I'm a 26-year-old Accounts Payable manager for a construction company. Basically, I'm paid to write checks and intimidate the menfolk around here. I live with my boyfriend and our dog. I wasn't sucked into the HP fandom until just after the release of HBP. So, I'm a newbie compared to most of the fans out there. I've written in several other fandoms (under different pennames) - Anita Blake, Buffy, X-Files, etc.

Loved it!
Awww ... I love a happy, sweet Christmas tale. What took me so long to come across this?!
What an excellent Christmas eve. I enjoyed it very much

LOL Sugar sweetness! I can't help but write it with a bit of angst. Glad you enjoyed it!
Oh so cute =)!! I loved this one-shot! Very well writen!

Thanks!
That was very sweet and very well written. Most Herms/Sev stories are very...explicit, shall we say? and I enjoyed reading something a little more modest. Well done! Thanks for the great story,Sue:o)

I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yes, most SS/HG tends to gravitate toward explicit. This particular story was for the LJ Fic Exchange, so I was trying to be safe since the requester didn't specify smut or not. As much as I love to read the smut, I also enjoy finding a story that is a bit more innocent.
I believe I have read this long time ago somewhere else. Is that right? I have a distant feeling that I found this while you were posting Love Him In My Absence last year. In any case, this is as wonderful now as it has been back then. Beautiful.
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
Yes, it was originally posted in December of last year as part of the LiveJournal SS/HG Fic Exchange. After the master list of authors was revealed, real life got hold of me. I didn't think to post it in an archive until now. Anyway, I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed it. Thanks!
Aww, that was really sweet. I quite enjoyed it, and it moved really well. Who cares that it's April, I had snow up where I live last weekend, so it still feels like it could be Christmas. Loved the Ebenezer Scrooge reference, it made me giggle.

I'm glad you enjoyed it! And I hope that snow has melted since then. As much as I like snow, it really needs to be spring right now.
So, I'm oddly wonderful? Hee. Anyway, I love reading Christmas stories, even in April. That one was particularly sweet.
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
I'm sure you are at least wonderful, thought oddly wonderful might apply as well. :-) Glad you enjoyed it!
What a lovely tale. :)

Thank you!
Great story! I really liked how you were able to have them learn about each other in subtle ways while they tried to overcome the awkwardness of the situation. I laughed out loud when Snape admitted to spending the month of October finding the perfect combination of herbs for turkey! Great ending too, you can tell its the start of something very beautiful....thank you.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. And beign so weird about mixing herbs for cooking just seems like such a Snpae thing to do.
Oh I just loved this story :) You've really captured the akwardness of the new situations the characters are thrown into - I could just feel it! Loved your characters, particularly Severus is very believable with his insecurities. Also, the beginning of the story was wonderful and unique (the way you portrayed the people & things Severus admired). Anyway, just wanted to say thank you for a truly enjoyable story, I've added this as one of my favourites :)
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
I'm happy to hear that you liked the story and added it to your favorites. Thank you for that!
This was very sweet - and as we still have quite a few inches of snow out the window, it's possible to convince one that it's still December.I thought you did a nice job of capturing both characters nicely.
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
Thanks! I feel sorry for all of you with snow on the ground. It's on the tops of the mountains here, but it was in the mid-60s where I'm at the bowl of this city.
*applauds* Well done!...Mind you, I'm biased and think it needs more, including a deliciously UST-y descent into Smutville, followed by a fluffy Happy Ending™, but that's just me. Of course, if anyone else waves a torch irately/hopefully for such a thing, I'm quite willing to prod you more firmly in that direction... *innocent eyelash flutter, & not so innocent smirk*~Lotm
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
Thank you! As for the lack of smut, I was trying to be safe for the exchange. Although, now that you mention it, the story is missing quite a bit of UST. And I love UST. Why didn't I write more UST, dammit!
Response from ladyofthemasque (Reviewer)
Relax! Write a second scene, and throw in more UST. Or write something else, and toss in oodles of UST! Go for it!~Lotm
Happy Christmas indeed! That was just delightful. Thanks for bringing us an April Yule.
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
You're most welcome! I didn't anticipate many people reading it since it's April and all, but I should have known the wonderful people here would be receptive.
This is simply an exquisite little story. You've captured Severus and Hermione so well, and the details were lovely. It definitely puts me back in the Christmas spirit (along with the unseasonably cold temperatures outside).
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it. At least the cold temperatures are good for something, then. I'm certainly not enjoying them all that much.
I remember reading this at the exchange! And I don't mind reading it again, even now in April :D
A wonderful story :)
I loved the description of Hermione eating :D And how Severus looks down at his own plate afterwards, haha. The details in this story are wonderful. And Severus' hesitancy is so endearing.
Well done!
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
Thanks! Happy to hear that you enjoyed it both times you read it. :-)
A sweet and tasty Christmas story is great ANY time of year!!! And this one is just more proof of my point. It's all just wonderful. I'm so happy you decided to gift us all with it!!

I thought I'd try Christmas in July a few months early. Glad you enjoyed it!
Not probably what you'd want to hear but I got the warm fuzzies when reading this ^_^Its adorable!A Great story - and it didnt even have them jumping each others bones too! My inner commentry kept on saying 'aww' Even if it is a Christmas story its still good enough to read anyday of the year I'd say :)
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
I love giving (and getting) the warm fuzzies! Glad the late (early?) Christmas tale sent some your way. :-)
Ahhh! What a lovely story, sweet and tender. I know that I may be one of the weird ones that appreciates a Christmas story in April, but hey! You gotta lov' em'. *grin* Cheers!
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
Thank you! Glad to hear that you enjoyed it. And I'll be weird with you because I like Christmas-y stories all year round. They are usually filled with warm fuzzies.
Love it! Just beautiful!!!
Response from anogete (Author of The Gryffindor of Christmas Present)
Thank you!
Loved it, especially this line: "with a delicate strength that made his heart want to pump out of his chest and throw itself in her lap as a sacrifice." Simply wonderful.

Thank you! Glad you liked it!
what a lovely story. i thought you portrayed the hesitation and awkwardness of their new relationship unfolding very well. and i especially enjoyed your depiction of insecure snape. who wouldn't love a snape like that for christmas!
