Reviews for Play, Outcast, Play
This came to a satisfying close;-)
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
I feel honoured that you feel this way. It was the first story I completed, even though I had to take a little break after reading HBP.
Thank you for reviewing!
So this is when we turn to SS/HG eh?
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
*nods*
I like the relationship you're building between Hermione and Draco--and Lucius' end. I do have a soft spot for Draco--but none for his father the flogger of house-elves so I found his end satisfying.
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
I'm with you, I have a soft spot for Draco and cannot stand his father the racist. Thank you for your review!
Ah, music magic? Interesting concept, I'm curious to see how it'll play out.
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
Thank you! Yes, music magic. I find that a very important part of the magical arts. :-)
*sigh*
This is a really great story!
I read it before (without realizing it's yours and without leaving a review - shame on me!) and I like it even more now.
Snape is still Snape and neither too mean nor some romance novel hero. You showed realistically how it is for someone to be a victim of violence and how important it is to accept and let go. It's not easy but it has to be done in order to live on. You gave us a unique way to get rid of ole Voldi and a truly 'awwww' ending without it becoming too much. It was really beautiful and I'm surely going to read it again.
till soon,
Shal
Ah, what a lovely ending. I have enjoyed this tale very much. =o)
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! It was one of my early works, but I'm still fond of it, too. Though Lucius isn't quite so fond of it...*pats the shiny stars*
SQUEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!! He loves her! This was a very awesome chapter! Ahem - okay, um, sorry about the exclamation abuse, lol. See you in the next chapter. =o)
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
*grins* Of course he loves her.So glad you like it! I'll even forgive you for the exclam abuse!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *snickers*
AHHHHHHhhhhhh! How can you leave it there?? I was going to wait until tomorrow to read the next chapter, but now I amnot so sure I can wait. *Grumble* But that is why you are sooo good, lol.
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
LOL. You know how it goes with us slow writers... Aren't you glad you waited until it was finished before you started reading? :PThanks, love!
Sigh, poor Draco and poor Hermione. I think I have pegged who asaulted her on her holiday. This is very interesting, and now, I am going to have to see where it goes.Hmmm
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
Aw, thank you! *glomps*
I knew I had read this before but I didn't realise that I had reviewed before, though. After reading the other reviews, I stand by what I said. Much love,
OMG! Pregnant! This is not a dream. The bastard or one of his buddies knocked her up. It's like a living hell for her. Ah, Severus sat at her bedside the whole time. How sweet. I know how she feels. Such low self worth. This is a truely magical chapter.
OMG! That sick bastard. Oh poor Hermione, she must feel so alone. At least Severus didn't make her feel worst, He is right though about Draco not being his father. Its good that she now have a friend who in a way knows what she has been through. That is so cool she is willing to help Draco with Pansy. She is such a good friend. Oh no, the bastard just loves to boost. Oh thats just bloody brilliant! Take that, Lucius. Oh now a cliffie.
I wish I heard the call of the unicorn, too. Yea, Hermione, good choice in not picking Ronnikins for a boyfriend. I bet it was a sight to see, mother and child. She sure is a gifted witch. I think its cool she was welling to help Draco even after all he has done and said to her. And Snape, the trust he has put into her by allowing her to take care of Draco, amazing. The way you wrote it makes me think I can almost hear the healing music. Oh no that is horrible. Damn Lucius for killing them. Oh my, now who is going to heal her? It's too bad Draco looks so much like his father. I love your fics.
I've read this a few times now and I love it just as much as I did the first time.
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
I always love it when readers say such kind words. Thank you very much; you made my day! :D
Lovely story, thanks for writing it:)
I liked the way that you had Lucius in her fevered state telling her to let go of the baby, and the fact that he seemed as though he regretted what he did to her. Interesting twist having Poppy under the imperious curse and the fact that she realized it after Hermione told her that Lucius was the father of the baby. I liked the fact that Severus seems to be taking charge over the war effort since it's obvious that Dumbledore is slipping. The fact that no one realized that Hermione's parents were murdered was proof in itself. I liked the way you had Draco get Severus to open up about his feelings for Hermione, and that she knows how he feels.
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
Thank you for your wonderful reviews! They were so much inspiration. I hope you'll like the final chapter.
The way that Lucius died was very fitting to his character. I was glad to see that he was in his final moments sorry for what he put Draco through. I am very curious as to what happened to Hermione and Severus.
This chapter once again showed how separated she is from the rest of the students. Her "friends" didn't even realize that something had happened to her. I like the way that Severus found out about her parents and put two and two together. I was glad to see that Hermione was able to go back to see Draco and that Severus helped her understand that Draco is not Lucius.
I like the way that you have characterized Hermione. She's her own person through the different ways that you've made her unique, and yet you've shown the caring nature that she has. Her growing friendship with Draco has been done realistically (even his impulsive decision not to take the Dark Mark was something I can see happening). I am looking forward to reading about what happened to her during the summer and how it affects her relationship with Draco as well as Severus.
Hermione's healing powers were a starting point that I think helped show not only how caring a person Hermione is, but the fact that she can show compassion for someone who has never been anything but cruel to her.
Awww, lovely!

I'm going to have lunch now with a silly smile on my face, that last piece was so romantic. If people ask questions, I'm going blame you! :P
Response from karelia (Author of Play, Outcast, Play)
So, did people ask??? *iz curiouz* LOLThanks for your luvverly review!
Response from sunny33 (Reviewer)
No, apparently walking around with a silly smile is not much different from my usual lunchtime behaviour. They are used to me practising dance steps in the reception area, creating wacky challenge lists for the morning tea room, setting up staff baking competitions and playing music (wonder whose?) on my computer. All very professional I'm sure. :)

I love the way she healed Lucius. Confronting all those victims before he died gave his soul peace.

Ah, you've seen it the same way I did when I wrote it. Thank you!

I can imagine the beauty of the music she created. Hopefully she will find Draco's room a safe harbour, once she can see him and Lucius as different people again.

As I said before: powerful. You have ensnared me. I am hopelessly hooked and awaiting the next chapter.
This is a powerful chapter. Her amnesia and her remembrance had me captivated. When she walked into Draco's room, looking forward to seeing him, I almost felt nauseous with the anticipation. (Doesn't sound like it maybe, but that's a good thing.) The returning memory was done perfectly.
Good, really good story!
