Severus Snape survives Nagini’s venomous bite (or does he?) and yet seemingly drops off the face of the earth. The story opens twenty-two years after the defeat of Voldemort and covers the quest of Hermione Granger as she struggles to uncover the truth behind her recurring nightmares of Snape’s “death”.
The first chapter opens with Hermione having a nightmare about Severus Snape’s “death”. Disquieted, she resolves to delve into the past so as to understand why she is haunted by the mental visions of his “death”.

Loved the first chapter and how Ron is portraited - never liked the Ron/Hermione pairing since I think they are as opposite and unrelated as can be. Love the set-up of the dream and what she is doing in her life now - very good 1st chapter.

Ah, I was afraid that the story would get too heavy with all the plot-within-plots, but it seems to be doing reasonably all right. We shall see what happens next shortly.

This is delightful, my dear! I reached the end of each chapter this evening and silently begged that there would be an arrow to indicate that there was more to read. How did I not notice this story before?(I use "my dear" with a degree of confidence; your writing style makes me reasonably sure of your identity. So far, I am absolutly ENCHANTED! And I can TOTALLY see Ron being a pig-headed jerk like this. "Why do you keep buying books? They don't keep me happy." No, but they do keep Hermoine sane. *lol* Though if she did hex him into next week, I don't think there's a jury in the world that would convict her!I'm really, really enjoying this!!

Ron is culled from the observation, so there are people like him in real life. Besides, I wanted to torture him in this story. The whole time I was writing, he was demanding that I make him the hero. This is my revenge on him! lol. Thank you for reading and reviewing.

Loved the latest chapter and I am pretty sure that the German pupil is Severus somehow - my questions are how, why, when and where -- not asking much am I - cannot wait for the rest of the story to fill the in the blanks - love it
