I'm giving the fic-thing a shot, since I enjoy writing. I have no 'ship of choice, though there are some I avoid. I like humour in the stories I read, and if you put Snape at his irascible best in the mix, I cannot help but take a look.
I only have one story here, and it's turned into a whopper in terms of length. If you're after a quick and easy read, this isn't it.

Yeah... I'm still a little lost too... I wonder if Gaelina isn't a Striker too... =P
I'm glad that Snape is having some of his questions answered. I'm sure it's still anoying him that he doesn't have a clear definition of what Chara is, but that just makes the reading more compelling. Look forward to the next chapter.
ohhhhhhhhhhhhh... and still the same question... what is she!!!???... XD
what is she!!!???
=P

Patience, my friend. Patience! ;) All will be revealed in time. And thanks for the top rating!
Wonderful as always. Chara's aversion to spiders makes Ron's seem like a meer dislike. Can't wait for the next chapter.
You are such a tease. It's not bad enough that I don't know what Chara is, now I want to know what Snape did, and if the Slytherin comment meant what I think it did. And what did they do on that table? It boggles the mind.

Sorry I haven't reviewed lately, but l barely have had time to read your wonderful story. Now that I have time to review I thought I'd let you know that I enjoy every installment of this story and look forward to more.

. I must confess that I'd thought I'd lost you as a reader! Most grateful for your review, as always.
Wonderful as always. Was she ingesting poison, or was she planning to ingest poison? Can't wait to find out.

! And in response to your question, no on both counts.
I loved that this was a longer chapter, and we are getting closer to finding out what Parr really is. I look forward to the next chapter.
yay, I knew she wasn't a typical muggle. I can't wait to find out what she is, or what has happened to her to make her so different. This is such a great story.

Thanks! And thanks for the 5 stars!
waiting for the mystery to unfold.
I so love this series. Snape at his nastiest is great. The fact that his punching bag not only bounces back, but punches back is even better. I read a review that didn't like Parr's sas, but I must vehemently disagree with that review and say that I would love to see more stories where Snape got tit for tat. I look forward to the next chapter.

Thanks! Yes, it was the first review that I'd had that expressed a dislike for Chara, which left me a bit surprised, but to be fair, I could see the reviewer's point. Chara is a bit of a cow in the manners department!
I am so looking forward to finding out what Parr is. I also love how much she irritates Severus. This is such an unusual and intriguing story that I wait with baited breath for the next update.

Thanks for the review. I love your username by the way! It's my hope to have another chapter submitted this weekend, so hopefully you won't have to wait too long - I'm guessing everyone will be reading HPDH!
Hmmm.... I'm not really fond of Chara. She's far too disrespectful. She interrupted his class, and seems to think that just because she's older she can say and do whatever she wanst. She should be made to wear the uniform. And Snape was nowhere out of line in asking her to tie back her hair when she comes to class -- it's basic safety protocol to keep long hair and dangling items out of the way of the flame, lest they catch fire. She is arrogant and clearly has little to no magical talent, if she can only take classes that require no spellcasting. I'd put her at being a Squib or perhaps even a Muggle, as she has far too much trouble walking in robes and writing with a quill to probably be of any other heritage. The concept of the story was ok, but if you're going to pair her with Snape (which it looks like you're trying to do because of her age), then she needs to come off her pedestal and learn some respect.Aside from my dislike of your original character, I like this story. Everyone is in character for the most part, and it is written well.

Hello
Response from Faraday (Author of Orion's Pointer)
, and thanks for your review. You are certainly correct in many of the things that you say here, though the reasons for some may not be what you think they are. I hope you do continue to like the story, but I'm afraid Parr's disrespect may be a sticking point - just thought I should warn you!
I'm thrilled!!!
Billiant, and we're getting closer to finding out what Chara is. I'm so excited.
Interesting, but what is a theriomorphic, kemaloids and sobaki, or and an ailuranthrope - did I miss something and have to back up a few chapters???It's amuzing that Lupin KNOWS who and what Chara is and that they have such a good relationship - but Snape is still in the dark.
Response from Faraday (Author of Orion's Pointer)
Therianthropy refers to the metamorphosis of humans into animals, therefore a theriomorph (or more accurately a therianthrope) is a human who shapeshifts into animal form. Kemaloids (think chameloid...chameleon...shapeshifter), sobaki and ailuranthropes are just particular kinds of theriomorphs. No, you weren't meant to know what they are.Lupin knows who and what Chara is because he's the one who found her. More than that I cannot say but you will end up finding out why the two of them get on so well (assuming I don't lose you along the way!)

Nope, you still got me - I'm still following along....
Just read it, always wants more

Ah, thanks. I've been very slow with the updates. RL is kicking my butt. I'm hoping to get more done over the Xmas break. Thanks for sticking with it!

you have such stamina to write over 50 chapters, so do continue to its swift conclusion or have two conclusions. it will be right up the alley!
I can't wait to see where you are going with this chapter. It's always interesting to see what you do with what looks like information not essential to the plot. Can't wait to see what comes next.
Oh!!... I just can't say anything else... I understand a little more... and then everything gets deeper and depper...
Love it!
thanks the update!
Response from Faraday (Author of Orion's Pointer)
Thanks for the review. Here's hoping that the story doesn't get so deep that we all drown!

Again, another winner of a chapter. I love how deep you penetrate into his thoughts and views, they are something I've never read before. Severus is a great character as well as Chara. You're descriptions are just amazing. You tell us so much, yet still leave us wanting more to put all the pieces together. Can't wait for more!

Thanks! I'm afraid there may be a wait for the next chater. I'm very snowed under with work at the moment. But then, sometimes I say that and out it pops!

Oh. My.
Severus is NOT going to like this, methinks . . . and what the devil is an Orion's Pointer???
Response from Faraday (Author of Orion's Pointer)
Well, in an effort not to give too much away, I'll just say that I have mashed together small pieces of the mythology of Boötes and Orion. If you Wikipedia it, you might spot what an Orion's Pointer is.
This was completely brilliant. Does Snape get an explanation of what an Orion's Pointer is next chapter? I look forward to more soon.
Response from Faraday (Author of Orion's Pointer)
Thanks! And in answer to your question, no. Not yet. Sorry.
ohhhh my!... I love the way Parr changes mood so easily. Although this story gets more and more intriguing... You make it all fit in place... =)
Risking spoilers...does this story follow canon until the end?... You know, Nagini and such... =P
Thanks for the update!!

"Risking spoilers...does this story follow canon until the end?... You know, Nagini and such..."The story follows canon, but how far along the HP timeline, I cannot say.
