Too cute. And little Mairin is just like every other toddler out there who has caught their parents by surprise with her "outburst". You want to set them straight but it just doesn't hold enough water when you're crying from trying not to laugh. Been there, done that but still loved it in the form of this story. ^.^

daddy's little feminine perfection. Assuredly her encore performance would be in front of the muggle grandparents. Thanks for the short follow-up to 'Snape, A History'... enjoyed them both.

Oh my gosh! I love this. This is absolutely perfect. My co-worker is looking at me like I'm crazy because I'm giggling so hard. She thinks I have a really funny email and she wants me to send it to her. She's not a HP fan, so I will keep this to myself. Thanks for the laugh.

I've been reading your "I Married a Werewolf" when I decided to read another one of your stories. I came upon this one and I was utterly delighted. I laughed and laughed! As a parent I can honestly say I have been in Severus's shoes. I especially liked the part where it took months and months to toilet train but a matter of seconds for her to learn the very thing you don't want them to learn. Crazy but true. You may not read this review as I am posting so long after the story was written, but I still want to say I loved it!!

I absolutely adore this story! Little Mairin is certainly like her father! I loved Snape's insights into his marriage and acceptance of having a child...and all that entails. Thanks!

ROFLMAO. Yes, this is parenting at its best. Reminds me of the time my son, at age 4, told his teacher, "I'm going to kick your ass." Because daddy had the brilliant idea that Family Guy was for kids. Later my daughter, who has a lot more in the way of people skills than either my son or my husband, told me, "I promise not to say 'ass' at preschool."Love the story. Made me laugh almost as much as Hermione did.

Oh my, I have tears in my eyes from laughing so hard. Only someone who knows firsthand how easily a 3-year old pick up what not to say would be able to write such a brilliant story! I can just imagine the proud Severus watching his daugther playing "potions" contemplating about her brilliant mind, and then Boom, the sweet innoncent child opens her mouth and show you just how easily she does learn new things:-))

I have to say that my son (now 17) didn't embarrass me too badly or too often. The idea for this ficlet actually came from a friend, whose small nieces had picked up quite a vocabulary from their parents. Needless to say, the parents cleaned up their act immediately!
I'm glad you make a sequel of "Snape a history". I'm not parent myself but I can easily imagine what it could be to witness such a scene. "Merlin's hairy balls" um *big grin*
