Reviews for Doing Time with Hermione Granger
You are too brilliant. I love the way you ended it and the whole Authors Notes. I look forward to your next story, hope its soon.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Thanks! I'll try to rev up the imagination once more. Trouble is, there are so many SS/HG fics out there that it's hard to think of an idea that someone else hasn't done already!

Hm, I think your Author's Note was longer than the epilogue. <Grins>. I enjoyed it. I never understood how Ron and Hermione wound up together. <Scratches head>.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
note to self: check length of author's notes in future. Thanks for that! And thanks for reading and reviewing.
I ROFL every time I read this chapter. What a difficult way to start -- going to the wrong house! That's hilarious!
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
I couldn't make it easy for either of them, now could I? As Jo has said, Harry, Ron and Hermione eventually make great strides in changing the wizarding world. I'd just like to think that it was a painful process for everyone. Builds solidarity between former Potions Masters and know-it-alls...
It's great that he's able to give emotional guidance, as well as educational guidance. That she isn't giving up, despite her difficulties. Very nice, indeed!
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
And that's a first: Snape giving emotional guidance to anyone. Thanks, girlfriend!
If it wasn’t one Riddle, it was another. There are several lines and phrases in this chapter that I really like, but this is the best.I love the friendship that Albus and Lily show to Severus. That they're clearing up things there, so he has a chance of living here.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Absolutely. Unless he can lose the guilt and the anger, he's no better off than he was before. Thanks!
Once again very well done. I am interested to see what comes next. Severus and Hermione have now spent at least part of two years together. I think she is growing on him. Irish
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
The good thing about something that's slow-growing is that it creeps up on you, and by the time it's noticeable the damage has already been done! Yes, Snape is smitten, although he certainly doesn't know it yet. Thanks for reading!
Response from irishredlass (Reviewer)
Yes, slow growing items can be a good thing especially when you realize it is fate accompli. The only problem is that mold is also slow growing and cause damage (snicker). Sorry I just could not resist. I really do love Severus. I wish I could have my own Severus doll! Irish
heh-heh! the wrong house - that's going to be a story oft-repeated in years to come. I'm glad he went with her on those visits; I think their joint appearance made a good impression on their visitees, plus it was a great chance for them to spend time together. looking forward to the next "year"!
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Thanks! Next 'year' will be out this weekend sometime.
You've got me feeling bad for Ron, and I know he isn't going to end up with Hermione. I like your Snape, by the way.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Thanks. Snape may not be nasty any longer, but he'll always have a caustic wit. And Ron will be all right in the end.

Intriguing idea, Hermione's program... and Snape's cooperation is interesting as well. Let's see where it will get them. The scene with Davy and his mother was really funny!
Author's Response: Bless her heart, Hermione's trying her best to change wizarding society, but it's a slow go. She'll have more difficulties in the next year as well. Thanks for reading.
they think werewolves are bad then what are the Daveys in this world? lol I would rather have a werewolf. Or snarky Potion Master. Either one.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
I agree. Good thing Davey was a Muggle, or Hermione would have hexed him senseless. And I'll take the snarky Potions Master too!
I just loved the MoM mixup with the addresses, too true to life!
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Change never comes easily, does it? Thanks for reading!
I am surprised you wrapped up to the exams so quickly. It makes me wonder what is to come? Good start. Irish
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Another reader came up with the word I'd been looking for: each chapter is a 'snapshot' of that year. It's going to take a little while before Severus and Hermione get down to brass tacks.
well done! It's kinda sad if Ron isn't left with the least bit of positive attributes, but this story is a comedy, so it fits just fine.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Hermione is a fine wine; Ron is beer - not that there's anything wrong with beer, but it has its place (and together with fine wine is NOT it). Thanks for reading!
she's come to her senses? About time!
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Took her long enough, didn't it?
A great picnic indeed! Ron hasn't learned to understand Hermione, and why am I not surprised? However, Hermione hasn't learned much either, if already her second project fails so utterly. Is the Ministry moving her from one department to another only to do damage control in each of them? She isn't productive at all, but they cannot exactly fire a war hero. She'd do much better with some academic pursuit! Will Severus suggest it? As for life skills in total, I'm afraid, Hermione doesn't score better than Ron. But I'm more positive for her to realise it than for him. Severus has softened up, now that his conscience is clear. However, a kiss is probably not what he was prepared for. Let me see how he's handling it...
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Being a war hero does not equal instant wisdom and maturity, regardless what all the other fanfics say!
aaah, THAT's a very canon-like way of bringing him back!
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
I thought so, too! And just like Ebenezer Scrooge, he's got a whole lot more livin' to do. Thanks for reading!
Loved this line: The woman was wearing the smug look of someone who is pulling strings that I haven’t tripped over yet.
Severus seems much more relaxed himself. And I think this: As I suspected, Hermione Granger had little actual need of a tutor. I merely directed the learning. is an accurate portrayal of Hermione. She probably would progress further and faster without other students around to slow her down or Professors 'dumbing down' the curriculm to fit a broader range of people. If she had been taught that way all along though, she'd probably have little-to-no social skills...like when she entered Hogwarts and it took her two months and a troll attack to make her first friends.
Liking this so far! Now what happens to Severus after her NEWTs?
Looking forward to more!
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Thanks for your kind words. And Severus will be back, not to worry. More is on the way.
Ah, war and it's aftermath. Very good descriptions. See you next chapter.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Thanks. I really wanted to show that even though Voldy is gone, not everything is grand. More soon.

Well done, very well done! You write a very plausibly changed Snape, as well as a plausibly changed Hermione. With both of them, it feels and reads really natural, how the war has affected them, and how things are proceeding now... and the story is enfolding nicey. I'm eager to read on.
Author's Response: Thanks! I suspect that some people will think Snape is OOC, but my contention is that he has changed in some respects. The sarcastic wit, however, will remain.
Wow what a chapter. That was great. Your a pro.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it.
"The woman was wearing the smug look of someone who is pulling strings that I haven’t tripped over yet."absolutely brilliant phrasing!----I like this, and the more I read of it the more I liked it. I look forward to more. It's a new excuse to get our favourite couple together. and whether they end up sweethearts or simply pals, I do love a sail on the good ship SS/HG
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Not to worry - they'll be more than simply pals. Glad you enjoyed it!
This is a fascinating premise, and I like it quite a bit so far.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Thanks. Glad you're enjoying it!
Well, that was sweet.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Thanks for reading.
I can't wait to read more! I hope that something can be done for poor Mrs Granger eventually.
Response from Kailin (Author of Doing Time with Hermione Granger)
Not to worry. Mrs. Granger will get the help she needs. Thanks for reading!
