*COMPLETE* This is the final installment of my Long Wait series. The kids are all a bit older and have been attending Hogwarts for a few years. They are also joined by some familiar names.

Just another SS/HG shipper wanting to make the world a Snapey place.
Reviews for Lestrange Days
OMG! Bellatrix is out for Severus' blood, and I don't think she would hesitate to hurt Hermione and the children just to rub salt in the wound.
Now, what is Osiris going to find out while skulking in the Headmaster's office?
Beth
I'll just bet those children are a handful! Six Slytherins and two Gryffindors can get into a lot of mischief- especially with Osiris and Crooks to egg them on.
Bellatrix was always into the gruesome stuff, so it doesn't surprise me that she would know about stealing someone's face. And of course Peter would be ready at her beck and call.
Beth
I have absolutely loved reading your story about Severus and Hermione, and their lives. Please let me know if you do ever revist these characters again because I feel like they have become part of my life.

Thank you so much for the compliment. My last story was A Tale of Two men. It's my favorite story that I have written in this genre. After the final book, it sort of took the wind out of my sails.
Response from musshel (Reviewer)
I also read A Tale of Two men....LOVED it.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thank you, I'm so glad you liked it. After that story, I felt I'd gone as far as I could with those characters. I'm blessed with having been able to write the stories I did.
great sequel!! loved seeing the families grow up. you have a knack for creating memorable characters. thank you so much.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. You've been busy this week! I really enjoyed writing this story. When I ended the Long Wait, I kept wanting to add more, then I figured I'd just write a long sequel and really tie things up better.

re: chapter 2;Actually, Buffy died for about five seconds in the season finale of season ONE....ahem, lol......sorry, couldn't resist. I love these stories. wish there were more, but love reading whatever you give us :Dmarti
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
LOL, I put season 2 didn't I? Oh well, I can never get that straight. I'll have to fix that. Thanks for telling me. And thanks for reading this and leaving me a review :)
Response from Marti (Reviewer)
It's alright, only a nerd like me would have caught it. I'd love to read more about Osiris and Crooks. I could see one of them harassing the other if he found a girlfriend...I really need to get off my duff and post some of my shorter stories here, lol....later, and thanks for responding
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
LOL, well Osiris has had his embarassing moments with sparrows...
You should post your stories here. This is a great place to post.
Ahhhh this whole series was so great! You kept Snape in character while also giving us an insight into his vunerabilities. There was one particular thing that you did with Hermione's character that I loved. A lot of fics portray her as this fearless, first in action type. But her staying behind while the rest went to find her son was more of a realistic thing to me. Just because we are in SS/HG fanfiction, it does not always equal to them being the heroes or heroines. Even the rest is a story.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thank you so much. I really appreciate your words.
I tried to keep Snape in character, but for obvious reasons he had to bend a little bit, if he was ever to fall in love and be a loving father.
And I especailly thank you for the Hermione comment. I got a bit of flack for that, but really it made sense. She still had a daughter, one that was very young. What if something were to have happened to both her and her husband? I had to have her stay behind. She's a mother and a wife, she's not a teenager anymore and her priorites changed.
I've had a horrible couple of days, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your lovely review. It's really helping me raise my spirits.
Big BAD DEATH EATERS - pah! Loving this *goes back to frantic reading*
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Aha, ex-Death Eaters LOL.
I've always thought Lucius to be a man who loves his son very much. Not knowing how we will see that in JKR's world, I thought I'd explore that here.
Thanks for reading this. I'm glad you're enjoying it.
Awww. Lovely story.
I'm happy you cured my beloved Remus. I think I'll miss Osiris and Crooks adventures now.
It was a great story. I don't think anything else short of squeeing.
*squeeee* I love it.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thank you! I'm so happy you enjoyed it.Out of all the Marauders, Remus has to be the one I can actually say I like. I hated Sirius, and I didn't much like James either. They were both horrible bullies, and Peter, well he's just a rat bastard. Thanks for taking the time to read this.
Sorry is taking me so long... I didn't have the time to read.
“Not only did I eat him, but in a few hours I will be fertilizing Professor Sprout’s Mandrakes with him.”
That was a great line! I love Crooks humor. ;)
Back to reading...
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
I think I enjoyed writing Crook and Osiris more than any of the other characters. I'm glad you enjoyed reading them.
May I ask if you were watching The Silence of the Lambs when you thought of Bella's escape? I know I was thinking of Dr. Lecter when you said she used the other woman's face as a mask. ;)
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
I wasn't watching it at the time, but I've seen it so many times I can practically recite the movie myself as it plays! LOL.I wrote that particular scene then after realized I probably used it because of Silence of the Lambs, because it's just what Dr. Lecter did. Only of course, Bella was a bit neater about it.
lovely series, i'd read the first part before but finding more of it was wonderful. good work.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed them all. I appreciate you taking the time to read them.
Awww. Nice wrap up. Will read the next one.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thanks. I'm glad you enjoyed the series.
I've been reading away and not reviewing (bad me!). I think I read your first one ages ago on Ashwinder, but you don't appear to be an author there now. Anyway, back to this chapter, I agree with you, Hermione would stay home in this instance. She would take her responsibility as a mother first. Been enjoying the saga!

Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Hi there. No, I don't post on Ashwinder anymore. I haven't for a long time, as I found their site shall I say downright opressive.I'm glad you enjoyed this chapter. I did get lots of questions regarding Hermione's behavior, but I thought it would be only natural for her to stay home. I think a lot of people tend to write Hermione as just an adult version of who she is now as a young woman, and they don't take into consideration the fact that as people grow and go through different stages in their life their attitudes change along with their beliefs sometimes.I mean, do you think and act the same way you did as a teenager? I don't have kids but I've observed from family and friends that parenthood changes the way you look at things. Thanks for reading this and taking the time to review.
Response from Chartreuse (Reviewer)
Oh, an author after my own heart!!! Yes, we all change and grow and most of us (but sadly not all) are not the same as we were at 16. This is why I like writing adult Hermione, we have so much more scope. Some people change radically in a few short years (I've seen it RL). I was a casual Ash surfer a long time ago, then dropped off, then came back to the fandom 9 months ago - I had wondered where you disappeared to; I'm so glad to have found you again.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
LOL, sadly I've known a few of those people that are still now in their late 30's yet act hte same way they did when they were 16. It's sad really.I'm glad you found this site as well. I hope you enjoy my other stories. I love this site. It is so writer friendly.
WHAT A FANTASTIC TALE! I'VE READ IT ALL IN ONE GO ( JUST CALL ME HERMIONE) AND HAVE ENJOYED EVERY SECOND. IT'S A STORY WITH REAL LONGEVITY, IT IS THE SORT OF STORY YOU CAN READ OVER AND OVER WITHOUT TIRING OF IT. WELL DONE!!!
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thank you so much. I'm very pleased that you enjoyed it. I tried to make it so you didn't absolutely need to read The Long Wait, and I wanted it to stand on its own. I appreciate your lovely words. It makes me feel good to know people enjoy my writing.
just had to stop by to visit one of mah fave stories. :) Naughty Bella... muahahahaha
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
LOL, funny you would stop by as I've just uploaded chapter 15.
Happy for crooks!! that my boy!! love rereading fic, again.. i forget so much...
love it.. onward to see next...
I've really enjoyed reading this wonderful seires! You really gave it such a wonderful ending.. But I'm actually sad that that was the end, and I'm hoping that in future you may just change your mind and expand things somewhat. Thanks for such a great story!
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thank you. I'm very happy that you enjoyed the series. I had such a wonderful time writing it. Who knows, I may or may not write something in the series again. For the time being, I'm having fun putting Severus and Hermione through different scenarios.
Great story nice ending
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thank you. I wanted to finish this particular series on a happy note for all of the characters.
Crooks,” Harry’s eyebrows shot up, “did you… eat Pettigrew?” he asked. Crookshanks stopped licking his paws, and looked at Harry. “Not only did I eat him, but in a few hours I will be fertilizing Professor Sprout’s Mandrakes with him.”WTG Crooks!!!!I am loving this series! Great job!Missy
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thanks so much. I'm happy you have been enjoying this.
Very nice ending for our favorite potions master. It was a wonderful ending to a wonderful story. I hope to read more of your stories soon. Please don't hesitate to post new adventures of our favorite couple.
Response from ancientgirl (Author of Lestrange Days)
Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I had not planned on a sequel to the original story, but thought it would be nice to do something which included their kids. And of course I couldn't let Osiris and Crooks go either. I appreciate you taking the time to read it.
Clever Bella and her nontracking spells. She thinks of everything doesnt she?
YOu just couldnt resist could you? scrotum ears
OH NO! Maybe Orisis can distract Severus with the Bella news. Really I think its his only hope.
