Hannah Abbott sneezes in Flourish and Blotts, setting off a rippling butterfly effect that somehow leads to people thinking Voldemort's returned.
A response based on a mini-challenge by CharmedForce at Potter Place. Write a story based on the Butterfly Effect (i.e. one butterfly could have a far-reaching ripple effect on subsequent events. Does the flap of a butterfly’s wings in Brazil set off a tornado in Texas?).

I love to write. A dreamer, a creator and filled with wonder, imagination and life. Sometimes I get lost in the other worlds I've read and in some I create. It's all good, I’m in good company.
“Imagination does not become great until human beings, given the courage and the strength, use it to create.”― Maria Montessori
“Our imagination flies -- we are its shadow on the earth.”― Vladimir Nabokov
“Imagination is everything. It is the preview of life's coming attractions.”― Albert Einstein
“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.” ― Carl Sagan

I liked the sorting hat attempting to balance the children and the idea that Hermione & Snape are living together while she finishes school. !!!!

Teehehe - yes the new 'equal balance rules' that disregards blood status. Ah, as if in a perfect world. LOLI didn't really imply that they were living together, only give special permission to sneak out to Hogsmeade on weekends rather than sneak around the castle -still gives a whole new outlook on weekends! Thank you for the reveiw.

Very enjoyable! I just adore it when Severus makes it out alive despite J.K.R.'s decision.I also think it is funny how it was decided that Voldermort was comming back from the dead, I was very strongly reminded of a children's game that I played once. A large group of kids sit in a circle one whispers a 'secret' that is shared from person to person until the last person was told the 'secret'. That person would repeat it out loud and compare it to the original secret. You be surprised at how the story changed from on person to the next.

Thank you very much. I'm with you! I perfer Snape to be alive - he's more fun to play with that way!!Funny that you make a connecton to the game. We called it 'Telephone.' I didn't think of the simularities as I was writing this. Thank you for the reveiw. You gave me a giggle remembering that game...

Dito - he's more fun alive.
LOL poor man will never scratch his arm again!

Just post war paranoid fear run amuck... Poor guy. I suppose he never realized just how carefully he's observed by the first, second and thrid years! Thank you for the review.
I like this. Of course, I really want to hear the back story, but I will imagine it to my liking.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Charmed Force Of A Butterfly)
I hinted at it. Hermione used a Time-Turner to go back and rescue Severus from the shack, reviving him and helping him heal, and they ended up falling for each other - obviously. Hermione opted to return to school to finish her N.E.W.T.s and Severus took the Deputy Headmaster's job since Minerva is going to retire in a few years (4). However, Minerva is insisting that Severus and Hermione keep things 'cool' in the castle but allows them to slip into Hogsmeade on Friday, and Saturday night through sunday morning, although she's having second thoughts about the arrangemant.Hermione and Severus are trying to improve the Wolfsbane potion and one of the experiments made the potion turn volatile and Severus burnt his left arm - which is not reacting well to his scar... See. It's simple.
Cuu-uute! Very nicely done. You ran with it and made it your own with your original firsties and a somewhat improper student/teacher relationship.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Charmed Force Of A Butterfly)
Thank you. Yes, I thought a few firsties and a few young enough to know would be fun to mix in - but the student/teacher = she is 18, and this is post war, and why shouldn't I have?
Response from pookah (Reviewer)
Oh, I didn't mean to sound ugly about the student/teacher relationship! This is fan fiction and I know the difference between fiction and life. I'm sorry if I offended you, I didn't mean to! But even in universities (in my experience, I can't speak for all of them) it's not considered proper for a professor to date a student, even if he isn't her professor. And I was implying NO reason you shouldn't write what you wish. I have read several student/teacher relationship stories, some with great pleasure.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Charmed Force Of A Butterfly)
Not taken that way - I actually didn't wish to offend you by having you think she was underage or - you know! Sorry!
Response from pookah (Reviewer)
Good! I am glad you weren't offended. I have enjoyed several of your stories, (and I just looked yuou up and you have written a bunch I hadn't seen yet! Gotta look at them.) I am so far behind in my fan fiction reading! Real life will do that to you. Paying the bills and pilling the dog and such still have to take precedence to reading fan fiction. Thanks for writing your excellent tales!
I love it. And it was very clever from you to manage to include Hermione as well while beginning with Hannanh Abbot.

Thank you. I really enjoyed typing this, and it just sprung to life as I went along. I'm glad you liked it!
Nice, you've really fulfilled the challenge!gab

Thank you very much.
i liked what you did with this. interesting to see your vision of the sorting hat 'integrating' slytherin. very entertaining.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Charmed Force Of A Butterfly)
Thank you very much. I figured it was time that hat got straightened out!
Hahaha... yay! You even started with Hannah and ended with the Dark Lord. I love that you introduced all the ickle firsties... and got Hermione in there. I'd love to serve detention under Severus! XD Wonderfully done! I really love it.
Response from beaweasley2 (Author of The Charmed Force Of A Butterfly)
Well that's where the prompt started - so did I. Then little Clarence and his friends - all got scared cuz Severus's arm is bothering him! Made sense to me! I'm glad you liked this.
I don't quite understand the butterfly effect. Is it similar to the water-pool effect? Information is dropped in full to someone, who spreads it out to someone else, who in turn does the same, spreading it around the entire pool. As the information is spread, it becomes distorted, much like the ripples in the water when a stone is dropped. Very confusing, utterly hilarious and extremely smart. Brilliant!

, the Butterfly Effect is that something as small and insignificent as a sneeze or butterfly flapping it's wings can cause a chain reaction of air flow that eventually leads to a hurricane half way across the globe. (In this case I used rumors!) This is just a chain of reactions that esculate into a huge problem - all bacause when Hannah sneezed, she knocked a book of the shelf behind her... I'm glad you enjoyed it, even if it was confusing.
The butterfly effect is quite a fascinating subject. Funny use of it here.

Thank you very much.
Wow, the rumor mill is churning things out at record speed.

Teehehe Yes, what did you expect for Hogwarts. "So naturally - the whole school knows" DD
