It seems rather obvious that they are trying to make each other jealous. Or maybe jealous is the wrong word - are they trying to show each other that they each are no longer interested in the other? It's been my expereince that that approach rarely works. lol

I'm so glad you're not abandonning the story. I understand from the previous chapter that they have a back story together. I hope we will learn more in the future. And I love the baby black panther as a familiar. So much more elegant (and smug. That reminds me of someone...) than a cat.

Usually I avoid 100-word chapters, since with dial-up internet, it takes longer to load the page than to read it.  But i wanted a short-ish bedtime story and this is really pretty good. Thanks for sharing it.  you are using your 100 words to give us a lot of informaiton.  Loved the invitation and Hermione's response.

Cats do have a way of letting us know they are less than pleased with us.
