I stumbled onto the Potterverse in the summer of 2007, the weekend that DH came out, which was also the weekend I had a screening of the latest film. I reread HBP after starting DH and realizing it had been awhile, so, by the end of that weekend, I was overdosed on Harry Potter . . . and needed a fix! I stumbled onto SS/HG fics. These turned out to be far and away my favorite of these writings, in part because they're almost all wickedly erotic, funny as hell, deeply moving, and a vindication of intelligence as the ultimate aphrodisiac!
In RL I am an actor and a writer.
Reviews for Speak Now
So beautifully and deviously written. ;) I am glad that HG would not have to end up with Ron. Thank you!
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
I love JKR, but I wouldn't do that to Hermione! Thanks for reading & reviewing.
Wow, just wow. Your characterisation is spot on and the passage about her face is just so touching.
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
Thank you so much--I'm very glad you were touched. This was quite satisfying to write, and it's nice to know that it communicated. Thank you for reviewing!
You had me fooled! I was so afraid she was the bride and Severus was just going to let her walk off with stupid immature Ron!
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
I for one would never let her do that! Even if Ron had gotten some sense, some maturity, and some emotional depth. So glad I was able to fool you! Thanks for reviewing!
:) having enjoyed "dating a heroine" (I hope that was the title...*embarassed*) of course i have to go and read your other stories. I don't like this one quite as much...but it is still fantastic! I like your style! and thank you for not having hermione make a scene! this is so....realistic for this pairing. I enjoy that a lot.
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
Thanks very much. I was going for something much more lyrical and introspective here, and trying both to tell it completely from his perspective and to keep from revealing whose wedding it was until the end. So, not as much chance for outright humor or the kind of give and take that "Dating a Heroine" had (yes, you got the title right--thank you!).I really appreciate your review!
Very enjoyable! I was so relieved when I realised that Hermione wasn't the bride. *off to read the sequel*
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
You and me both! (And the two of them, as well, I suppose!) Thank you so much for reviewing!
Why are men such procrastinators? He waits till literally the last possible moment before he has his epiphany. I like how you made it vague which one of them said "wait"
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
Ah, well, I think he's perhaps unsure of what her reaction might be to said epiphany. I mean, we know better, but she might have said, "Ewwww!"Thank you so much for reviewing!
What a glorious story! Severus's musings pulled my heartstrings in so many directions...I think he may have braided my heart! (I'm so sappy, )
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
Oh, I'm sappier than you are...and your review gives me heart braids, too! THANK YOU!!
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)

At first I was convinced that she was NOT the bride, but then you manage to slip a huge doubt into my mind. I love the full of promises end.
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
And I love it when I can take a reader down the garden path....Full of promises, indeed! And now there is a follow-up, called "One Very Good Thing," to explore what happened next!Thank you so much for reviewing!
Very well written. You drew me in, made me nervous and then I breathed a sigh of relief when I realised Hermione wasn't the bride. Well done.
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
You and me both! And probably Severus, as well! And now you can read what happened next ("One Very Good Thing"). Thank you for reviewing!
Clever....So where's the rest of it?~Lotm
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
See "One Very Good Thing." Thank you so much for reviewing!!
Good one shot - enjoyed it. I always like a fic with Hermione and Severus. Good writing style and good composition.
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
Thank you--I do, too! And thank you for reviewing--it's so nice to have one's writing appreciated!
Very lovely -- and very clever! -- story. At first, I thought what I assume you wanted me to think...that Hermione was the one who was getting married and that Severus would be forced to either disrupt the wedding or to lose her to Ron. That was a very neat little twist at the end -- a sign of a good writer.
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
It worked! Thank you so much!
i enjoyed this very much. i love your writing style, and i liked your devious little twist, that gave us a reprieve when it seemed all hope was lost. i agree it would be fun to see what happens next!
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
You all convinced me that it would, indeed, be fun to see what happens next, so it's now up ("One Very Good Thing"). Thank you so much for reviewing, and sorry I didn't answer this sooner. I do try to respond to every review, as it means so much to me to hear what readers think!
What a hoot! I loved the great twist. Just as I'm trying to figure out how Hermione's going to get out of the wedding... She doesn't have to. It would be fun to see your vision of what would happen next. Good job!
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
Thanks, Prof! And sorry I didn't respond sooner--for some reason, I wasn't notified that there were reviews, and I just love hearing how wonderful people who've read something react to it (especially when I hear that I was able to take you on a ride!).And of course you know by now that there is, in fact, a vision of what happened next up on TPP now. You all convinced me that I had to write it!
This was very well-written, but I must admit I am confused. Who exactly was it getting married? At first, naturally, I thought Severus and Hermione, but quickly realized that wasn't true. Then I thought Ron and Hermione, but you mentioned Hermione sitting in the front row, so that doesn't make sense either. Did you leave it ambiguous on purpose?
Response from Elise_Wanderer (Author of Speak Now)
I was playing with you, I must admit, letting you think that it was Hermione marrying Ron, but of course I couldn't do that to any of these wonderful characters (despite what it may suggest in canon). Ron is marrying...someone. Someone no doubt worthy of his delightful personality and sweetness and everything-out-there-on-the-surface emotional range (greater than a teaspoon these days, one hopes, but still not quite enough for our Hermione). And Hermione is free to appreciate someone deeper, someone who is sitting further back and just now realizing what a treasure she is.And to find out what happens next, please read "One Very Good Thing," in which we discover how that deeper someone came to be at this particular wedding in the first place and what he is going to do about his sudden realization of Hermione's wonderfulness. Thanks for reading and reviewing!
