The end of the war should have been a time for happily-ever-afters. For Severus Snape, it was the beginning of the greatest torment of all. He had survived the meddling of a master manipulator and the machinations of a mad megalomaniac, only to find himself subjected to the whims of an annoying know-it-all.

Reviews for Snapewatch
"She closed the cabinet, went back to the bedroom, slipped off her knickers and jumper, climbed into bed, and fell asleep. Smiling."Ah, yes! The sleep of the contented and the righteous. If she got through to him on that then he is definitely trainable. Things are going to be just fine. Thanks for a lovely ending. I guess this really is the end. Sighs.

It is the end for us, but these versions of Hermione and Severus are living happily ever after in storyland. Does that help? Thanks for reviewing.
Lovely story!I really enjoyed your writing style and plot. Your characterization of post-war Severus was incredibly believable! SS would not be happy to be alive...Thanks so much for sharing this!I would gladly read an epiloque...;)
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
Thanks for you generous review!I'm not completely convinced that SS would not want to survive the war, but I do think it's a definite possibility. This story explores that possibility.I'm very pleased to say that I can grant your wish - a fifth (and really final chapter) was posted this morning. Enjoy.
Snotter? Oh please, must you torture the reader as well as Snape? This IS an April Fool's story, right?
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
Nope, not an April Fool's story - it was originally written for the winter SS/HG fic exchange. Though it is meant to be a comedy, not torture.
I'm certainly not complaining to read more of this!A very satisfying end to a lovely tale. Very like Hermione to think of drawing up a chart to figure out where to take a blossoming relationship! And an original take on the way to a girl's heart.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
I'm so glad you found it satisfying! This version of Severus couldn't possibly cuddle after sex or verbalize his feelings, at least not at this point in time, but he has his own little way of letting her know.
OMG!Snotter, and the badges! I must not read any more chapters of this tale while members of my family are sleeping! I can't wait for Snape to SEE someone wearing a Badge! This is hysterical! Wonderful story!
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
I suspect the badges just give him one more reason not to leave his house, which was probably not Hermione's intent. I'm glad you're enjoying it.

Awesome! And it fits in there just like it had been there all along.Hee!:-) Third after Neville Longbottom is my favorite line, too.

I hadn't thought of badges when I first wrote it, but it adds a whole other layer of humiliation. Can't you just picture it? Wizards and Witches proudly sporting their badges as they stroll down Diagon Alley. Of course there would be more contributors than they'd expected. As new batches of badges were issued, the first editions would become collectors items. There would be badge swaps. It's huge, I tell you, huuuuuuge!
Response from pokeystar (Reviewer)
Seriously, at that generator, you can buy the seal on a mug or a key chain, etc.
If there wasn't a pesky licensing issue...
Although, still am considering buying a few as friend gifts.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
I'll wait till there's a full line at CafePress. *snicker*

Hermione is really quite adept at torturing Snape, isn't she?
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
She's a clever girl, and she knows just how to push his buttons. Being Severus, he has lots of them!

Interesting chapter - I cannot imagine the look on Severus's face when he placed behind Longbottom. He just cannot help being anti-social and snarky - can he. Hopefully though somewhere down deep, he appreciates all they are doing for him even though he rants and raves about it
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
My good friend Pokeystar made me an icon of that moment! You can see it if you look on my LJ. As to whether Severus appreciates any of it, well, you'll just have to wait and see. ;D
Thanks so much for reviewing.

this chapter caused several loud guffaws. among my favorites: third - after neville! the snotter clause! the SSRF! (does it go by the acronym?) you, my dear, are brilliant, and i am very much looking forward to watching how this develops.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
Thank you so much! THird after Neville is one of my favorite lines in this chapter; it's Hermione at her evil best. I'd had "snotter" in the back of my mind ever since I first encountered the concept of Snarry - why should it be a mix of first and last names? It fit right into this story.

i really appreciate that you managed to inject so much humor into what by rights could have been a rather serious subject - saving snape's life. but it's so funny, and yet everyone is very true to their characters and not ridiculous. i love your little details, like hermione's hands stuck to her head at odd angles. (i can relate - i think my hands usually make it about that far before getting totally stuck.) i look forward to more of this delightful story. *adds to favorites*

Me too! With the Hermione hair, that is. My beta thought that bit was far-fetched, but on humid days, that happens to me.
I'm so glad you found it funny. The request specifically said humor, but it's tricky to do that on the day of the battle when there's been so much destruction.
Response from kittylefish (Reviewer)
tricky indeed, but you managed it splendidly.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
*blushes* Thank you.
Very funny in a dark way - go back with time-turner and save Severus only to have him threaten you because you are saving his life - poor guy
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
It had to be a bit dark, it is a day of destruction, after all, but I'm glad you found it funny anyway - "funny in a dark way" is exactly what I was going for.
I like this very much. I can see Snape making Hermione MIserable as he convalesces, and then, long after trying to call in favours at inopportune times, complaining that she forced him to live this life and therefore owes him whatever he wants her to do for him.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
Interesting idea! You'll have to wait a bit to see whether that's the way I took it. But not very long.
Thanks for reviewing.
I really enjoyed this one in the Exchange, so I'm very glad to see it here! I still love Hermione threatening the Sorting Hat and Snape's resentment at being denied his death.
Response from a_bees_buzz (Author of Snapewatch)
I've never liked that hat, and I took great pleasure in having her damage it a bit. It's nice to hear that someone else enjoyed that moment. (Over at my LJ, Pokeystar made me a lovely icon for it.)
Thanks for reviewing.

Oh, I quite agree about the Sorting Hat hate! When Voldemort began to burn it in DH, I was thinking 'Well, I guess even Voldemort can do good things sometimes..."

Oh, I like the premise of this. It could really be fun.
