Meeting a hag can be a life-altering experience. At least, it was for Severus.

Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
*blush* thank you.
This is an amazing, original story. I could have sworn I reviewed it yesterday, but maybe I dreamed that I did, or maybe I had a computer-connection problem.Wow! Great story!
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
I think you've reviewed it on Ashwinder, but I don't really mind being reviewed twice ;)
Thank you very much.
Oh, lovely. After this DH seems a bit more bearable. :)
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
Thank you. That is a lovely review.
I read this based on Droxy's recommendation. I'm glad I did. What a sweet story! Very well-written. I like how you tied in all of JKR's elements into your story. Good job!
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
Droxy's rec' was a very ice surprise. I'm glad you like my story. Thank you for reading and leaving a review.
This is certainly one way I could actually believe Hermione tolerating Ron as a lover/husband for 19 years!
Interesting idea, and I did like the bit with the hag in the woods. A rather happy fate for Snape (not so much for Ron, but to be honest, I'd rather have Severus live on than Ron).
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
I can't picture Hermione and Ron together either.
Thank you.
I never thought I'd say this but... Poor Ron! Being evicted from his own body. :D
I liked this story, it was a very original twist. I kept expecting Hermione or Harry or both or someone to see through him but it never came. It's really sort of bittersweet, though, isn't it. Severus can be ever so happy, but he still only got what he's got because he was shifted into Ron's body and because Hermione believes him to be Ron. If she knew what had happened or if she ever found out, everything might change. That's kind of tragic. He can only have his wish fulfilled if he's prepared live the rest of his life pretending to be another man.
I also particularly like the description of the hag and how she went through the forest. That was really chilling. That entire scenario actually with the forest and the snow and then the hag coming towards him.
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
As Snape said in HBP, he's a consumate actor, and a Slytherin to boot, ready to make the better with all kind of tricky situations.
As for Hermione, she believes him to be Ron, but an improved Ron, not realising he isn't who he seems to be.
I like the part with the hag too. Actually, I think it's the best part, the best written part of the story.
Thanks for reading.
What a very interesting out look. I'm impressed that you 'killed off' Ron and 'reserected' Severus. I love how he was able to go on with his life.
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
I a way, it's like that, though I'm not very sure about Ron. Thanks for reading.

That was such a great way to perpetuate SS/HG and weave it into DH! Feel a little bad for Ron, but he always seems to get shafted in SS/HG fics, so nothing new there! Great job
Author's Response: Thank you. I feel bad for Ron too, but there really were no other way to deal with his soul.
This was a great explanation of why Hermione actually tolerated Ron for so long. But red hair and freckles? Poor Severus! (not that there is anything wrong with red hair and freckles, but can you imagine Snapes reaction?)Thanks for the great reading!
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
Snape is an opportunist, so he makes do with the situation, and who knows, perhaps he would have liked red hair and freckles.
Thanks for reading.
Response from GeminiScorp (Reviewer)
Very true, that might have been his wish that fateful night and that was why he ended up in Ron's body!
Loved it. What a great alternative perspective to that horrible epilogue!
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
Thank you. I was aiming for that.
I admire the way you kept closely to the story line in DH but still managed to have Severus and Hermione wind up together. It also provides a good explanation of why she managed to stand "Ron" for 19 years.
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
I can't see another way either. I've had doubts about them as a couple before DH, but really, DH made it clear to me that they were ill-suited.
Response from FruGal (Reviewer)
It does seem a shame, though, to give up that magnificent nose, those black eyes and that greasy hair for red hair and freckles.
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
That's the catch ;)
Wow. This is a very inventive fix! It explains the R/Hr relationship far better than canon does. A very satisfying read.
So many funny lines, I can't pick a favourite...
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
Pick them all!
To explain things better than canon does: that is a very great compliment. Thank you very much.
Oh, wow. Will we ever figure out what happened to Ron? That was something. I enjoyed it quite a bit.
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
Severus is still working on it, but the answers are very hard to come across.
Thank you.
That, I believe, is the best and most original way of making the epilogue Snape friendly that I expect to come across. Brilliant! And thank you for it!
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
I'm so very glad you liked my take on it. *blush*
Okay, I got to ask, where did Ron spirit go? Are the both of them cohabitating one body or did Ron go where Snape should have gone?
Other than that, it was a very interesting story.
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
Honestly, I don't know. This is so unprecedented... Severus has research the matter, but I'm not sure he'll find out before he dies. But one thing is sure: Ron has left only his memories behind; his spirit is not there anymore.
Thank you.
This explains how Hermione ended up with "Ron", like so many, I was never comfortable Hermione and Ron as a couple, so this soothes my soul. Wherever Ron is, I'm sure he's safe and sound.
Ahah!! I found this again! SQUEE. You ahve no ida how brill this is..of to pimp
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
I don't know what to say. I feel very flattered and honoured b this second review of yours. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Response from droxy (Reviewer)
I went nuts when I could not locate it. But I found it! I faved it. I was having access problems. Really nicely meshes with canon. The absolutley best I've seen for DH blending. It is very original.
What a great twist! While I do feel a bit bad for Ron, I think Hermione is likely much happier this way than with the "real" Ron. Nicely done.
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
Thank you very much. I think we think alike (great minds and all that).
I think that this is SUCH an incredibly interesting idea. It nicely weaves canon and fanon. I was particularly impressed by the use of actual lines from DH.I couldn't help but have the fate of Ron's soul in the back of my mind during the course of the story. You wrote:All right, Ginny had been more directly threatened, but there was no doubt in Severus’s mind that Hermione would have been the Death Eater’s next victim, so he felt like he owed something to Molly. What was with him that made Hermione always come to the forefront of his thoughts? Did he feel Weasley’s emotions as well?and“I’ll come with you,” Hermione said. She took his hand in hers under the benevolent gaze of the past headmasters’ portraits. Ron’s part in him rejoiced in the spontaneous gesture, whereas Severus’s part questioned why it felt good to be shown affection by the know-it-all.I kept wondering, "Did their souls sort of melt together?" and "Did Ron get trapped in Snape's body and there is only some remnant of Ron left in his body that is affecting the emotions/reactions of Snape?" And, one cannot forget the possibility of untrustworthy narration so there was always the chance that Snape is lying to us and to himself and blaming things on Ron, rather than his own emotions. The narrator always refers to Ron as "Weasley" - so the narrator is, to me, coming from a "Snape-sympathetic" (for lack of a better term) perspective.I don't think that Ron died and Snape's soul seamlessly took over his body, however. I had considered that a possibility until I read the paragraph wherein Snape takes over Ron's body again.I really, really liked this story. I wish - an annoying wish so feel free to ignore it - that it was a multi-chaptered fic. I think it would've been super interesting to see the development of all this fleshed-out into multiple chapters. Not to mention, it would've perhaps afforded us the chance to see Ron's side of it all.But I really enjoyed this fic. I'm enjoying all of your fics that I'm reading as a matter of fact.
Response from septentrion (Author of A Sweet For A Wish)
That was such a nice and constructive review. I wish I could write a review like yours :)When I wrote this, I decided that I didn't 't know where Ron's soul was. It is Severus' POV, even if not told in the 1st person. However, you made very valid points. When we, authors, write a story, we have our noses so close to it that we miss such obvious stuff.I wish I had been able to write it as a multi-chaptered fic, but I was under a dead-line, and I'm not sure I have enough talent to develop the storyline. It was a nice thing to say, though. Thanks so much. I'm thrilled you like my humble writings.
