YES right so far. Awesome story. Tamara
This story is a riot. I bloody love it. Tamara
Surprises just keep coming. Damn you are good. Tamara
oh boy more puzzles yippy. I can't wait to see if it works and how well it worked too. Tamara
I love puzzles, any kind that makes me use my brain, like this one. I'm not even going to tell my guesses because I know you won't tell so I'll just keep reading. Until next time. Tamara
OMG they are so going to be caught. I just know it. Be careful guys. Tamara
So the plan is moving right along. Beautiful. Tamara
She isn't the only one who wants to kill someone. Brilliant now she just has to fall for him and he's back. Perfect. Tamara
No way only 30. Unbelieveable. That pisses me off. I can't wait to see what name she comes up with. Tamara
OMG after reading the summary, I thought this would be something good to read and I was so right. I can't wait to see what is next. Tamara
Okay, I thought that this is a really genuine story and the plot is just amazing, with all the riddles and such. But, ( Yes, there is a but ^.^) I didn't like the kind of relationship Severus and Hermione were having. Maybe I'm spoiled by all the other storys I've read, but I think they talked to little about their companionship. Maybe because this isn't mainly based on romance, but I felt a little bit left out. I couldn't identify properly with them, so to speak. Above all, this story begets a very talented writer and I would be delighted if you choose to write a sequel.

*grin* I'm glad you enjoyed Invictus. I had a lot of fun writing it. You're right - it's not a romance. It's more of a thriller / mystery type of story. I chose not to dwell on the details of their relationship. As for a sequel... I am working on one. Slowly.

I'll be pleased as Punch! But whatever you do, take the time you need ^.^
I really enjoyed reading your story. It is creative on so many levels, and the characters are really well-done--very 'believable', so to speak.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed my tale. I had a lot of fun writing Invictus.
You wrote such a wonderrful response to the challenge! This is the 2nd or 3rd time I've read this and it's still a great read. Thanks!

Thanks! Glad you enjoyed my story.
I couldn't wait to finish this, so I came looking for it here. I liked it, I really liked it!Se onr sverdar sitja hvass!
Response from Doomspark (Author of Invictus)
Thanks! I had a great deal of fun writing it.
I definately enjoyed the story. It was well-written and plotted with wgood characterizations. I hate it when characters get too fluffy and sappy and these were great. I guess my one question is that with the love potion that Hermione brewed and dosed them both with, are they eternally slaves to it then? So, it's a darn good thing that they're happy with their situation, yes? :) Thanks for the story. (Loved the puzzles, they were great.) ~Ginny

I'm glad you liked my story. Yes, they're stuck for the time being - unless I write a sequel where they come up with an antidote. I had a lot of fun with the puzzles also - glad you enjoyed them.
I saw this story rec'd on Potter_Place about a week ago and finally had the time to sit down to read. I'm really enjoying it and stopped here to tell you how much I love puzzles and how very clever of you come up with all of these. I'm part way through the next chapter and I am quite certain that #36 is the answer to what happened to Albus Dumbledore. But I've also loved trying to figure out who is who, I know that that you made up a few of these, but the ones that are canon, I've enjoyed trying to pick-out. Such a clever man. :) ~Ginny

I'm glad you're enjoying the story and my puzzles. I had fun building them. Looking forward to more feedback from you!
I really enjoyed this story. It was fun to figure out the Muggle puzzles between chapters. A very interesting take on what to do with the Deatheaters. A good read.

This was originally meant to be a response to The Hollow Man challenge on WIKTT. The puzzles, however, were my own idea.
ACH!!!!!! Don't leave me hanging here!!!!!! Please continue soon!!!!!!!! I'm glad Fudge is dead, but now what is going to happen? I really doubt that Lucius is innocent, and I can't imagine any of them getting fair trials if they are un-Soulstruck! And what about Albus? Does he have any magic left or was that already stolen by Fudge?!
Response from Doomspark (Author of Invictus)
Actually, chapter 12 is the end of Invictus. It's possible I might write a sequel someday. *looks at WIP list* Maybe in a year or two.
Response from Satai Delenn (Reviewer)
You're kidding right?! It's an AWESOME story, but that ending just leaves me hanging! There is so much left to cover!!!!!
Oh Gods! How sad! My heart is being torn out! Poor Severus. I hope Hermione is able to save him and restore his soul!
Response from Doomspark (Author of Invictus)
*chuckle* Read the rest (and review) and find out!

lol. Well, I've moved on a few chapters since this one. I'm liking it very much so far. And as I do have some questions regarding other chapters, don't worry, I will be reviewing another chapter soon looking for answers to some questions!!!!!
Thrilling, shocking, wonderful and amazing story, thank you so much!
Author's Response: Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Extremely well developed plot, intruiging indeed! Severus was definitely OOC in a good part of the story, and I wish the ending had been a little more developed. Otherwise, very good story, keep up the good work.
Response from Doomspark (Author of Invictus)
Examples, please? Bear in mind that this was mostly written before OotP came out, so anything we "know" about Snape from Books 5 or 6 doesn't apply here.
And the notorious Doomspark spreads his wings on PP. Honestly, you've made me one happy little nss tonight (hope you know that even through all the teasing). I love this story. Thanks, Doomspark.

You're welcome NSS. Had to show support for one of my friends.
Dumbledore, curious bumblebee? I'm right ain't I? Damn fudge so glad what happened to him in HBP did. Not saying what case you ain't read it yet. Good so far but isn't GRIM a little cliche? Anyway, I like it! I'm rating this a four though because of Bill's dialouge he sounds like some honky redneck. I should know I'm surrounded by them. Still very good.
Response from Doomspark (Author of Invictus)
Invictus was written during the multi-year gap between GoF and OotP, so it doesn't take events in those books into account. You're not the first to point out Bill's dialogue as being slightly "off".

As for Curious Bumblebee, you'll have to read the rest to find out.
So I came over here because I saw your story at ashwinder and wondered if it was already posted here. Thank heavens it was!
I loved this story. You set it up so well - I literally gasped and did a double take [while my heart pounded] when Hermione read the last name to the long puzzle. Very well done, in all aspects.

Thank you for such a wonderful story!!! I loved all the details you have woven thorough out this very clever tale. The back story you gave for the house elves is the sort of thing that fleshes out a story and puts flesh on its bones.I felt sorry for Harry that he lost Sirius again after only just finding him, but I'm glad you had him make peace with Severus. Well done. And I am thrilled you have begun posting your sequel! I am very interested to see how this story of Hermione and Severus progresses.Thank you for this. I love having Albus back, and maybe even Lucius will be brought back to health. I love it!Beth
Response from Doomspark (Author of Invictus)
In Golden Gain, we'll definitely be learning more about Sirius' death - and we'll see Lucius again.
