
Response from sareliz (Reviewer)
My apologies, Buzzy, but thank you for letting me know. I look forward to reading whatever comes up next for you.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Please don't apologize. It's always nice to meet new people around here, especially ones who write such nice reviews.
Response from sareliz (Reviewer)
It's nice to meet you, as well. I'm Sarey.I've been lurking for a while, but as I'm considering closing down my lj (it's just too weird for me to have so many people from work reading it, I mean, in a sense I don't mind if they know, but then they come up to me and talk about my journal entries and my fanfic, like we're close and intimate friends, and it is at that moment that I realize that's not an intimacy I actually desire.) Anyway, I'm considering closing down my lj, and so I'm casting about for an interesting archive to put my fic on. I really like TPP, and so I've decided to participate a bit more in the community here.Of course, I need to get a new beta, first, but all things in their moment shall occur.I also wanted to say that I particularly like your writing because it is wickedly intelligent, even while it is sexy, angsting and romantic. To be certian, TPP maintains a very high level of writing on the archive, and as a reader their efforts are deeply appreciated. Even so, there are some stories that manage to incorporate little slivers (or large pie chunks) of the beauty and truth of reality into the fiction, and that just makes them even more desirable. So, thanks.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Hi Sarey! And aren't you sweet!TPP is my favorite archive these days for a number of reasons, not least of which is the ability to chat like this in the comment streams.I'm sorry to hear LJ has gotten wierd for you. You might want to consider opening a different account and not sharing it with the people you work with. There are quite a few of us who keep our LJs separate from RL.
Response from sareliz (Reviewer)
Buzzy,I spent quite a bit of time considering this exact point: do I keep my online life seperate from my real life, some of which has to occur online in my profession. My profession is one that is very public with a high standard for integrity and decorum. Now, while decorum for me can be all across the board (I'm really trying to cut down on the swearing, for instance), my integrity I take with me wherever I go, online, offline, alone home with my cats, you name it. In the end of this time of considering (a matter of five years), I decided that I could not compartmentalize myself and maintain my integrity at the same time. What I have learned since then is that there is a difference between the compartmentalization of a life and levels of relationship: intimate, personal, confidential, public, and civic, to name one system of consideration. I've come to understand that in my work sphere, I have public and sometimes confidential relationships (even though there are a great number of people who try to have personal relationships with me), and that it is okay to have some of my personal relationships in different online communities. I see it as different from compartmentalizing, but I still feel like I need to do a bunch of shuffling to make my reality properly mirror my theory. I need to make sure that the public parts of my life are so, and the personal parts of my life remain so. I think my problem with the lj is that the boundary between public and personal was very blurry for me.When I consider that the reason I got an lj to begin with was because that was where all the good fic was (at the time), and the reason I maintained an lj was because it was an easy and painless way to publish my fic, I realize that the first reason has disolved and the second reason no longer holds much water. I much prefer to go through TPP for both of those things. And I too, do like the ability to chat in the comment streams, which really was the absolute clincher for me staying with lj for so long - the conversations we would end up having in the comment streams would be fantastic.::smiles:: So, thanks for letting me work that out on paper, er, so to speak. I find I think best that way.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Levels of relationship is a good way of putting it. My professional colleagues aren't in this level, though a few family and close RL friends are. In the same way that my professional colleagues don't know about other aspects of my personal life.
And I thoroughly enjoyed it ... again! It's awfully nice to think that Snape would make the most of the opportunity, while also being chivalrous enough to boost her foundering self-confidence.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
He's quite the gentleman, this Severus! Well, not entirely, especially after that bit with him talking dirty. ;DThanks for the review and the beta. *smooches you*
Lovely take on the detention cliché!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
I've always hated that cliche, so I wanted to find some way to twist it around to suit me. I'm glad you liked my take.
haha, that was cute. i love Ron being completely unable to talk. so priceless.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Thank you. Ron has such a strong tendency to go silent when he's in the wrong, I imagine that if he was forced to talk he'd be pretty inarticulate.
A nice little PWP. And was that a Gone With The Wind allusion? ;-)
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Thank you.Not a conscious one. Where?
Response from wsanders (Reviewer)
Severus overhearing the little scene between Hermione and Ron in the library unbeknownst to the two. I can easily see Severus with Clark Gable's expressions during that scene. It's a fav of mine, and I guess my mind just decided to jump to conclusions.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Now that you mention it, yes. It wasn't a conscious thought, but I've seen that film enough times that I'm sure my subconscious was drawing on it. Nice catch!
I cannot believe Ron even remotely entertained the notion that she would take him back. Dolt. The "dressed for a date" in her school uniform--Ron's reaction was hilarious. The detention scenario was hot. Somehow, I don't think certain former boyfriends were as imaginative.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Given that Ron's idea of how to initiate make-up sex when he's been caught cheating is to grab her boobs, no, I don't think he was a terribly imaginative lover. All the more reason for Hermione to keep hanging around with Severus!
Very, very nice.A little PWP is good for the soul, and you wrote it exceptionally well.I would have liked to have seen them have noisy sex at Grimmauld Place and then emerge blithely to the reactions. Who knows? Maybe a sequel?
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
That would have been fun! Though it would have disturbed people besides Ron, and I don't think of either Hermione or Severus as the sort of people who would flaunt their private lives that way.I'm so pleased that you enjoyed it.
Response from mia madwyn (Reviewer)
Oh, I beg to differ. Severus made it plain that he didn't mind if she shared the details with "anyone" which made me think he was looking forward to people knowing. I'm thinking Hermione isn't the only one who had reason to have people understand that she was more than she seemed. In other words, I think your setup actually requires a sequel, especially since we really haven't seen Ron's reaction at all.Truly.You did it to yourself.Sequel.(ahem)Soon.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Hmm. Interesting point. I had Severus preening when it became known he was doing Hermione in a previous story and he certainly does give her permission to talk about it, but I still can't see either of them wanting an audience, even an aural one. Knowing is different from listening. It's a little embarrassing to think the setup requires anything at all. It's a PWP, the setup is supposed to be nothing more than an excuse to get them into bed.I'll think about it. Someday.*ducks*
Response from mia madwyn (Reviewer)
I've often thought that the term PWP is deceptive. To me if there's emotional commitment from the reader (rather than just sexual titillation) it immediately transcends the idea of PWP. That's just me as a newbie to fanfic, of course. But I've read many stories that are called PWP that I found to be compelling and emotionally intense that, while they have an extremely high content of sex, I have trouble calling PWP. But that's jut me.Do what you're comfortable with. Just know that you have a setup for a sequel if you choose to use it!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
I've read true PWPs, where there's really nothing to it but the sex. As you say, if the writer puts in enough setup to engage the reader with the characters, then it becomes something more. Bambu's Spoils of War is a good example. She considers it a PWP, but there is so much more to it.And I take your 'encouragement' towards a sequel as a compliment, and a very lovely one too.
I think you did an excellent job with your first PWP, and it was nice to see that old cliche turned on its head.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Cliches need to be shaken up every once in a while. I'm glad you enjoyed my take on this one.
Yum. Please, please tell me there will be a sequel?
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Thank you.No plans at the moment, but you never know.
*fans self* Very nice!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Thank you, m'dear.
Revenge on Ron! I love these types of fics. Detention fics are THE best in my opinion. This one was SWEET!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
Ron's monumental capacity to screw things up is always good for a laugh. I'm very glad you enjoyed it. Thank you for reviewing.
Just left a review elsewhere, but two's better than one, right? Lovely, hawt, and perfect! Quote of the day, "shagging like wild nifflers"
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Naughty Professor)
I'll never complain about a two-fer! I have a bad feeling I've heard the niffler line somewhere before, but I can't think where, and it felt right in the story. Thanks for both reviews.

Delightfully done!

Hot damn!I need to go splash some cold water on myself after that one!

Now that's a serious compliment! Thank you, my dear.
