Fascinating concept, and a very good resolution to the problem of the Horcruxes. Thank you very much.
Very interesting, I take it Severus's Home is in 3 pieces, Dumbledor, Lily Evans and Hermione, so he can chose to stay or go.
You made me cry! Only the best stories make me cry! That was really lovely, thankyou.
That was very beautiful. I cried at the end as well.
BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO...take a bow. That was marvelous. Will add your name to my favorite authors list

You're making me blush! Thanks so much for reading & reviewing
How beautiful, you made me cry you know. I loved your story and if this is your first fanfic submission I urge you to write some more. Very, very well done!!!!

Awww - thank you! That's an incredible compliment, and I am glad you liked the story.
Compelling! I do think you've done well here. I'm 99% sure he lives. (Okay, it's late. Forgive me.) Please do write more.

Thank you! It's fun that you picked up on some ambiguity, because with the original concept I thought he died (I was sure my beta would hate the story!). Then I realized he didn't have to, and it didn't necessarily have to be clearly one or the other. In the end, though, a slant toward life seemed right.
That was wonderful. I have the perfect gift for Hermione. I have a refrigerator magnet that says "So it's not home sweet home...adjust!" I guess I'll either have to buy her one or give her mine....

whoops! My mouse got overanxious on me!
Thanks so much for reading & reviewing. I love the magnet - that would be hilarious
Oh, really well done! What a superb premise - and well written too.

I'm glad you liked it. Thanks for responding - and for the compliments!
This is wonderful! I love it. Such a beautiful story. Usually I don't like one-chapter stories but I stumbled over this one and thought I'd give it a try. It is a very nice story. I especially like the interaction of the portraits. And that ancient curse that takes the soul home. Interesting idea and such a hopeful outcome. I hope to read more from you in the future.

Thank you so much! I'm glad you enjoyed it, especially if it's not your normal cup of tea.
Very nicely done! It's a interesting idea that you kept realistic and dramatic.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the affirmation. (I love your work!)
Your first fanfic? I love it! I figure if Severus was that close to death, he'd be more direct than usual, too. Why dance around with words and sneer at people when it's the end, huh? You can almost feel his tiredness and pain in his words. A sequel would be a nice thing -- something to confirm he didn't make the wrong choice in choosing to stay with Hermione. Please? Good job - and thanks for your work!

Thanks so much for reading and responding! I agree, especially given the concept, that Severus wouldn't be sneering (much). I'm considering a companion piece or two, we'll see how life goes.
Lovely. Sweet without being sappy. You struck just the right note.

Thank you! I was trying not to cross that line, and am glad you think I managed.
Very nice! You had me worried there for a moment.
Response from ravine (Author of Home)
I was worried at first too! Thanks much for reading & reviewing.
Short and sweet. Interesting concept that souls can be called home.

Thanks I hope you enjoyed considering the concept!
Whoa, very interesting one shot. It makes me want you to write a longer background story. Very good description. It's one of those stories that makes me think - I like it!
Response from ravine (Author of Home)
Thanks so much! There turned out to be more to the story than the original image, and though I'm not sure I'll do a longer cohesive story, I think I may try a few companion pieces. I'm glad you liked it.
Love conquers all. Very well done, and not too fluffy.
