Loved your story... sorry for not writing a review sooner =P
I think this was the first story that I read and don't need Hermione and Severus to end up together (of course I hoped for it and loved your ending). The way you portrayed them was very very real, I mean... when I imagine Severus in a relationship (even though I love him!!!) I always end up with an angsty story, because it's hard to picture another ending for such a suffering character.
But the way you told Hermione's journey was touching and deep and... absolutely heartbreaking =)
Loved Ron too and Rose =D
well what else can I say... beautiful story, Very glad to have found it...

Intriguing and well-written. It's interesting to see a story that seems to be fully DH-compliant, including that epilogue, and is doing so in an entirely believable way.

Thank you! The epilogue is actually what inspired this story, and I was very excited at the prospect of weaving HG/SS into the DH canon. The prospect of working with an adult Rose was especially exciting for me, and I am very pleased that she has been well received. This is an amazing beginning to what I'm sure will be an amazing SS/HG fic! There are a few out there that have tried to follow DH, but this is the only one I've decided to follow closely. I can't wait to hear how you defeated Nagini's 'fatal' wound.

Harry's feelings are especially conflicted, as he holds a great deal of respect and admiration for Snape but at the same time is put out over his relationship with Hermione. Harry and Snape's "canon" relationship changed dramatically with the events in DH, so that's been an interesting connection for me to explore in this chapter. I'm so pleased you're enjoying the story thus far, m'dear!

I haven't really followed a story like this from it's birth in a while. Most of the ones I've been reading state in the beginning that it's already completed. I've been looking for notes like that because I've been disappointed with people abandoning a story so I don't like to get let down...but this one is so interesting it's worth the risk, I love mysteries! ~Brena
Oh, such a good chapter. I am totally enthralled by your fic! I have loved these two starting chapters immensely. I love your characterization of Rose and I enjoy her POV, but it was also nice to get Harry's and Hermione's in this chapter. I can't wait for more!

The veritaserum variant idea is really clever. You did a good job of setting up conflicting ideas for the reader - first thinking that perhaps Hermione left France because Snape backed out on the affair, then the hints that Hermione is avoiding Snape because he wanted to continue an affair and she didn't. It deepens the mystery. I'm looking forward to more.

What a wonderful story - absolutely believable. I find it interesting that Severus doesn't verbally profess his love until under the threat of Ron's letter. He's been pushed into a corner and he finally has to admit to something he had vigorously denied for years. Wonder if some resentment comes with what I think is an unwanted admission. And I wonder if he hadn't seen the letter, would he have actually have said the words . . . And I agree - it is far too little, far too late.Thanks for this marvelous read!

What a fabulous way of connected Claire to Rose! I think it's brilliant. I can definitely see her parents in Claire's personality. I love that the two got on so well. She has mentioned one of her uncles is sick, and with the meeting cancelled I am sure it is Severus. Will he need Hermione to help him feel better? Maybe a meeting before the meeting will be best.
